Well, maybe it was just because this was my first DMB show, but Dave and the guys sounded better than ever. The setlist was great, the crowd the great, the energy was there...it was perfect. I do not want to go into an explanation for every song, I know you all can read the setlist! I just want to point out my highlight of the night, a killer Nancies leading right into Warehouse...just like the good 'ol days!!!!! I was jumping all over the place, and trust me, I was not the only one. Im traveling up to Pittsburgh to catch the boys both nights, hopeing to hear some more older tunes. I end on this note...all those people out there that get too critical of Dave shows, how the setlist wasnt good enough for them....anyone that has seen the band live knows that whatever songs they play, it is a great show! Much love to everyone!

ALl I can say is wow wow wow this show was unreal.....out of this world...amazing setlist all songs performed immaculately. I did it was a great opener because we knew we got that one out of the way. I called Pig as an opener and it was 2nd...close enough..then You Never KNow.. my first time hearing it live..the guys didn't let me down...then Captan. During the sound check they played when the world ends and nancies so I knew I'd hear those...again nancies a song I'd never heard live...AMAZing... I loved the Bartender was not proceeded by BIg Eyed fish...not that I don't like it but it was more of a surprise... Drive in Drive out flowed right into warehouse...the energy was insane.. Blue water was a great tease...my first time hearing Gravedigger absoluetly loved it.....the the closer I had been hoping for for weeks....What You are..complete with "down on your knees motherfucker" What a night......this show made up a million times for VA Beach...at least I can be glad this is my last show of this tour....it kicked major ass..that night of rest did them well.

This show was great. People will say otherwise b/c of the IDI opener, but dammit, the show was great. IDI-not the BEST opener, but hey, it rocked tonight and got everyone moving. PIG-I love this song, and am so glad they played it, much less to perfection like they did tonight. YNK-for some reason, I wasn't terribly excited to hear it, but it was awesome, especially carter's drum solo leading into it. CAPTAIN-nice nice nice. I liked this a lot, it fit in the set well. WTWE-this is where the set took a fall. I could've done without this, it was played fine, but isn't it always? FOOL TO THINK-the fall continued. I like this song, actually, but do we need two everyday songs back to back? It was played well, though. OSW- this was great, dave was dancing all over the stage and it seemed longer than usual. BARTENDER- this is where the set really climbed back up. this was so intese that i got goosebumps several times. the wailing was extended and crisp. gotta love it. and no, it was not shorter than usual, about 12 minutes. DIDO-one of my faves live, it rocked as usual. dave improvised lyrically, so it was even better! great great jam. NANCIES- yes! heard it soundchecked earlier in the day so i had some hope to hear it tonight! this is when the night took a turn for setlist heaven. this is my all-time favorite dmb song (besides two step) and it was so f*cking unexpected. it was long, too, with a great, fantastic, terriffic boyd solo. WAREHOUSE- nancies segued into warehouse, which was almost better than nancies, if you can believe it. this song WAS played to perfection tonight, and i felt a bizarre, overwhelming happiness during the "That's our blood down there..." outro. God I loved this. WINGS- knew it was coming, it needs a lot of work. it calmed the crowd down, and the boys needed a breather after the last two songs. still, this is a throwaway until they complete it. WAYG- this song should not be tagged along with loving wings, they're both too soft. WAYG is still good though, and was no different tonight. KKJ- my god, this was great. it was jammin. i love the improvised lyrics, something about plastic men and plastic @$$holes. this was a highlight. DAD- i expected another song here, one that would close the set. so glad to hear this though, it's sweet, and i'd much rather hear this than grace is gone. nothing against grace, but i've heard it at all my shows thus far. great version of ditch! GREY STREET- sort of a disappointing closer, although it was played extremely well and the screaming from dave shook the roof. encore: there was a brief blue water tease, enough to excite me. GRAVEDIGGER- I don't like it, and would much rather hear a solo Ain't it funny, long black veil, or waste. oh well, we got it. WYA- this was awesome tonight, simply awe-inspiring. though, i was hoping for billies or ants, but what can you say? it was played so well that i forgot i had wanted to hear the others. OVERALL, the show was great, lacking in some areas (WTWE, FOOL TO THINK, LOVING WINGS) but blew me away in others (NANCIES->WAREHOUSE, DIDO, OSW, KKJ, WYA). I'd give it an 8 out of 10, and the weather was nice and dave and the boys seemed to really enjoy themselves. BTW, skip los amigos invisibles (the opener), they sorta sucked, except for that "Coochie, Coochie." song that they played. that was sorta cool.

Although I've only been to 2 shows (I've heard many many others), this has to be the best show I've ever heard/seen. Even though 2 of the beginning 3 songs weren't what I was looking for, they were all played really great. This set up for the rest of the show, which was incredible. Captain was just great(in my opinion, the most improved song from Lillywhites to Busted Stuff), and When The World Ends was great too. Fool To Think, even though played well almost killed the vibe. That was until One Sweet World was played. It was so beautiful I almost cried. Other highlights included great versions of Bartender and Drive in, Drive Out along with an excellent Dancing Nancies --> Warehouse combo, with Boyd going crazy on Nancies and lots of energy from the band on both songs. It was nice to hear Kit Kat Jam with words, Grey Street has really come along and they played it good, and What You Are was great too. This one is a classic, everyone should look for it if they can get it.

