Two words.. holy shit. just look at the setlist and you just wanna cream your pants. great Warehouse then they started Too Much with just the first few chords then faked everyone out by going into Ants. this is when I knew the show was gonna rock. Happy to see Butch back cause he tore it up after seek up and in LIOG and Two Step. Two Step was awesome. Butch, Dave, and Carter each took some killer solos. the encore was totally unexpected. The Stone blew me away, I love this song, and I crossed my fingers to go into DIDO and wasn't let down. Killer show and this makes up for last year's crappy set at hershey by a long shot.

This was my fourth dave show I have seen and I must say that this is probably the best one yet. Warehouse was a great way to start the night. And from there the night just got better. Warehouse,LIOG,SeekUp,TwoStep..you couldn't have asked for better jam songs then these, and boyd did not disappoint he was on fire as usual. I was also incredibly impressed by all the new material, Grey Street and Jtr blew me away. The only thing i missed was no Song That Jane Likes and no Watchtowers but hey we can't get everything we want.

If anyone attended last years hershey park show on 8/4/99 they may remember Horrid sound,Short, Mellow Setlist and A Terrible Crowd. THIS YEAR WAS DIFFERENT! This show Blew last years show out of the water as soon as dmb came on stage. Wow! what a show It was! 18 songs, Nearly 2 hours 40 minutes. Every song just kicked ass. Anyone that was there sure cant forget the first 15 seconds of too much then they went right into Ants.OH! Fake out! Im Loving Busted Stuff. They Just Jammed, Jammed Jammed tonight! The Busted Stuff/Seek Up/PNP--->Rapunzel performace was non-stop playing for over a half hour! It was great! They Jammed almost every song, Lie in our graves Jammed out, Seek Up Jammed out, Fukin Two step was off the hook Awesome! Freekin Unbeliveable Version. I could go on and on about this show. The Encore was Sweet as hell, no one saw The Stone Coming, then right into Drive in Drive out! Awesome Ending. The Security was Really coming down hard on the people clogging the Isles on the floor, one security had some dude in a headlock and almost rammed him into my gut. Well anyways all my dmb 2000 summer run is done! I went to 7/13 7/15/ 7/16 and Tonight and they all were special in there own ways, but tonight was that extra special boost and redemption that hershey needed after last years snoozer. Later Y'all I see yall again..No Doubt

A very normal looking setlist, and a downright sleeper of a show. After pulling out all the heavy stuff at Hershey last year (8.4.99), tonight's was so calm, it was eerie. First off, the venue. No traffic at all (show wasn't sold out... 2 whole sections of empty seats), and a really early beginning (due, I'm told, to Hershey's '11pm' curfew). The sound sucked. I was midway back on the field, 15 rows up, and could hardly hear the band. Conversations around me were easily enough to drown out any of the music. The little stack in the center was putting out only the very high-frequency sounds, like Dave's guitar, a little bit of the snare, and some of the violin notes. There was also something up with the video monitors, the stage right one and the mid-field one kept malfunctioning, and the stage left was so dim, I could barely see it. I didn't even notice the Warehouse opener until a few cycles into the stop-time. As Warehouse ended, I was thinking about the WH->Ants we'd seen before, but as they started Too Much, I thought "damn! No ASTB..," It was only 6 or 7 seconds of Too Much before Ants started with the sax. Speaking of, that was about the only sax note we heard all night. Did anyone bother turning Roi's mic on? Didn't even notice Roi and Boyd walk off the stage, so I didn't call Granny; it's a damn shame they never take this song out past the mystical 3:30 barrier. WWYS kicked up, people cheered, and then returned to not giving a damn about the show. This was now 4 (well.. 3.5) energy songs, and I found myself in the midst of a yawning bout. Me! Show number 7! Yawning during WWYS! After that, Dave strolled up to the mic, and not like I could hear anything, but I thought he said "One Eyed Fish." I flipped out, explained to my sister that this was a new song; and felt really dumb when they played Busted Stuff. It was only a minute into the song when I realized he must have said "She My Bitch." She My Bitch-One Eyed Fish.. back me up here. Dave/Ladies, no diff as far as the vocals go. Long sax intro, had a feeling it was Seek Up, but thought "not Seek, not now, 19,999 people are already asleep, don't put the WHOLE place to bed." Man behind me noticed the setlist I was keeping, and asked "what is the title of this piece?" Outro sounded like the beginnings to Linus and Lucy, it came out of Seek at 5.20.99, but alas, it got segued into the worthless Rapunzel. At least it reminded the crowd they came to a concert. Still waiting for a SMTS-ASTB-Too Much, even though it's very plain and standard, it would get the crowd back into it. Made 19,999 people happy with Crash, didn't get the energy it usually does at the end. Grey Street and Bartender got played nicely, and with energy, but crowd reaction varied between apathy and "let's crowdsurf!" LIOG was sweet, 14 minutes, had the Boyd building jam handed off to Butch a la 7.15.00, but slightly less good. After the song, Butch was announced as "our number 6." Grace, wonderful song, definately my favorite of the new group. JTR was less long than past versions, and had a really tight breakdown jam at the end. I'd been waiting for Two Step for a while, and the show closed with a great one, Butch was helping it along nicely, this one clocked in at something like 16 minutes. Off at 10.47, and stayed off for 4 minutes, which seemed risky, considering they were up against an 11:00 curfew. I was thinking they might do something like at Irvine 5.20.98, but they went off, and spent a while before coming back at 10:51. With only 9 minutes to spare, I was thinking Watchtower, since Grace->Billies was impossible. Instead we got Stone (which opened last year's Hershey), complete with Fools Rush In outro, which went into DIDO, a song I'd been waiting to hear (I totally forgot they put the two together). They wrapped up at 11:05, so I don't know about the curfew, if there was one. Anyway, from the parts that I could hear (great sound system, Hershey..), it was a very placid show, although it did pick up somewhat after Crash. Good mix of the albums, 2/2/4/2/6unr.

