On July 9, 2003 my girlfriend Amy and myself attended what was my fourth Dave show, and her second. All I can say is that this particular show had one of the most interesting and diverse setlists I've ever heard Dave perform live. They opened with The Stone which was really cool, and they played songs like Don't Burn the Pig, Dreaming Tree, and Pay For What You Get, which you don't here live to often. They also played some old favorites like So Much To Say, Stay, Ants Marching, Dancing Nancies, and so on. Overall the band was just extra charged with energy that night, and it was probably my favorite show so far. We also hung out by Dave's bus before the show, and we ended up meeting Carter which was just awesome, and he signed our tickets and I got a picture with him. With that in mind it felt like the show was being performed just for us that night, and I just wanna support those guys more and more. Peace out.

Great show FELLAS! Some repeats from the weekend at Alpine, but still a solid outing. The highlights for me were definitely Dreaming Tree - what a surprise!!!!!!, and Boyd's solos - man I wish he played like that on his cd. Carter also kicked ass tonight, nothing new, but kicked ass - even busted a snare early-on. Fonzie was definitely into it tonight too - especially during Warehouse when he was "whoooing" with everyone during the intro. sad that this will be my last show this tour - to everyone yet to experience dmb in 2003, ENJOY!!!!!!!

Overall the show was awsome, obviously because it is a Dave show. I have seen the past three shows DMB has played in Mpls, I think this show comes in at second best I've seen here in mpls. The show needed a little more Carter. For highlights, First, The stone as an opener was just sweet. They played a song that I had been waiting to hear ever since BTCS came out was pig, and I got to hear It, It was very cool. I went bazerk when I heard rhyme and reason, that song was so energetic. A great moment was when they played Warehouse then dancing nancies. During Nancies boyd had a super long and amazing solo. Ultimate high was when they played so much to say into stay. During So much to say dave went nuts. The set was very original. The oncore, of course, was very sweet. Stefan played the slide intro to grace is gone then they wrapped it up was an amazing version of ants marching. Another Awsome Dave Show, have fun the rest of the tour people!

This was my 28th show but my first of the 2003 tour. Overall, it was a very solid show. Nothing spectacular but good to get a mix of stuff from all the tours with more from the older ones. HIGHLIGHTS: The Stone (great opener and underrated tune), Grey Street (this song rules), Pig (one of their best live tunes and it didn't disappoint), Warehouse-Nancies-Dreaming Tree trio, my first PFWYG since my first show in '95, Grace is Gone and Cry Freedom. DISAPPOINTMENTS: crowd was weak until Nancies (the weakest Target Center crowd I've seen), especially with how many on the floor left during Pig, PFWYG, and Dreaming Tree- definitely what people would call "Crasheads". R&R is a good tune but I've heard it every year since '95 so I'd prefer some new flavor like Captain or Raven. Overall, I'm learning how much I like the non-radio hits from BTCS. Pig, Last Stop, The Stone, and Dreaming Tree are all amazing live and solid on the album as well while DDTW and Stay are nothing to write home about. Anyway, good to see the boys again and will see you at the Rose Garden in August...

What an excellent show! The band put on a magnificent display of talent, playing many older songs. Highlights of the night included Dreaming Tree, Last Stop, the Stone as an opener, Grey Street, and a unique So Much to Say segued into Stay. Warehouse also segued into Dancing Nancies when usually it is the other way around. The encore included Stefan on the keyboard to play an intro to Grace is Gone, then he quickly switched back to his Bass. Overall another great show put to rest with an intense Ants Marching. No electric guitar needed on this show! The only negative was that the Minnesota fans weren't nearly as into it as the Wisconsin/Alpine fans were just a few days ago, but nonetheless still a fun night.

This was my first DMB concert, and it will be hard to beat... To begin, the opening song the stone was great, it really got me int the concert right away... and I was entranced by the music, especially when they started to play the the more popular songs, like grey street, so much to say, stay, they were amazing, when i would hear everyone around me singing, it was the time of my life, but the best part of the concert was the encore, when they came back out and started up with Grace is Gone, and then went right into Ants Marching, it was amazing, there are no words to explain the excitment i had before, throughout, and after the concert, and this is my first concert of many to come... Keep Goin guys, I'll be here for you everytime you come back to Minnesota. Thanks for the time of my life.