Somehow, a lot of people seemed to not enjoy tonights show. I don't understand why?? Not the most amazing show I've witnessed, but it was a lot of fun, and the band was tight. Several personal firsts for me as well, which as always is much-appreciated. Its good to have DMB return to Nissan. First off, amazing weather today. Put everyone in a great mood, including the band. Traffic wasn't as bad as I planned for. The opening band was a horrendous waste of 45 minutes (why cant DMB stick with good openers like Soulive or Bela Fleck or Govt Mule) but who the fuck cares... I Did It: oh no. not a good start. at all. But it was over in 3 minutes, so I almost forgot about it when they (in my mind) restarted the show with... Pig: Great placement, would have been a much better opener. Fit the mood quite well. A little different than the past Pig's I have encountered. Boyd decided to play about 5 mini solos in this one. All were good. Very mellow, then an intense finish. Great song. Good to have it back. Fit very well with the following... You Never Know: Enjoyed Carter's little intro. What a powerful song. Roi plays a beautiful soprano sax. Dave snapped a string, which kinda disrupted his playing on the song. Again, perfect for the atmosphere. Captain: I was very happy to hear it, but I thought I would be disappointed in it's new form. It was a pleasant surprise. A mixture of LWS and BS ideas in terms of the music, and Dave repeated the bridge an extra time while Boyd and Roi noodled around. WTWE: Ahhh. Very nice. Great placement. Roi added his usual spice to the end. Fool to Think: why can noone appreciate this song?? There were people in front of me flicking off the big screen (dave) when the song started. I think this song sounds incredible live, and even the cheesy lyrics work. Roi and Carter brought this one to a boil, and Dave's guitar work was impressive. One Sweet World: Perfect. So relaxing, and I love listening to Roi's smooth alto sax on this one. Not quite as bad-ass as Virginia Beach's version, except for Dave's scat singing at the end, which was impressive. I beleive Dave and Carter gave eachother a high five afterwards. Butch could have gotten a little more involved here. Bartender: Looking back, a Big Eyed Fish > Bartender or Bartender > Grace would have put the show up to a much higher level, but Bartender was fantastic. again, pefect placement, and Dave's wailing was great. Like OSW, Butch really shoudl have gone off at the end, but he didn't and instead Roi stood around for about 2 or 3 minutes before starting the pennywhistle jam. Still very intense and definitely gave me the chills. DIDO: Hell yeah. God damn, great song placement. Great energy and Carter drove this one home. Dancing Nancies: I couldnt beleive I was hearing this. First time for me. I doubt Boyd's solos will sound good on the tape, but the energy on this song was incredible, definitely the peak of the night. Warehouse: wow. back to back. Roi was unbeleivable. He definitely carried this show on his back, as Boyd and Butch were quiet. Loving Wings: well, at least everyone sat down so I had an unobstructed view. This song is gorgeous, and a good jam as well. THey actualyl got pretty intense once Roi started wailing on that soprano sax again. Reminded me of his Proudest Monkey / Heartbeat Jam type solos. Good shit. And his volume was jacked, a welcome surprise. WAYG: Nothing new, but sounded beautiful. Butch and Roi soudned sweet. Kit Kat: Out of left field, i expected Dave to be playing the electric for this, but no, it was the 12 stringer, and it sounded great. Roi was smokin once again. Dave's singing was good, fit well. DAD: Great song. Was it me or was Dave really out of tune?? I couldnt quite tell. Oh well, sounded really good. Grey Street: Another terrific tune, but the multiple minutes wasted before breakign into this one killed a lot of the energy. It was tightly played tho, and LeRoi finished off the night with a bang. Seemed really short though. As in, maybe just barely over 5 minutes? Maybe not. Definitely needed at least one more song (preferably older). WWYS or Tripping was desperately needed to polish off hte set. Blue Water > Gravedigger: WOW. Gravedigger has come a long way, and it sounded intense even as just a solo Dave song. the lyrics were crystal clear tonight, and dave really got into this one. Perfect lead up to... What You Are: holy shit. I was hoping praying to god on high for LIOG, but once the electric foudn its way into Dave's hands, this one suited me just fine. Curiously enough, despite the mindfuckingly great intro (think Pink Floyd, maybe Sorrow, or a song with that sort of feel, and mix it with Passion from Peter Gabriel, and you get the WYA intro) and the "you better get down on your knees and pray motherfucker" outro, a bunch of shitbrains in front of me again decided to flick dave off. WYA was insane, and Butch made his presence felt here. great stuff. made my night. Yeah, it was another short show, and lacked any sort of real jam songs, but somehow I really enjoyed it. I wasn't even THAT disappointed about Seek Up not reappearing. Got real sick of hearing airheaded girls calling into the local stations complaining about how the show sucked and it will be their last show. "Like, we only heard about 3 whole songs, and the only one we knew was where are you going, so we left before the encore to beat traffic" PATHETIC PATHETIC PATHETIC. I hate stupid people. That is all. Polaris should be good.

Holy jees ---- nothing more needs to be said. this was my third show of this tour and by far the best, though all were excellent. I have heard IDI in all three and was getting a little bored with it, although I DO like the song, i was glad to see it out of the way early. Fool To Think was excellent and i love You Never Know more each time i hear it. One Sweet World I have never heard live before .... simply awesome. Bartender and Grey Street were perfect as usual. OH MY GOD Nancies and Warehouse un-fricking-believable. As the night wore on it dawned on me that the usual encore material had been used up could it be---could I hear Watchtower......well the next best thing. BLU WATER BABOON FARM - ARE YOU KIDDING ME HOW COOL WAS THAT. Gravedigger was amazing a great new song, Loving Wings has a way to go. What You Are "PRAY DOWN ON YOUR KNEES MOTHERFUCKER....!" need I say more? Great show. nothing more! High Points,,,,,,,,,everything Low Points,,,,Horrendous traffic both ways