Hershey was UNREAL. Kicking off with an incredible Warehouse, I could tell it was gonna be a great night. Too Much tease into Ants had the crowd going!!!! Granny and WWYS were great, then came the first new song of the night, Busted Stuff. I didn't like this one until last night, but now I'm getting into it. Then came a quiet Seek Up, which was incredible. People need to learn to shut up and listen to that song, it's awesome. They played right into the LS intro into PNP--> Rapunzel. Pretty jammin version of Rapunzel, then a great version of Crash, complete with Dixie Chicken. Then came two new songs: Grey Street(completely ruined cause I got kicked in the head by a crowd surfer) and Bartender, which is just awesome in concert. Next came LIOG, which i missed most of cause I ended up in the air bodysurfing against my own free will. I got back just in time for Grace and JTR, both very very good. The best version of Two Step I've ever heard closed out the show. The encore was an awesome Stone-->DIDO. Carter Beauford on the drums! Carter Beauford on the drums! All in all, this year's Hershey show was so much better than last years. Highlights: Grey Street, Too Much tease--> Ants, JTR, Two Step, and DIDO. Lowlights: All them bodysurfers back in GA; never seen so many before. I even ended up as one of them. Oh well, for my last show on the tour, DMB proved they haven't lost a step.

Great show. In all honesty, one of the best that I have seen. No doubt about it though Dave got the crowd into the show right away by teasing Too Much and proceeding right into Ants. Hey, he even through me off. Boyd and Leroi seemed to have some of the best stuff, and neither of them was holding back. Both of them tore up solos in just about every song. Highlight of the night was LIOG when Boyd broke into about a 5 minute solo. They ended up completely stopping the song and then restarting it. Butch Taylor once again added to the show by just completing the overall sound. Plus Dave broke out some the hippest new dance styles!

Well, what can I say, this show was incredibly awesome! The setlist was amazing, and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Dave was glad to be back at "this big chocolate park." Warehouse was a great opener, I was not expecting this. They really fooled us by playing the first few bars of Too Much, then moving to Ants Marching. It was quite a surprise. Granny was of course a nice song to hear. LeRoi had a great solo on What Would You Say. Busted Stuff was an alright song, but having Seek Up after it was the mellow part of the concert. This must have been a 20+ minute long song! A lot of jamming. Skipping ahead, I was really happy to hear the new songs, like Grey Street, which was a real high point of the concert. Bartender sounded great with the whole band, everybody got into that. Lie In Our Graves was simply awesome, we really got into that. BUT, JTR really pumped me up. The outro was amazing. Two Step was a great closer. Having The Stone as an encore was ok, but I was not expecting them to play Drive In, Drive Out! Another high point of the show, really. The guys really did a great job, and their talent is amazing. I loved the jamming too!

This was a great show it was my first time and I loved it Warehouse-Was a surprise as an opener for me dave did some cool dances too much/ants--Ant's was a great one I was glad to hear it was funny how they tricked us by playing a few bars of too much Granny-This is another one of my favorites and they played it really good What Would You Say--This was an awesome song everyone was signing along it was really nice Busted Stuff--Is a good new song Seek Up---very very very jazzy with Leroi Moore Pantala Naga Pampa/Rupunzel--Great violin by Boyd he was the man of the show he did so good playing the violin and dave did good dances he is a better dancer then micheal jackson Crash--I knew they where going to play it it was so nice the crowd held up lighters dave played dixie chicken at the end it was a nice relaxing song Grey Street--another new kick ass song! Bartender--I loved the way Dave and tim played this song but the band's style is even better! Lie In Our Graves--Butch Taylor was going crazy on keyboards and they all did a jam in the middle of the song Grace Is Gone--Another good new song JTR--awesome song Two Step--I was so happy he played this song I love it and they played it wonderfully Encore---It took a while for them to get back on stage I couldn't feel my hands from clapping so hard Stone----Awesome song It sounds so nice live Drive in Drive Out----A good song to end the night I was hoping dave would play watchtower but he played a great 18 song setlist the lighting was great I wonder if next year can top this one??