This was the third Dave show that I've seen in a week and I'm glad that I went to it. Dancing Nancies was by far the greatest song that I've heard them play ever. Boyd went into about an 8 minute solo that got the crowd riled up more than I have ever seen a crowd. It was a great show

A semi-solid performance by Dave and the Boys. My 3rd show, all at Target. The highs outweighed the lows, but The Stone is not a good opener, Pay For What You Get should never EVER be played in concert, and bad placement of Dreaming Tree turned into a buzz kill. However, the jam-outs of Warehouse, Nancies & Ants proves that Under the Table is the best album. Unfortunately, the show didn't gain much momemtum until Last Stop halfway through, but they finished up nicely. But next time they better be at the X, the sound at Target gets worse every show.

This was my first ever DMB concert and I must say it was awesome. The band played most of my favorites including Grey Street, Last Stop, Warehouse, and the So Much To Say ---> Stay was quite unexpected but very cool. The song I wanted to hear most was Ants Marching and I was telling my brother that they would probably end with it and he was like "they never end with Ants" but he was suprised and I was ecstatic when they choose to end with it, including a super-long jam intro.

This was my third dave concert, and it was by far the best concert I've seen. I loved the variety of the setlist, and many of the songs I had never heard live before. Opening with the Stone was just amazing, and I was so happy to hear Don't Burn the Pig. The crowd was totally into it, and the energy was there from the start. Warehouse w/ the stop time intro rocked the house, and hearing Cry Freedom just made my night. After hearing So much to say, I knew they were going to ASTB, but hearing Stay straight after was a pleasant surprise. DREAMING TREE, does it get any better than that? Nancies had a sweet jam, and of course, hearing Ants is always nice in the encore (Grace is gone was great to hear, esp. with the kickin' solo by Steffan). Overall, amazing performance, and hope to see these guys again soon. Peace and love.

This was my 6th DMB show and by far the best. The first 4 songs were ones I've heard before, but probably the best renditions I've heard to date. Pig was simply spectacular. The band was just so full of energy you could feel it. When Pay For What You Get started I got the feeling that this wasn't going to the average show. The next highlight was definitely Last Stop. It's a song that I don't like much on the album, but live they just rocked it. On the outro Dave went right into an modified version of the "hidden" song at the end of BTCS. Spectacular. Another particular interest was Warehouse where Stephan and Carter actively got the crowd going during the stop-time intro. Stephan really lit that one up. Warehouse continued straight into Nancies where Boyd decided to get involved heavily. And did he ever. Greatest song of the night in my opinion. Boyd just got into everyone's face in his solo. It seemed like he was in a boxing match with Dave there for a while. They hugged after the song, it was nice. Grace and Ants made for a great closer and not a soul was disappointed. I almost forgot, Carter was simply amazing the entire time. Makes you wonder how much better they can get.

This concert was amazing it was my very first concert ever. I was proud that I got row 2 in front of the stage seat 1, right in front of Dave. I am just so so extaticly happy. I'm 8 years old and I couldn't beliEve it that I saw Dave wink and pointed at me at my very first concert. I cried. I just love Dave Matthews songs. I even got the original setlist at the end of the show. I can't beleive that my mom has the whole collection of CD's. I just want to say to the band THANKS SO MUCH!!!!!

Wow, i really enjoyed this show! Don't let anybody fool you if they give this show a bad review sighting a lack of "jam" song I.E. #41, Jimi, 2Step, Seek Up (or any other selections from Remember Two Things for that matter), ect. True, it would have been benefitial to substitute a jam song for "FTT," yet i've heard those songs live before and moved by tonights selections without them. What we got tonight were very well played songs! Nice to hear Dreaming Tree (a favorite of mine from BTCS.) Also, DANCING NANCIES was played... any night i will pay for tickets just to hear that song live. Overall the band's sound was very TIGHT. Thanks, i don't know how to rate this show, but it is HIGH on my list (7 and counting.)