HOLY CRAP!! I CAN'T BELIEVE I WAS ACTUALLY THERE FOR THAT.... We sacrificed being parked in the front of the lot so we were long long time getting out to get there early enough to hear the soundcheck. DMB rewarded those who were there for an extra helping of WTWE and Dancing Nancies - which was technically my first time hearing it live, so unfortunately I was unsuprised when I heard it durring the concert. But since everyone one else has already said what needed to be said about most of the songs I want to add that Although I was dissapointed hearing I Did It for the sith time, It sounded better than ever. Pig, although I've already heard it several times this year litterally sent shivers down my spine and I was partially quivering from the joy and the beauty of the song. Everything was going along just peachy until I recognized the first few notes of Nancies. If anybody had been in their seats prior to that, I think it got the whole house on their feet. Nancies into Warehouse was INSANE! I have never felt THAT much energy durring my 6 prior DMB Concerts. I was just through the roof. I am sad and dissapointed in myself that I couldn't recognize the Blue Water tease - chalk it up to not owning the right shows and not enough experience (PLUS THEIR NOT REALEASING THE DAMN SONG! :=)) Gravedigger was a live first for me as well. Its sweet, and me and my friend were singing the chorus on our way out of nissan. What You Are - I couldn't hear anything dave was saying due to the people around me, but i was excited anticipating the start of the song. I Love this song SO much! Saves Everyday. "You Better Get Down on your Knees MOTHERFUCKER" - need I say more? I actually liked the opening band. I definately liked their beat and style. The fucking keyboardist was head banging, it was awesome. Davespeak "Hello to all you out on the grass. You better not be smoking that weeds. I'm just kidding, I don't care"

Well...this is my third show for this summer tour and it was pretty damn awesome! i had a good feeling about tonight...dave was playing for his home state and i think he really enjoyed it. anyways onto the setlist...I DID IT...not a great opener but at least its less than 4 minutes long. PIG was awesome, i love this song, one of my favorites from BTCS. YOU NEVER KNOW and CAPTAIN were so good. two of the best and i love carter's drum intro. WHEN THE WORLD ENDS and FOOL TO THINK were typical, nothing great. ONE SWEET WORLD was great as always, the scat at the end is so cool. BARTENDER is so amazing in concert, dave really gets into this one. DRIVE IN DRIVE OUT...a classic as usual. then the most amazing part of the night....HE SUNG DANCING NANCIES!!!!!! oh my god this was so amazing. just when i thought it couldnt get any better he goes into an incredible version of WAREHOUSE! oh wow this was so damn cool! i had lawn seats so as usual everyone was talking through LOVING WINGS so i couldnt hear it well. WAYG was alright. i really like KIT KAT JAM, the band was really into this song and jammed for awhile. DIGGING A DITCH was ok but again i couldnt really hear him because all the people around me talked through it. GREY STREET i think was a great closer. i just love this song. the encore was predictable. i really like GRAVEDIGGER, i think i years to come its going to become a classic. WHAT YOU ARE was good, but i was hoping for two step...oh well. highlight of the show was when i was in the parking lot leaving, dave's tour bus went by and he was sitting in the front waving to everyone:) anyways see everyone later!

what a day at nissan pavilion, a real emotional rollercoaster. all started off well with some good ole tailgaitin. as two friends and i are getting ready to go in, an officer of the law spots my friend chucking a cup. consequently we were taken in and screwed pretty bad. they took our tickets and wrote us up (2 citations for me), while feeding off power trips the whole time. they were actually enjoying the fact that we were having a miserable time. oh well, we were pretty upset but we would refuse to yield. we got ourselves lawn seats from some nice people in the lot and headed in determined not to miss our favorite band in the world. i did it was not the best of openers, it may have actually been the worst i've ever had, but next was pig! that lifted me up from the bottom. "love, love, what more is there, cause we, need, the light of love in here," indeed. you never know, always fun groovin to that crazy time signature! one sweet world, the sun's embrace started too loosen during this number and the atmosphere was perfect. this started off an amazing string of songs. bartender was just awesome, the whole band was really turnin it out. drive in drive out, aka dido, was full of energy... which was followed by... wow... words can't explaint he pure joy.... DANCING NANCIES!!!!!! i was beyond elated, i was in heavan! the band must've been practicing this one cause it was so damn on! the boyd solo sections got the crowd into a frenzy... as nancies started to fade away i prayed hard for warehouse... and what do you know... right into WAREHOUSE!!!!! just like red rocks, it was magical. next the band played a sweet jammed out version of loving wings where leroi took a solo, and then into wayg. a groovin kit kat jam was next. if that rolling stone reviewer was there i would've been inspired to punch him in the face. "drummer carter beauford is better at painting with percussion than at rocking a groove,"-greg kot??? real piece of work, lets just say carter can rock a bad ass groove and way more. digging a ditch was quite beautiful, eerie, but so beautiful. next dave put on the twelve and played my fav song from bs, GREY STREET! when dave belted out the lines "she could change everything about her, using colors bold an bright," i indeed got the chills down my spine, like the kind you have after you take a good leak multiplied by 10. the band stepped off and dave came back to do some solo stuff. he teased some of blue water which was so cool, then played an overwhelmingly powerful gravedigger. it's amazing to hear the emotion just pour out of one man and his guitar, this has become my favorite dave solo number. next dave strapped on the bari, and i prepared for a bad ass what u r. i was not dissapointed. they started off with a long trippy intro which built up the song very well. that last verse, "get down on your knees motherf*cker!!!" just makes that song incredible. well that's it for me this tour, thank you dmb!!! peace yall!