A really good show -- one of the better ones out of the now 12 shows I've seen. Doesnt quite top the magic of Saratoga '98 (my personal fave), but there was lots to reccomend it. Like all great shows, it started with a fine rendition of Warehouse, though the jamming was kept fairly short, a trait common to most of the songs in the first half. The early part of the show was loaded with some oldies -- it was great to hear WWYS again, and Seek Up and Granny as well! The new songs were terrific, especially Grey Street and Grace Is Gone. The only problem was, having so many of the new ones piled together in the second half, some of the crowd lost some interest. Speaking of which, the crowd was pretty good tonight, even if some of the kids make you long for the pre-crash shows. The strangest thing about the show was how *quiet* it was. Apparently, the shows at Hersheypark are under pretty strict noise restrictions. though at times the sound was too soft, the crowd (at least outside of the pit -- didnt go there this time...) responded by being pretty low-key, and there was a good vibe in the air. Possibly one of the best Boyd solos on LIOG i've ever heard, and a very cool slow-jazz bit in the Two Step jam, with a terrific solo by Butch at the piano. It always amazes me how the band keeps growing musically over the years. Good vibes, good songs, a great band in good form -- what more can you ask for?

Wow. What an amazing show. I saw the show from 10th Row center, closest I have ever been to DMB. I wanted Seek Up first, Warehouse sounds too standard first. But a fake Too Much into Ants! That had everyone confused. Great nonetheless. The band seemed to be really tired, but they gave 110% anyway. Seek Up to PNP to Rapunzel was the best set of the show. Boyd went crazy during Rapunzel, had everyone screaming (including the girl right behind my right ear). Crash was another standard, but it slowed the crowd down after the best jam of the night. The new songs were good, Dave and the guys just have to add some jamming time into them. LIOG was perfect, Boyd and Butch took it away. Dave mentioned in the pause in LIOG that Butch was "number 6". I guess he is a full band member now. AND TO THE A**HOLES THAT WERE FIGHTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FLOOR DURING BARTENDER...CHILL OUT, IT WAS JUST A SEAT. Two Step rocked, Carter was jamming the whole time. The encore was great. The Stone was incredible and DIDO was just as amazing. I dont think DIDO is that great of a closer, but it was a great night anyway.

I have seen the band 10 times now, and this is the first time I can really say that I was in awe. The show completely blew me away. The band had so much energy (Dave was dancing, the band was giving each other high fives, some davespeak, etc.), and the crowd definitely fed off that and had lots of energy of its own. Warehouse was a great opener--always a good tune to get things started off. Then came a Too Much tease into Ants! Totally awesome--and the whole band was grinning from ear to ear, knowing it shocked the hell out of all of us--great jam as well. Granny and What Would You Say came next--pretty standard versions, but both with a lot of energy, especially during the "Love" and "Baby" parts of Granny--Dave was going nuts with his scitter scatter noises only he makes sound like music... Busted Stuff came next--a new one for me, and it was really beautiful; it's coming together nicely since the first time I heard it from a recording from Comerica Park, I believe. Then came the highlight of the night for me: Seek Up--an incredibly smooth, tight, and beautiful version. It was a little slowed down, but when Boyd went nuts on his solo, and Dave screamed wildly--I was totally blown away. LeRio's solo work in the beginning was well done, too. Butch, who came back for this show, and probably for the Hartford shows, had a nice improv jam into PNP-->Rapunzel, which had the whole stadium dancing; the strongest version I've ever experienced. Bartender was a great jam--I love the outro to that song. Lie In Our Graves was awesome as always--Boyd ripped that apart; he was dancing so much during his solo that he almost fell down in front of Carter--great energy, like I said. Grace Is Gone is a nice, sweet tune--great love song. JTR came next with that awesome, powerful outro--even the fans who hadn't heard this before really got into it--again, Dave was dancing like crazy. Then came Two Step--the most unbelievable version I've ever heard. Butch Taylor ("our number six," as Dave put it) is awesome. I've never really noticed his contribution--great soloist, and he's amazing at improv--really great contributor--I hope he really is "number 6." In this jam, even Dave had a solo--I hope he gets over his fear of them and we get more--Carter, as always, was incredible--the man is just incredible... The Stone was a suprise for an encore, but it was a great version--very powerful; Stefan definitely made his presence known. Dave ended The Stone and went right into Drive In Drive Out--a first for me, and it was Carter all the way. I read a lot of reviews, and I know everyone says that the show they just went to was "the best ever," but I can really say that this was the best for me. The band was looking at each other, seeing what someone was going to do--total improv. There was great jamming--very powerful and upbeat. Seek Up, my favorite song, was just unbelievable, and I'm glad I finally got to hear it. The band was tight, full of energy, and having as much fun as we were--and that makes for a great night.