I have to say this show had one of the strangest and most mixed setlists. It was a great show, although the crowd was kind of lame...they sat down during most of the slow songs, and very few people were dancing. Oh well. THE STONE as an opener...i really enjoyed it. I've been waiting to hear the stone live, and it was great to finally get it. YOU NEVER KNOW was ok, not one of my faves but Carter had a sweet intro. GREY STREET was great to hear, it was a really solid version. DON'T BURN THE PIG I heard last summer at Alpine Valley, it was fun to hear again. PAY FOR WHAT YOU GET came next, it was good to hear an older song. Right before it dave mentioned "This song is about the Mall of America", it was hilarious. WTWE and R&R...pretty good, nothing really new. LAST STOP!!! I've been waiting to hear this song live forever, it was great, with a well played outro. CRY FREEDOM was fun to hear, it was during this song that I was ousted from the front row aisle and forced back into my behind the stage seats..oh well. FOOL TO THINK was alright. WAREHOUSE-->DANCING NANCIES was great to hear, Dave threw in a little "This is not my beautiful house.." it was great. DREAMING TREE was also really well played. SMTS-->ASTB-->STAY!! What a surprise, it was great!! Butch sang some of the Lovely Ladies' part...it was really funny. The encore was GRACE IS GONE and ANTS MARCHING. Grace slowed things down a bit...and ANTS MARCHING was solid, although they've played it as their encore song like eight billion times. All in all I think it was a great show, LAST STOP really made it for me.

Overall, I would say that this show was pretty kick ass, but it seemed to take the band awhile to get into it. Maybe it was because the system in the Target Center was not set up properly, and I could barely hear Dave singing the first two songs! But when we could start to hear him, AMAZING! Grey Steet is always good, but hearing Pay for what you get, with a little Norweigen Wood in there! Going on in the show, all of the songs were great picks, and the energy really started picking up! Dave started doing his dance more and more! The crowd kept cheering like mad for that! I would have to say, that Warehouse into DN was awesome, but DREAMING TREE=KILLER! My jaw was on the ground! Momentum just kept building, until the end of the set, and the encore was great! The only drawback of the show was the venue...Minneapolis needs to have a great venue for outdoor shows! Otherwise, great job guys!

This show was incredible!!! Pay For What You Get, Last Stop, Cry Freedom and Dreaming Tree were all played. The whole band had a ton of energy during this show. Boyd had an excellent solo performance at the end of Dancing Nancies. Every member of the band played their hearts out all night long!!! I have been looking forward to this show for a long time and it did not disappoint.

This was my 11th show, and i have to say probably the best setlist i've seen performed other than D & T. Dreaming Tree, Cry Freedom, and Pig were definitely not expected to be all played in the same night. Then the ASTB into stay was pretty intense, along with a pretty jammed out Last Stop and Nancies was incredible. Dave danced more than i remember in recent shows, and the whole bands' energy was up the whole night except Boyd's when he wasn't doing a solo in a song. Overall probably the best show i've seen as a whole band.

9th show, and setlist wise, probly the best. this was the first time i hadn't looked at the setlists prior to the show and it was well worth it. happy to hear stone as an opener. after that the energey kept growing. highlights, cry freedom, pfwyg, and pfcourse last stop. it was my first time hearing all of these, im so glad the guys are playing them again. as usual, pig was great, nancies, warehouse, and astb into stay was cool, and very unexpected. carter and butch did some nice vocals on this one. the only let down was that target center is shit, and i really hated the way the crowd sat down so much. dmb crowds suck, it really is depressing. oh yeah, they fucking played dreaming tree too, wow how did i not shit my pants. i look forwarding to hopefully seeing them at alpine next summer.

This was my first Dave concert, and I was not disappointed. I was very pleased with the setlist, and the guys seemed to be at the top of their game. Some particular highlights: The Stone was a great opener, one of my favorites. You Never Know was incredible! Leroi's solo on PFWYG was breathtaking! They really rocked the outro on Last Stop. Boyd tore it up on Dancing Nancies...WOW! Leroi's solo on Dreaming Tree was again stunning. SMTS was great, and then going right into Stay was awesome. They jammed on Stay for a good while, and really had the crowd going. Encore was great! The one song above all others that I hoped to hear was Ants, and to have that be the closer was great. All in all, a superb experience, with the band wowing me with their exceptional musicianship!