WOW!!! Not even having my car crap out in the parking lot could ruin my energy high from this show. NANCIES INTO WAREHOUSE...yes you heard it right folks anyone that cant feel the love for that one. When the first song was I did it I was worried. Pig calmed my worries..you never know and captian are great songs even if some people didnt think so. i love them. Ok they play WTWE a lot but i love one, cause when the world ends who doesnt want to be burning one down. Fool to think...NO NOT AGAIN?? didnt you learn at va beach. Oh but Wait OSW perfect we are back on track...a good show then went into the stratisphere (sp?) BArtender, great wails perfect, drive in drive out, more energy, the crowd is going and then we hear it...NANCIES finally...but wait theres more warehouse...the crowd is going nuts...we all need a cig break and a rest for a min and in come loving wings (which by the way has great potential. Where are you going - still good but working its way to being played out (avoid the urge) KKJ wow great improve got me going cant wait to hear it again on the tape from the show. DAD wow i love this song, and grey street again shows the power of the new stuff (even to the long time fans) ok the encore was at the least not what i was expecting, great tease, gravedigger is good, (ants or two step would have been really good) but wow what you are was sooo on....perfect bliss...great show...wish my car had decided to continue to work (dave or bust I DID BOTH)

drove 4 1/2 hours down for this show from jersey, and i ahve to say, besides Nancies into Warehouse, which was just absolutley amazing, show was very dissapointing, at least where i was sitting. i had great seats tonight. under the pavillon, section 202, second row right in back of the VIP seats, bascially dead center. only problem is, i sat next to the WORLDS BIGGEST MOST OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLE. some drunk fuck with his drunk girl, who was actually really hot, but a bitch, so fuck her too. he was so damn annoying, annoying everyone around him. ucckkkk why why why dude??? anyways, when Dave came out, seemed high at first, but i think he was drunk. he messed up a lot on the guitar, and his voice just wasnt there. not to mention, again besides a few songs; nancies, warehouse, dido, etc; the setlist was not what i really wanted. i did it opener just is wrong. too many everyday songs, not enough old songs. played a lot of new stuff which isnt really that bad, but with combination of everyday, would of been nice to hear some more crash songs. ah well, still worth the trip just to hear nancies. i just would've gone for that song. so great to see them take that off the shelf. next time will be better for sure...

WOW! This was my third show of the summer after seeing them in Detroit and Chicago and the band was excellent. First a funny note, Los Amigos was terrible, with the exception of the coochie song when the lead singer stepped up to the mic and said "you know, coochie like down there." Anyways, glad to hear I Did It first cause that got it out of the way, but a decent version and start to a good night. Soooo happy to hear Pig next, what a song and the boys didnt disappoint. You never know came next, the thrid time ive heard it and it was good again, I think a lot of people are going to fall in love with this song as it wears on them. Then came Captain, awesome!!!! Ive wanted to hear this song and Daves voice was great. When the World Ends was normal as always, and I could do without it. Dave loves it though, so if it makes him happy, its good enough for us. Then it was the first time ive heard Fool to Think and it was pretty good, but two everyday songs in a row is tough to pull off, i think most would agree. Then the boys played one of my favorite live songs, One Sweet World. I love this song live!!! The intro was normal and good, and it seemed longer than usual and they really jammed out, what a version. This is where Dave finally picked up his twostep, and the crowd responded. This is where the energy level really picked up. People were singing all the words and finally dancing. Then came a 13 minute version of Bartender. Great solos by some of the boys, and Daves emotion was unparalleled in his voice. Drive in Drive out was awesome!!!! What a song, Dave totally changed the lyrics up throughout the song and used different inflection in the chorus, amazing. Then came the best part of the night, NANCIES. When Dave stepped to the mic and said 'Could I have bee . . .' the crowd went crazy. The band was really clicking now. Dave and Boyd played for about a minute within a foot of each other with so much emotion. Then, something Ive never seen, they both went up to Carter and played with him. This song was just ridiculous, and I could have left happy at this point. But then my favorite song, Warehouse. Just perfect thats all I can say, everyone was dancing and singing and the solos were great. Ok, now i understand the boys needed a break, but Loving Wings followed by Whewe are you Going is not good, too slow. Kit Kat Jam was great with words and the band picked it up again. But then back down with Diggin a Ditch, even though it was good i was hoping they would pick it up again to end the show. The last song grey street was awesome, but Dave had a different guitar in his hand first. It seemed like he talked to someone in the first 4 rows, then switched guitars and played grey street. I wonder what he was going to play first? The encore was ok in my opinion, because two step, ants, watchtower, had not been played, and new songs had been back to back to back. What you are is not a closer, even though he played it powerfully. A great show, Dave seemed happy to be home, and talked a lot more than Im used to throughout the show. Awesome concert, sad to say its prolly the last this year for me, hope to see you all next year on the possible Busted Stuff Tour.

This was my fourth DMB concert, and I'm sorry to say that for me the other concerts that I have been to were better than this one. I loved the show, and I really like a lot of their new songs, but the newer songs just don't get the show and the crowd going like some of the old songs do. I love One Sweet World, Warehouse, Grey Street, and a bunch of the songs that they played, but they don't have the same effect that Two Step, #41, Ants Marching etc. do. If they would have thrown one or two of those in the set I think the show would've really taken off. Still, DMB puts on a great concert no matter what.

wow... well this was only my second DMB show. the first being that fiasco at RFK last summer. despite gettin stuck in traffic and missing the first four songs, this show rocked. all the guys had loads of energy. Boyd's solo during nancies totally electrified the crowd. It was a bit different setlist, but awesome nonetheless. The closer before the encore was my favorite of the new CD, grey street. what you are made an awesome end. overall, a great night. I hope they come back soon!