This was my second concert of this summer and this was by far the best ever. Dave and the band were awesome coming out of the gate with Warehouse, then they thought they were clever with starting off with Too Much and then all of a sudden ending up in Ants Marching. I thought it was a good mix. Granny was a treat to listen to and Boyd was great as always on LIOG. And it was nice to hear Busted Stuff and Grey Street is still my most anticipated song on the new album. But I have to say the highlight of the show was Carter and his 3 minute jam on Two Step. This was by far the best Two Step I ever heard, Carter just went wild on the drums and Dave ended up playing the begaining of the song again. If you were at Hershey and you were in the Pit, you know you had the time of your life, with strangers just getting together as one big family. Also throwing each other around with the ever so daring crowd surfers. The crowd was very energetic and before the encore we had a fairly large Watchtower chant going on but Dave ended up with Drive In Drive Out and The Stone. Overall the best Dave show I have been at without Nancies or Satellite but it doesnt matter cause Carter was the name on everyones mind tonight. See ya next summer Dave.

This concert was amazing, Dave came out with a " i love coming back here to this chocolate park", the rare opening of Warehouse just blew the crowd away. When he satrted to play Too Much i went CRAZY! but he faked us out and went even in to a better song, Ants, for he had only played the first few notes of Too Much. GRANNY was so great, def. one of my fav. songs. and he went all out in the concert with it. SEEK UP, PNP-Rapunzel, ALL 3 in a row! definetly the highlight of the show for me, he went on with seek up for about 15 minutes and it was jsut perfect. Grace is Gone my fav. song off their new tracks next to JTR which was awesome too. TWO STEP was of course amazing with Boyds crazy solos. And the encore with an EXTREMELY amzing Stone performance and Drive, no disspointments here.

I just got back from the concert last night at Hershey and I must say it was probably the best hershey concert i have seen. this was the 4th dmb concert at hershey for me and it was amazing. I would say the highlights of the concert would have to be Seek Up, Lie in Our Graves, Grace is Gone, Grey Street, Two Step and Ants(mostly because of Dave's little flub one on part). But all in all a great show one of the best i have seen.

Ok. This was a great show in my opinion. I was kind of suprised with a Warehouse opener but it was still great. The second song was the best. It was a very interesting (Too Much) Tease into Ants. Every person their could not believe it. The rest of the set needs no explaining. All around great. The closer was a 20 minute Two Step that I dont think anyone was ready for. It was amazing. The encores were also very interesting as The Stone and DIDO. DIDO had this really powerful outro. The set was all around fun for everyone. The energy was their. The fans we're great.. Well most of them anyways and the band was having a great time. What more can you ask for at a DMB show. The night was filled with lots of fun, love and jams to please any kind of music lover. I think one of the best shows I have ever been to. This is the last of the year for me. It has been a great tour and I have had the chance to see so many great shows and meet so many new and fun people along the way. I had a blast and can't wait for the album to come out with a fall tour.

I arrived to Hershey at about 4:30. Had a few beers and headed over to the gate to hear the soundcheck. Due to the fact that it was raining all day the soundcheck was late and they were playing until 5:30. The soundcheck was THE STONE, GREY STREET, and an unbelievable DRUM SOLO (this would show up later in the show). Went back to the car and headed into the venue for the last few songs of the Getaway People. They seemed pretty good. Anyway, the DMB show started off with an uneventful WAREHOUSE. No one (in the band) was excited to be playing this song and I figured that it was going to be like all the other Hershey shows of the past. However, as soon as TOO MUCH started the band changed face all together and seemed into it. However, this was all a little trick. It turns out that ANTS MARCHING was the next song and they were just fooling around. The show continued to be amazing and when BUSTED STUFF started I was very, very happy. I have heard a different song at everyone of my 14 DMB concerts and tonight was no different. Next came SEEK UP and this song alone was 25 minutes long. That Carter drum solo from the soundcheck came as the outro to this song and it was intense. As always this led directly into RAPUNZEL. BARTENDER was as good as ever and GRACE IS GONE was a real treat. At first I didn't like this song too much, but it has grown on me and was amazing. TWO STEP was just about as good as it gets and they change the jam near every time they play it. THE STONE into DRIVE IN, DRIVE OUT was an awesome encore and this show made up for the last two years at Hershey that blew ass. Anyway, sorry that I didn't review every song of the night. It's just that so many are the same night in and night out that I wasn't going to write what I have written so many times before. Hightlights of the night were TOO MUCH --> ANTS MARHING, SEEK UP, and GRACE IS GONE. Lowlights of the night were WAREHOUSE, the dead parking lot, and an uneventful soundcheck.

