This show was worth the 5-hour drive from Utah. It would've been worth a 20-hour drive for that matter. The boys were ON FIRE. Everyone on stage seemed to be having a wonderful time, looking like they did back in the day. We had a good view of this from almost-perfect seats. Carter came out and decided to celebrate his birthday himself. He has always amazed me but he brought out something extra-special for this show. After a brief pause in the outro of Crush, he and Dave exchanged words and Carter pulled out a mad-ass jam. The rest of the band. Leroi played half the show with the shades off and seemed to be having problems with his mouthpiece throughout the show. He did wonderfully as usual. Stefan was Stefan, brilliant and melodic as always. Boyd seemed more reserved than usual. Didn't go crazy like he usually does. Timmy was his amazing self as well. Highlights of the show had to be the Seek Up opener, I'll Back You Up, which was gorgeous, Carter on every song, and an oldie but goodie Minarets. Lowlights, some asshole behind us who had a problem with people standing up during the show, and some chick who kept yelling, "GO LEROY!" BSU Pavilion is a nice, small venue. Sounded great, at least where we were from. The boys have still yet to play Watchtower and/or Halloween for me, but hey, many more shows for me to attend. I'll shut up now. Keep well all!