This was my 10th show and definitely one of the best shows I've seen. The set list was great and I loved "Gravedigger." I don't think "I Did It" was the best opener and "Loving Wings" needs to go, but overall a terrific DMB performance. I loved hearing "Warehouse" too since I hadn't heard that in a while. "You Never Know" was wonderful and is my favorite song on "Busted Stuff." It was also great to hear words to "Kit Kat Jam." The show was enjoyable except for 2 things- people who talk on cell phones during the concert (honestly, who do you need to talk to in the middle of "Bartender"?!) and fans who are obnoxious and talk over top of the music. You know, I didn't spend $40+ to hear you talk!! Some 'fans' are really starting to piss me off and I'm wondering why they're even there. I'm glad people are saying that they don't want to come to DMB shows anymore b/c they think that the shows 'suck.' Good, that means a better chance for me to get tickets. None of his shows suck...some are better than others, granted, but I'd rather listen to Dave having a bad night than any other band on a good night. People should just shut up, turn off their damn phones, dance, and enjoy the music.

awsome show, dave and the boys rawked the house no jams but hey, im no greedy little pig. it was one of the best shows ive ever been to. and that was my first time hearing nancies, one sweet world, ynk, gravedigger, and loving wings live, so i had a good time. even though the setlist wasnt what i expected i still loved ever second of it. all was good... until the car wouldnt start and we had to wait for a few hours for AAA and a ride but hey its all good i wasnt gonna let anything get me down after a show like that. im thankful for nice people like mr.ewing from northern PA for trying to help. i love katie, i just wish she was there w/me but hey maybe next time.

Of the 3 shows i've been to, Nissan Pavillion was my favorite. Any time Leroi plays good solos, i'm thrilled and last night, he was ON! on OSW, warehouse, you never know, fool to think, bartender (piccolo!), and loving wings (soprano sax!), he jammed and played some the best solos i've ever heard him play. what can i say about nancies? this is one of my all-time favorites and to hear it live was incredible; especially since boyd played amazing solos and they went right into warehouse, something i'd only heard on the red rocks cd prior to last night. both were so great to hear. i also heard some versions of songs that were the best i had ever heard them before. bartender was asounding with leroi ending and butch's unreal solo. OSW was so good to hear, especially beneath the stars at beautiful nissan pavillion, that along with you never know were the best i'd ever heard of those songs too. the new captain was really really good live, and grey street had soooo much energy. i think the place was shaking when he sang his long, "to greyyyyyyyy yeahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!" i got to hear a little blue water which was a first, and really exciting, and then gravedigger, which is goign to be a fan favorite before it is all said and done. although i was hoping for a finale like watchtower or 41, his version of what you are, with the long intro, and dave dropping all these f bombs at the end was so tight, you could feel the energy all over the ampitheatre. it was definitely a concert to remember and to all you traders out there, make sure you get this one, it's absolutely a classic

After tonight's show I am wondering just one thing...why must I have to listen to all these negative comments about Dave and how he doesn't play any of his "good stuff" anymore. I heard too many fans whining in dissapointment saying the same old "geeze I only knew like 3 or 4 of those songs" as they walked out of the gates. Ok his first 4 albums were great, but with the exception of a few weak songs from Everyday, his new stuff is just as good concert material as his old. Tonight's show was awesome, end of story. After a questionable opener with "I did it", we all knew that the show could only get better, and it did. "Dancing Nancies" into "Warehouse" was spectacular while "You never know" and "when the world ends" kept the crowd alive. A loud and wild version of Bartender really made my night...but my highlight of the night was the encore...Gravedigger is a great encore song I don't care what anybody says. And could he end a concert any better by throwing out a "pray down on your eyes motherf@$#^"...Now I almost hit a guy at a gas station who was saying that tonights show sucks and Dave is a sellout...I am sorry but Dave shows do not get much better than this.

From the looks of the reviews, I'm the only one that seems to represent the over 5 thousand fans that missed over 50% of the show last night at Nissan pavilion in DC because of traffic and lack of effort on the part of nissian management. Just so we're clear, 5 thousand people times the average $40 ticket price represents 200K in paid revenue. Simply put, doesn't the band have any mechanism in place to catch word of the venue problems that are going on outside? What happened was a car accident on the highway, everyone diverted, no cops directing traffic, nobody really caring at all. That's not the bands fault, but not knowing about it is. Can't the band ask someone through nancies.org to pass a cell phone message forward or something? Seriously folks, 5 thousand people are a light estimate; it might have been more like 7 or 8 thousand (that's like 300K in paid revenue). I won't even touch the two hours it took to leave the place. I bring this up because what happened was when the 5 thousand folks get to the show over an hour and a half late they brought a "disgruntled vibe" with them that fell right on the band and the band shouldn't have to shoulder that. 200K worth of paying customers miles from the venue an hour into the show and dreaming is just bad policy. While it's the venues fault no doubt, the band should have a way to find out what the delay is, and insist on not going on until the gang is "relatively" in the house. The band failed at that tonight, I have a hunch it wasn't the first time. That's dangerous ground to be treading on in my opinion. As for the songs, drive in/drive out was ironic given me comments above, nancies/warehouse was tight and grey street really was strong. Loving wings was hard to hear. Gravedigger and the new freaky styli "what you are" were right on the money. I can't tell you how much I was looking forward to this show and how much the bands music means to me..

Im from NJ and my best friend and I decided to hit the VA show... We spent a night in C-ville, then headed back north to Bristow for the show... now, this was my 7th show on this tour, and although I heard alot of the same songs Ive been hearing... THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING. Sure, IDI wasnt the best opener... but c'mon... NANCIES! I was waiting for that all tour. When I first heard the opening chords, I was like "tease"... and then Dave opened his mouth. OSW was perfect. Dont Burn the Pig... Loving Wings... Grave Digger... :o) Overall, the show was one of the best Ive seen in a while... The Nissan Pavillian on the otherhand, SUCKS. It took us 2 hours to get out of the parking lot.