To just call this show would be an understatement. Although I don't feel the set list beat out night one at Giants Stadium this year, and the energy level didn't top the second night at the Meadowlands, overall this performace by the boys was excellent, and well worth dealing with those crazy truckers on 78. This was my first smaller venue show since 1995, and even though the sound and the crowd weren't all they could have been, it still had that "intimate" feeling I had been hearing so much about. Dave seemed really into this one, even though I think he actually could have been drunk. He also seemed genuinely glad to be back in the "chocolate park," I was actually a little nervous about this show after reading about the horrible crowd at Hershey last year. Boyd seemed a lot more subdued (except for on "LIOG" of course) than a lot of other shows on this tour, as was Leroi, but sometimes it's better when no one member stands out. Some highlights of the show: I absolutely loved that "Too Much" tease that turned into "Ants." The crowd reaction to that is something that will be hard to forget and ranks near the top in my personal favorite DMB concert moments. Alot of great new stuff tonight; "Busted Stuff" is really solid now, you can tell because even though it's a slower new song, radio and hardcore fans alike really get into it. I was also a big fan of the way they really jammed out "Seek Up," and instead of going right into "Pantala Naga Pampa," they kept it slow and relaxed and played the best version of of the Intro to that aforementioned song I have ever heard. Like many people have been saying, "Lie In Our Graves" has to be the showstopper of the tour, and even though I had heard it twice already this summer, it was still incredible with Boyd's solo and that unique anticipation of the last verse. I had been waiting to hear "The Stone" live for a long time, and it lived up to expectations. That song is really incredible and ranks right up there with "I'll Back You Up," "Lover," and "Crash" when c onsidering DMB's most romantic pieces. You can always tell if a show has been great by looking at some low or slow points. I thought that for this show, "Granny" and "JTR" fit that bill, even though at most other shows this wouldn't be the case. I also had mixed feelings about "Drive In Drive Out" as the closer. Finally, I came away with the impression that we got a lot of music tonight. Maybe it was because of that 45 minutes of "Busted Stuff"-"Seek Up"-Intro, or the fact Dave said thanks for the evening pretty early in the set list. I thought the main set was being closed with "Lie In Our Graves," but after that they played three more quality songs. All in all a (MORE THAN) solid show.

Last nights show was full of so many good jams that were not present in the other show i attended. It was a night for jams, and when the band played a 25 min version of seek up i almost died. Other highlights were, dave forgeting the words to ants, and the stone during the encore. All in all it made the buffalo show i saw earlyer in the tour look like crap. The band was on, the jams were good, and the ladies were not there. Great show.

Ive been to quite a few DMB shows, but i have to say that this has been the best one that i have ever seen! Cant go wrong with Warehouse as an opener. Could have done without Ants so early in the show, but it got the crowd in the mood. Seek Up, AMAZING!! Ive been dying to hear that song all summer. Could have done without seeing Crash once again. Once again, Butch and Boyd put on an amazing LIOG. The 20 minute Two Step as a closer was great. Encores were unbelievable!! The Stone into DIDO, cant beat that. Hope the band can do it again next week at Saratoga!

This was by far the best DMB show there ever was in Hershey!! To start the show with Warehouse and then go into Ants really got the crowd going. Personally I was happier to see the Too Much tese go into Ants instead of actually going into Too Much. There was overall an excellent mix of songs from the album progression. The songs from the new album are as always unbeleivable. However I was a little dissapointed in the version of Bartender, there could have been more done with it (i.e. roll one up). Butch was unbelievable, and it was great to see him. Dave and Carter did some fine solo work, and as always Boyd was unstoppable. The encore was spectacular. Definitely a great way to end a great show!! Dave and the boys definitely exceeded expectations once again!

The Hershey show was my sixth. This was the best set I've seen yet... over two and a half hours long. Dave and Co gave us our moneys worth, even though the field seats were 50 bucks a pop. The Warehouse opening was unbelievable, glad they did this one. The Too Much tease was interesting... this faked everyone out. Ants is always great live. Boyd went crazy on this one... smiling. Granny was a treat, even though much of the crowd went to sleep. I could of done without WWYS... the only low of the set. Busted Stuff is a beautiful song. The crowd wasn't too interested in this one either. Rapunzel is a stapel at many shows and was great. Crash came next... they always play this song. Dave introduced Grey Street, probably my fav of the new stuff. I really like Bartender also. LIOG is always nice to hear. Grace is another great new song. Two Step was a great way to end the set... the girls liked this one. Carter was fabulous. For an encore everyone wanted Watchtower... not me. Glad we got Stone and DIDO. The Philly show was pretty special with the Lovely Ladies and all, but this Hershey set was excellent. Carter for President.