After reading all other reviews and the setlist i am so close to crying!!! Unfortunately for me and three of my friends we got caught in the traffic from the big accident near nissan and missed more than half the show. As we were sitting bumper to bumper on wellington road we rolled down our windows to hear the amazing riffs of Dancing Nancies...I haven't heard this live since the '99 Giants Stadium show. We trekked through the parking lot hearing WAREHOUSE, and I couldn't decide if I was happy that he was playing one of my favorite live songs, or pissed becuase i was trudging through gravel while everyone inside was getting to watch dave and boyd and carter and stefan jam. finally made it to the end of the lawn seats as he began WAYG...great song, but i was so in the mood to hear some upbeat older stuff (especially after being teased by nancies and warehouse.) When Grey Street came on my mood was definitely brightened. I LOVE that song (although i am partial to the lilywhite lyrics). A little disappointed to hear gravedigger and what you are...but even more so to find out he played Pig and One Sweet World. Well I hope all of you who missed the accident traffic enjoyed the show...it sounds like it was great.

Alright. I do not usually write setlist reviews but this one I have to put this one on paper for the rest of you to enjoy. Coming all the way from Jersey to see this show, I was hoping for someting phenomanal. And I got it. Opener, could do with out did not think that the night was gonna go my way but I gave them time to get into the grove and then they did. Pig was great as usual and always a pleasure to hear. YKN- had about a one minute intro and is definately getting better every time I hear it. Then comes Captain- I heard this for the first time at Camden and it sounded alot better tongiht with some different lyrics from what I heard. WTWE- Same as usual and would have sparked a bowl but didn't have any goods to smoke. Fool- getting used to it, I will give it some more time. While I am sitting here thinking it was going to be a night for the "Everday" fans, the concert took a turn for the better. OSW- Great intro like usual and always like to hear this, liked the Scat outro. Then One of the sound guys who we were sitting next to had a setlist in his possesion. I had my girlfriend go and get a look at the setlist because I was itching for a full cig because the employees were like hawks watching us. She did her magic and saw the first half of the setlist and let me know that Bartender was next then DIDO. Bartender is always a favorite- It definatly got the true fans going. Then DIDO- Different lyrics each time I hear it and this time I remember a part like... I got this trip, trip, trip, trip, in my head... It was genuinely a great song. Now by this time most of the "Everydayers" were sitting down asking where TSB was and then it came. Was it a Tease? I went nutz at this part, yelling Nancies, Nancies... Then it Was.... Full Band Version of it. Georgeous. Chills went down my back. Singing word for word. Then when it started winding down I was jumping up and yealling at the top of my lungs WAREHOUSE> and it came. This is the point I dropped a load in my pants and went absolutley crazy. I think I broke a blood vessel in my head when I was chanting at the stop-time intro. I did not care what the concert would bring after this point but they did finish stong. After Warehouse the band was hugging and it was just like something fabulous happened. They were all smiling. I have pics and hope they come out. Loving Wings--->WAYG, figured this after a performance like that. KKJ- 3rd time hearing gets better and better. DAD- Nice to hear. Then there was like a five minute pause Dave came out with the six-string and went to the Mic, turned back around took off the six string and grabbed the 12-string. So I knew what was coming- Grey Street- Seemed short but definately got the crowd going. There it was, Now for the encore- BWBF- CrAzY- All of the "Everdayers have now left and I went balistic when I heard this. THought he was gonna play it fully again like in 00, but it was only a tease. If you do get a tape of this concert I will be the one that yelled "BLUE WATER" when everybody was quiet. Gravedigger- I am definately growing on this song. Then it was time for the last song of the night. After about a five minute intro to WYA- which sounded like Floydish for a little bit and on the screen reminded me of Floyd a little bit. GReat. AS this song wsa going on some chick who is stupid got the set list from the camera guy and when I looked at it I realized why before the encore there was a little confusion with the six string and then getting the 12-string. THey were supposed to play Rapunzel. So there it is. My 4 hour drive to the last and best concert I Have been to this summer. See you next time around. PEace

I knew that the boys were gonna make the show at Nissan special. The Nissan shows are always amazing, but coming into this show I knew the band was ready to treat their VA fans to something wonderful. I was right. Anyone at this show is to consider themselves lucky. Very lucky. I was happy I got to spend the evening with my brother - a first time DMB-goer, and, from the 7th row nontheless (thanks to a great friend for amazing seats). The setlist was unreal, and the energy from the band and the crowd was amazing. People who have said that the band has lost the magic are wrong. Very, very wrong. I did it...eh, it was out of the way early. Pig - finally. The band didn't play it in Cleveland earlier this spring so I was hoping for it tongiht. Amazing. I was in tears. You Never Know - just incredible. Moved me to tears again. The best versions of Bartender and Dancing Nancies I have ever heard - live or from recorded shows. Boyd tore it up. Warehouse - YEAH! One Sweet World was amazing. Grey Street - words cannot describe. I broke down in tears once again. Blue Water...SAY WHAT?!?! So cool! Just a tease, I know, but still cool to hear live. Gravedigger - great song! I liked it a lot! What You Are - look out Watchtower and Ants, I think you have another competitor in the "best encore" category. It was unbelieveable. That song has improved so much. The whole show was unreal. The parking sucked, but what can ya do. That's why there are frisbee's. Congrats to my buddy Sean for snagging one of Carter's sticks! Bad-ass dude! DMB, thanks for making 7.31.02 so memorable. Words cannot describe it. It was very special.

I think that this show really symbolized the disintegration of the Dave Matthews Band. While I stood there and listened to the music I couldn't believe that people were actually cheering. Apparently these fans had only recently jumped on the boat or their were piss drunk. The whole band seems to have lost the energy that they used to have as well as the song writing abilities. If there are any survivors left from the glory days who are trying to decide whether or not to drag yourself to another Dave Matthews show this summer, don't! You have the power to choose. Take hold of your life! I didn't hear one good jam this entire show and even when they try to jam, it seems that even their improvisations are limited by a certain format. It all sounds the same. It's pretty sad because there are a lot of good memories I associate with the songs that this band has put together. Now it's pretty hard to keep them from being tainted by some different band that is only a cruel mockery of what used to be and what could have been.

I thought I would write about this show since it's my last of my nine this summer, barring something completely spontaneous - and ya never know. I had a great time, and sometimes you can do that without seeing the best show set list-wise of all-time. That said, seeing Dancing Nancies for the first time in my 18th show (since fall 2000) was a completely soul-shaking experience. I've always said one of the reasons I go to Dave shows with great frequency to see something other people don't. Seeing the band play Nancies together for the first time in a while, and then some Blue Water into Gravedigger -- that's what I'm talking about. I had chills throughout Nancies and through Warehouse. I told my friends in 102 that we should just leave then. Turns out, Blue Water aside, I was right. I don't understand the emotional twists the set will take. You go from that obvious high point to Loving Wings and WAYG? I was still humming the outro to Nancies through the rest of the rather slow and anticlimactic set. Endings and complaining aside, I will never forget seeing Nsncies. I will never forget this time in my life either. Raleigh -- I saw Seek Up for the first time -- and Camden night 3 -- had my best seats (10th row) -- were the best shows I saw this year. People whine and complain about what they did or didn't hear. And yes, I would like to see Say Goodbye more than anything, but I have to tell you, though, that there is no greater feeling to me than when you are at a show and realize the bliss of the world around you. When you connect with the music and those who bring it to you. When you let go of all the strife and pain and everything else life can bring you. When you lose yourself in the sticky night air and find something greater than you'll ever know or comprehend. This is the way I felt during the Nancies --> Warehouse ... this is the way I'll always feel when I think back on my time on the road with Dave. God bless guys.

well, this show was very mellow. my 4th (and last unless there is a short winter tour) of the year, 8th overall. a great mood and a great feeling just to be there. first off i want to thank a good friend for hooking me up with a free ticket for the show. all i had to do was drive. after being in the car for 7 hours, we got to the venue, caught prolly the last 30 or so minutes of Los Amigos Invisibles, and i literally felt like i was melting. we grabbed some lawn seats about right in the middle of the lawn, perfect seats to be able to see the big screens and i could see the stage just fine. the sun sets, i swear it drops 15 degrees. the band comes out...here is my experience: I DID IT: pretty ordinary, i knew that songs from Everyday would be played tonight. surprised this was the opener though.DON'T BURN THE PIG: sweet ass song. i seemed to be the only one in our section of the lawn that knew this song and everyone else seemed to want to use this song for an herbage break.YOU NEVER KNOW: was hoping to get this for the opener but 3rd is fine with me. i thought the sound sucked for this song tho. i could barely hear the words. again, i think i was the only one that knew the words.CAPTAIN: had no clue i would get this song. haven't really listened to it much on the cd. but hearing it live, blew me away. others around me took another herbage break.WHEN THE WORLD ENDS: always a pleasure hearing this song live. the crowd around me took another herabge break for "when the world ends...we'll be burning one..........."FOOL TO THINK: i liek this song from Everyday. i think its catchy and got the crowd moving. least in my section. could have been all the herbage going around tho.ONE SWEET WORLD: this song never disappoints live. by this time, a guy behind me had started complaining about the song selection saying that "dave sucks and hasn't played anything worth a damn" needless to say, i cut the guy a look and i didn't hear him complain for the rest of the night. all he could say afterwards was "dave's gonna blow it up"BARTENDER:great, great, great song. lil bummed it didn't have the BEF leadin or the GIG outro. but there is no room to complain about the version we all got.DRIVE IN DRIVE OUT: to my knowledge, first time hearing it live. dave changing the lyrics up had me all sorts of confused, so i quit singing and kept on dancing.DANCING NANCIES: OMG!!!! FULL BAND!!! i can barely speak on this song, mainly cuz i was no longer at nissan. everyone there was lifted to a planet of DMB i do believe. lawn seats: "LOOK UP INTO THE SKY....AND OPEN WIDE" needless to say, my entire body went numb throughout this entire song...song has so much meaning to me, especially since i am 23. i could not get the smile off my face..and i just continued to look up.....thought about things in my life and how much we don't appreciate them all the time, ie: friends, my friend april in charlotte i had not seen in 5 yrs until the charlotte show, my friend marcela i talk to online (my dave buddy), the friends i was with, everyone around me, wondering if everyone felt teh same way i did at that certain moment...the entire placed was rocking by this point. and this led into =>WAREHOUSE: OMG!! possibly the best version i have ever heard. i was wanting to hear this as the opener, but the placement.....i could not have asked for more. this was my friend's first time hearing it live. the whole ride up to nissan, i had been laying out setlists and i believe this song, along with DN, was in everyone of themLOVING WINGS:sounded a little bettert han it did in charlotte.WHERE ARE YOU GOING: moving right alongKIT KAT JAM: out of no where. i slapped myself for giving my sister my original LWS cd. i have no clue what the lyrics say. sweet song thoDIGGIN A DITCH: first time hearing this live to i believe. sweet version starting off solo, then full band, then solo, then full band, then ending soloGREY STREET: was wanting "tripping billies" but instead got prolly the best version of this song i have ever seen live. good ending to an already nice set------------Encore--------------BLUE WATER (tease):OMG!!! AGAIN!!!! heard it in charlotte, have played the song almost non-stop since. my friend looked at me and was like..."what is this?" so i was like..."uhm..."and i lost all feeling in my body...and finally uttered out somehow "BLUE WATER!!!!" which no sooner had i said that it went intoGRAVEDIGGER: omg...clear as water tonight folks! the best version i have heard. everyone around me took one last pot break for this song for they had no clue what it was. they need to find a way to play this as an intro/outro to DAD or leadit right into the song i was cheering for "LIOG"..it just makes sense to have those together. i can only dream. but for what i was about to hear, blew me away==>WHAT YOU ARE: omg. i went numb for the last time during this intro. it was BADASS. bottom line. ppl around me were like...."this is watchtower!!" course i had to set tehm straight by telling them it was WYA which got a quick reply "huh?" and i was liek..."what you are, its off of everyday, its HALLOWEEN 2002" so they shutup and passed their last j. during the intro to this song, dave sang some words, maybe an entire song. i had a hard tiome hearing them, but if anyone knows what song it was, PLEASE EMAIL ME AND TELL ME. the intro was VERY VERY pink floydish and this song was by far the best version of it i have heard. i had chills through its entirety. i walked out of the venue a happy fan and feeling like my day was complete, but knowing i had a 2 hr drive back to my sister's house for the night. so we get out to the parking lot, what do i see? PURE HELL! omg what a confusion it was. we waited in the parking lot by my car for 2 hours!!! finally security came by and made us pack up what lil tailgating we were doing and hit the highway. needless to say, i got lost trying to find 66, then the 7-11 we hit up had been bushwhacked by the DMB fans after the show. i bet they only had 12 big bags of chips left. anyways, to everyone i met, glad you all had a blast. the girl from baltimore i gave the beer to, sorry it was dirty, we had been tossing them around in the parking lot. see yawl next year!