After a long drive from Long Island, Ny, we got to Hershey around 4:30. The lot was ok, not like the Giants Stadium shows, but no worries here. Dave did a soundcheck of The Stone, and Grey Street, which was cool because it got us hoping to hear the Stone. Getaway people were ok, it was hard to understand their lyrics at times, but they put on a good show. As for Dave, he had his moments tonight. Warehouse is always a great opener. Too Much Tease into Ants was great, the crowd was into that a lot. I felt bad for this guy who was taping the show 2 rows in front of me, cause the crowd around him was slamming his mike around, and i think he was getting mad. Granny disappointed me a little, it just wasnt that great tonight, they didn't feel into it. Busted Stuff was cool, 2nd time this tour hearing it. Seek up Rocked. Long solos, great transitions, Dave was on tonight. PNP -> Rapunzel is a great song, but ive seen it at almost every show. Good preformance, but its getting old. Crash into me was Killer. The crowd was into it, singing louder then dave the whole way through. Awesome. Bartender, Grey Street and JTR were cool too, but the crowd was silent, and they just talked amongst themselves. Dissappointing. Lie In was UNREAL. Had to be the best Preformance i have ever seen it live. Great solos, long and tight, great song. Grace is always great to hear, i hope its on the Album. Two Step closed, it had its moments, but otherwise nothing that impressive. As for the Encore, THE STONE, THE STONE, THE STONE !!! Great to hear. First time since Listener Supported that ive heard it live, nooch. Drice in was the Finale, and it was cool. Not as good as the Giants Stadium show, but it was great. See ya all at Hartford Saturday.

All I can say is...WOW. This show was incredible and the setlist was much better than Giants Stadium, whcih was the last show I saw. The band rocked, especially Boyd, who seemed to jam even longer and harder than usual. The crowd was pretty good too, considering the small amount of crowd-surfers, it was actually kind of comfortable in the general admission area, much unlike last year. But anyways, back to the actual set. Warehouse is always a great opener, and the Too much tease into Ants was awesome. I was just semi-disappointed at the end of Two Step that I hadn't gottento hear the Stone. But then there it was, as the first song of encore. The night was complete for me after that. This was amazing show, and even though I'm going tonight to Hartford, I don't know if it'll top this one.

This was my final show of the 2000 summer tour, and I must say it was quite a nice way to end. The rain only came before the show, which was good, and it stayed pretty cool all night. Onto the show - Getaway People put on a pretty cool set, though I was disappointed that Boyd didn't guest on any songs. DMB's set was just great. The Too Much tease was kinda cool, since I haven't heard the band do that yet. It was also pretty nice to hear Busted Stuff again. Dave made a comment about Butch being "number six" during, Lie In Our Graves, and I'm not sure if he's done that before but it was really nice to hear. My personal favorite of the night had to be Two Step. 22 minutes, amazing jam, Carter laughing, Dave chilling...just wonderful. Well, take it easy y'all...see ya this winter...

Sometimes great music is not well appreciated. This was the case with the people i talked to after this awesome show. Everyone around me wanted to hear nothing but "Crash" and "Satellite" and some even left the show while he played his new stuff. Anyway this show was awesome. He opened with "Warehouse" and I turned to my friend and said "This is going to be a memorable evening." And was it ever. From the tease of "Too Much" into "Ants Marching" to the best version of "Granny" I've ever heard to the 10 minute+ interlude between "JTR" and "Two Step" Dave and the boys were having alot of fun up there. Dave was dancin around the stage on a couple songs and even Boyd did a little fiddler's dance on a couple songs. Carter and Stefan kept great rythm, Leroi had some great solos, Dave showed alot of emotion in his lyrics when screaming in "Grey Street", Boyd ripped it up as usual, and finally Dave introduced Butch Taylor (keyboards) as #6, so I guess he's in. What chilled me the most was when after "Two Step" I turned to look around at the thousands of encore lighters in the air both on the floor and in the stands. It was a truely awesome sight to end a great show.

What else can I say, but the guys are awesome! Great way to start out a show with Warehouse. The tease and then blasting into Ants blew me away. I knew it was going to be a fabulous show. Dave and the boys did not let us down. They played a lot of songs that I didn't hear at the RFK show- Warehouse, Granny, What Would you Say, Seek Up, Rapunzel, and Grace is Gone. Seek Up was absolutely Phenomenal!! Boyd, LeRoi, Carter and Butch jammed all night! LIOG was my personal fav...Dave introduced Butch as the 6th member of the band during the break and then finished the song. WOW! With songs like Grey Street, Bartender, and JTR, thie new album sounds like it will be awesome. This was only my second show, and I can't wait for Va Beach!

This was my 3rd show this year and all i have to say is that the show was just ok. The band seemed to be pretty laid back and it just didn't seem loud enough. Started out great with warehouse which i didn't hear in the two other shows i saw this year. This i hear the intro to too much and then they unexpectedley went into Ants! It was great eventhough a few lyrical and verse messups. The rest of the show seem to drag along a little with seek up, though a great song, going on forever. I definitely like the new songs Grey Street and JTR but i could go without hearing Bartender and Grace is Gone ever again. Two Step was awesome and The Stone was unbelievable, I love that song. I was very dissapointed with a DIDO ender though. It's a good song but not for a ender.

Well this was my third show, one full of energy, and surprises. Warehouse was typical, and the too much-ants marching trick was incredible. The crowd loved being faked out. The new stuff was great. And i must say that it was the Boyd Tinsley Band laying during LIOG. I have never seen Boyd rock with that much energy. He gave the crowd a real treat. That is the kind of crazy dancing that I do when i get pumped up for a show, but he did it for 10 minutes straight. Only the tapes will tell. One for the record books in terms of length of jams.

This was my second show of the tour this summer and this by far was the best show ever. Even on the ride up to Hershey I was pumped. The Getaway people didn't exactly light my fire but when those lights went out the place went nuts. Right from the start with a great Warehouse got the crowd moving, and then the switch from Too Much to Ant's was great, no one saw it coming. It seems that every concert as well What would You say always is the kickstarter to get the crowd buzing. Hearing Granny and Busted Stuff for the second time this summer was sweet as well. In July the whole talk in Philly was how Boyd went nuts on LIOG well tonight he didn't put on quite the same jam but him and Dave went back and forth which got the crowd into it. I was telling everyone in the pit that Grey Street was going to be Dave's next best song, and when he was done I had a couple hundred beleivers. Crash was nice to here again but the name of the night tonite in Hershey was C-A-R-T-E-R!!! Just hearing Two Step again got me going but when Carter went off on a 3 minute jam of his own it was simply marvelous. It was hands down the greatest Two Step version I ever heard and I will never forget it. Before the encore we got a fairly decent Watchtower chant going but it didn't work but we were rewarded with The Stone and Drive in Drive Out which was a first for me. A lot of people have been complaining that some crowds havent been true Dave fans but tonight in Hershey it was pure love with 22,000 or however many were packed in there. I must give props to the crowd surfer chic that took a plunge on her head, she was going for a good ride and then PLOP! she went, that took some real balls. I left the stadium very happy as I just enjoyed the best Dave concert ever, the set was fantastic and the band seemed to make up for last years preformance.

All I can say is HOLY SH*T! This was my last shabang before i go away to college and what a show I got. Because of the smaller venue I believe that Dave and the boys were having more fun and playing what they wanted to. You could tell because Dave was walking around telling the band stuff before every song, so he must have been mixing up the setlist in some way or something. The crowd was awesome, and venue was great, the only problem was that it seemed like the back speakers wern't on or something because it was kinda quieter for a Dave concert. It seemed louder in Philly, but anywayss.....The Too Much Tease into Ants was awesome. Ants and WWYS have both evolved in many ways, and are still great songs to hear. Seek Up to PNP to Rapunzel in the middle of the set was different, but it took the crowd down and then brought them way up by the end of Rapunzel. Dave was having fun with the new stuff, with 4 of the last 6 songs new ones...5 new ones overall, so lots of new sound. Dave seems to wants Grey Street on the radio or something, because he always plays that at every concert, more than Crash lately. It's a good song, but it's almost like the band i trying way too hard to make it a good song. They need to quiet some of the intruments a bit and let someone take the lead rather than have the whole band trying to make it a hit. Also, usually Dave plays two big crowd pumping songs before the leaves, and the ended with just two step. While I admit JTR jammed at the end, it's still way too unknown to be the second to last song. Two Step was long and great, but it was the slow down speed up Listener Supported version, which in my opinion is grrrrreat, but not to end a set. The encore was different. I could see Drive In Drive Out coming, since they have finished with it a lot lately. but i was hoping for a 3 song encore since they were in a good moood tonight, but I think they were worn out after a lot fo long jams. The Stone was nice to finally hear in concert though finally, and as an encore made it even better. Great show, a couple of new concert songs for me (Seek Up, The Stone) but way too much new stuff, and not enough old to make up for it. Dave was awesome as always however, and I can't wait till he comes back.

wow, that is all you can say about this night. this is the second time i have seen dave open with warehouse, and it never lets me down. everyone looked as though they were enjoying the show. dave, boyd, carter they all had very sweet solos. they jamed seek up for 24 minutes, more then i could have asked. grace is gone, baretender, jtr, grey street, all the new songs are just as good as the old. i have seen dave five times now. and this might have been the best one yet. this made up for dave's weak show last year.

Wow...what a great show. This is my second show of the Summer Tour, and while not as good as RFK, it was very close. They opened up with Wharehouse, which was very good to hear. The Too Much/Ants tease was awesome, something new. Happy to hear Granny and Seek Up, becuase they aren't being played as much. My highlights were Rapunzel, Lie in Our Graves, and Two Step. Oh, and did anyone else hear Leroi playing the intro to Wise Men Say, in the outro of the Stone? Just thought I'd ask.