Here's my story and I'm stickin' to it....DIDO rocked my world, and if this doesnt prove that Carter is God, then what does? Then the official return of Nancies, holy shit was this amazing. Boyd and Dave facing off and jamming, it was so classic. Time to slow it down right? WRONG! Nancies then goes into Warehouse. I was confused, am I at Red Rocks or in Virginia? At this point it didn't matter. Gravedigger, damn this is so good. I heard it first at MSG and boy has this song come a looooooooooong way. The "Ring around the Rosey" in it makes it so deep. Then to top it all off, What You Are to close. So fucken powerful. Hey did any of you think you'd see the day when he would open and close with the electric? No complaints here though, DMB is what life is all about. Now it's time to go find the DEER by the CREEK.

This was my 10th show. It was the best show i have seen all summer. The band was playing with a lot of energy. Don't burn the Pig was just great. I love hearing that song live. It only got better after that. Dancing Nancies into Warehouse. Just like Red Rocks. It was the most incredible thing i have heard all summer. It blew me away. I was suprised when the band closed the set with Grey Street. But i love that song and they played it great. I loved when Dave teased Blue Water before Gravedigger. I was hoping to hear the whole song, but i'll take what i can get. Gravedigger is a great song. It gets better each time i hear it. Then the band closed the show with What you Are. I called it. When i saw Dave pick up the electric i knew it was What You Are. The into to this song was very similar to how they played it in Hartford on Friday. The whole show was great. It ended on a sour note. Getting back to my car and my car not starting. Oh well thanks to the guy from PA for trying to help us start it!

Not sure why everyone is raving about this show? Of the 20 DMB shows that I have attended this one has to be my least favorite. Other than the rarity (Nancies->Warehouse) there were no real treats or standouts at this show. OSW and DIDO were nice to hear since the rest of the show was comprised of all new material. Between BS and ED we got 11 songs plus Loving Wings and Gravedigger. I am not going to knock Gravedigger but I am going to say that the flow to this show was horrible. I Did It as the opener...could it get any worse? Also, WTWE and Fool to Think were boring. This show did not have any intensity. Usually DMB shows at Nissan rock but this one was a let down to say the least. What happened to these albums: UTTAD, Crash, BTCS? I sure hope next time I see them the setlist is a little more varied. Of course I wanted to hear some of the classics (#41, Two Step, Watchtower, Ants, LIOG, BOWA, Crush) but hell, I would have loved to hear Crash, Stay, Tripping Billies, and even Satellite. I like not knowing what the guys are going to pull out but tonight I just wondered if the next song was going to come from BS or ED.

Wow this show was an incredible show. I don't know why so many people are dissing this one. But i have dreamed of having I DID IT as an opener. I think it is a high energy song that got the crowd moving, not just a good place for the song so it's out of the way. PIG was awesome. YNK and CAPTAIN are two wonderful songs that i never get tired of. WTWE is always great to hear live, i love to hear them all stop on a dime at the end. FOOL TO THINK was a shocking song for me. I had never heard it live, and it blew me away. OSW with a Won Suite Whirled Intro was amazing as the sun finished setting. Now this is where the night started getting amazing right here. BARTENDER, DIDO, DANCING NANCIES-->WAREHOUSE. These songs made me dance harder and faster then I had all night, along with thousands of others. LOVING WINGS, I've loved this song since i first heard it. I was upset to see everyone take a piss break during this song, but i was pleased to turn around and see thousand of lighters on the hill. WAYG good as always. KKJ was great. DAD made me pick up my "future wife" and dance with her, what a groovin song. GREY STREET was a very powerful closer, but one i knew would close the show. The encore threw me off, for a second i thought THE BEAUTY OF WYNONNA was being played, but it turned out to be a BWBF tease into GRAVEDIGGER, which is becoming one of my favorite dave songs. GD will be amazing someday with full band. WYA was a frickin great song to close with, he had a very powerful intro and also a "DOWN ON YOUR KNEES MOTHERFUCKER" outro. All in All that was an awesome show that i'll remember for a long time.

All in All that was an awesome show that i'll remember for a long time.

a lot of people seem to have loved this show, but i wasn't one of them. it was my third this year, and the weakest of the three. i mean it looked like it was going to be the best ever. after the nancies-->warehouse, which by the way was the most awesome jam ever!, the show went down hill. don't get me wrong i love the new cd, but you just can't end the show with 4 straight songs from it. grey street is definitely one of my favorites, but another song was needed following it. billies, ants, twostep, WWYS, etc. would have been awesome. i love gravedigger, and i like what you are, but not as a closer. it just doesn't get the crowd going like the older songs.