Without out a doubt the best Dave Concert I have ever been too! Warehouse was an incredible way to start. Boyd was amazing and the whole band was all about dancing the whole night. Butch Taylor got introduced as #6. On WWYS the whole band was singing along which is something i never heard before. Grey Street was awesome as usual and with new lyrics as usual. BUT...Two Step stole the show and I was so shocked they played it so late in the night, Dave had a lot more guitar on this version and it was clocked at just over 22 minutes. They had a curfew of 11 o'clock, but it didn't matter cause Dave still came out and to everyones surprise played THE STONE and DIDO as encores!! I have to say thanks to my dearest friend in the world Justin for taking me to the concert! and a Shout out to my new friends SHIPPENSBURG LAX (Chris and Eric)!!

To just call this show solid would be an understatement. Although I don't feel the set list beat out night one at Giants Stadium this year, and the energy level didn't top what I saw the second night in the Meadowlands, overall this performance by the boys was excellent, and well worth dealing with those crazy truckers on 78. This was my first smaller venue show since '95, and even though the sound and the crowd weren't all they could have been, it still had that "intimate" feeling I had been hearing so much about. Dave seemed really into this one, even though he actually could have been drunk. He also seemed to genuinely glad to be back in the "chocolate park," I was actually a little nervous about this show after reading about the horrible crowd at Hershey last year. Boyd seemed a lot more subdued (except for on LIOG of course) than a lot of other shows on this tour, as was Leroi, but sometimes it's better when no one member stands out. Some highlights of the show: I absolutely loved that Too Much tease that turned into Ants. The crowd reaction to that was something that will be hard to forget. Busted Stuff is really solid now, you can tell because even though it's a slow new song, radio and hardcore fans alike really get into it. I also liked the way they jammed out Seek Up, then instead of going right into Pantala Naga Pampa, they kept it mellow with the best version of the Intro to it I've ever heard. Like many have been saying Lie In Our Graves has to be the showstopper of the tour. Still incredible with Boyd's solo and that anticipation of the last verse. I had been waiting forever to hear The Stone live, and it lived up to expectations. One of DMB's most romantic; and did I hear Leroi softly playing Wise Men Say? You can always tell if a show has been great by looking at some of the low or slow points. I thought Granny and JTR fit that bill, even though at most other shows this wouldn't be the case. I'm also not too su! re if I'm a fan of the Drive In/Out closer. I came away with the impression that we got a lot of music tonight, maybe it was because of that 45 minutes of Busted Stuff-Seek Up-Intro. All in all a (MORE THAN) solid show, and I really hope that rumor that this show is the next "offical bootleg" is true.

This was my fourth DMB show and I have to say that it was my least favorite. The set list was very good on paper (it was great to hear Granny), but the show just didn't stack up to the others I'd been to. The biggest problem was the sound. It was bad. I had general admission tickets on the floor and I could hardly hear the songs. I moved up to the seated sections that were not sold out and it was a little better but whoever was controling the soundboard had a bad night. The keyboards kept drowning out everyone else. I like Butch Taylor but the keyboards are just getting to be too much. There were very few solos by Leroi and Boyd compared to other shows. Dave's voice was very horse especially by the end of the show. I have to say that Lie in Our Graves was excellent though.

This was my first concert ever. I've been a DMB fan since Remember Two Things, now I can honestly say I've become a DMB Psycho. The setlist was incredible. My favorite part of the night was when Dave lifted his trade mark eyebrow, turned his back to the audience, and began the opening notes to Crash Into Me. Hearing this live fulfilled the first of two dreams. To accomplish the next, I'll have to perform Crash with Dave.

Let me sum it up for all you dmb fans that weren't able to make it to this show....dave and company: you guys flat out rule, people of hershey: you should be ashamed of yourselves. Now, I have been to six dave matthews band concerts and have been surrounded my nothing but awesome people who love the band and support my love for them as well. But, when i first entered beautiful hershey stadium and got to my seat(section 29 for all you wondering if I'm talking about you) I was confronted by a different group of poeple. First off, everyone was sitting down more or less the whole show( except for crash and ants...of course), and found it appropraite to bitch at me because they couldnt see what was goin on on stage....oh yeah, and evidently we had a few kid rock fans behind us who decided to yell and scream for mr rock the whole show. But enough about that, the show itself was sexelent, probably one of the best setlists that I, myself, have ever seen. I applaud every one of the songs on the upcoming album, The Grace is Gone still gets me everytime. Finally, I couldnt have asked for a better encore, you know the songs, need i say more. see you all next year

My first ever Dave show was this incredible night at Hershey Park. Absolutely unforgettable! The other reviews above have more than done it justice -- there's just one thing I feel it's important to add. For anyone bitching about how low the volume was, there was a reason for that. Hershey Park Stadium has a really nasty acoustical trick up its sleeve when the volume gets too loud. That big building at the far end of the field just outside the stadium acts as a reflector. It bounces everything right back into the stadium. You end up with this crappy 2-second echo the entire night. I've heard it there before at a couple of different non-Dave shows. During loud songs it's okay until the song ends, then you hear the song end again. But during soft songs it ruins everything. So if the volume had been louder, the show would've sucked big time.
