Tonights show was to say the least average. I am not one to usually compare to others I have seen but it seems to be rather similar is songs played and the way they sounded. It was a nice treat to see Jamal Millner play on Jimi and 41. He is a great guitar player. Crush and Grace is Gone were really tight and definatly seemed to get the crowd going. The encores were pretty much the same that they have been for a while but either way I still enjoyed it. All in all the show was nothing special. This tour along with this show were both fun to be apart of. Between the big kickoff show at C'ville and the Two Step at Giants I would say this show had a lot to top. Looking back though I had a great time tonight and all tour and hope to see some of these tunes and meet up with some of the great people I've seen once again next tour. I hope everyone else had a great tour and I'll be back to post more next tour!

Well it is finally the end of the summer for dave concerts for me. And what a night to end on. After i saw 6.9.01 i thought that would be the tops and it could never get better. But DMB has proved me wrong once again. JTR- the perfect beginning song. When the World Ends was standard, but still great. After OSW the show took off. The word of the night was JAM. Jam after Jam. I couldnt believe it. Seven major jams. JTR, Jimi Thing, #41, and Crush, Watchtower, Stay, Ants?!!! Jamal Milner came out on Jimi Thing and #41. He was unbelievable. Then, i heard the greatest watchtower i have ever heard in my life. Butch had this major solo which had him out of his seat dancing while he was playing. Just everybody was rockin. At the end of #41 Dave let the crowd sing instead of him during the Everyday outro. Tonight Dave just reacted to the crowd in the best way. For instance, during Grace Is Gone they extended the jam and Dave walked all the way to the left of the stage where i was groovin in the third row. It was unbelievable. He just strolled on over to our section and checked us out. The crowd went nuts. You could just tell the band was havin the best time. Thank God DMB loves Hershey. Anyways, back to the concert. Stay was another great jam that took us to the encore. I was hopin to hear Waste but was perfectly happy with AIFHTSA by willie nelson. Then of course Ants ended the night perfectly. My prediction: Next year there will be to nights in Hershey because the demand here for dave is overflowing. I guarentee almost everybody who went to the show tonight will be back next year. DMB has found the perfect way to mix major jams in with Everyday and Lillywhite. I am so happy Lillywhites were well represented. 7 Everyday compared to 4 Lillywhites isn't so bad. Tonight very well could have been the best show of the 2001 summer tour.

well to start off, hershey is about as sad as it gets in terms of tailgating. on to the concert, as we settled into our seats in section 25 of the grandstand we saw the band along with butch and the ladies walkin around the buses and trailers while corey harris and the boys were jammin onstage. boyd gave a personal wave to my friend, who also received a personal peace sign from carter who was all smiles. dave and the fellas came on at about 8:38 to a pretty dead crowd. the start of the concert was... subpar. even i couldn't get into it b/c of a bunch of screamin idiots a few rows in front of me. jtr to open, then wtwe. next dave started to play the one sweet world intro much to my delight. this number got the crowd groovin. dave strapped on the 12 next for big eyed fish-->bartender. then so right, which gets better every time i hear it live, love that jam! next dave introduced a friend onto stage. my friend and i went insane expecting the guest to be either trey or bela! instead it was a member of the opening band named jamal millner. he added a great solo to jimi thing on the electric. this song was jammed out for a while, with dave at one point sorta stepping off stage to pay respect to the other band members who jammed on. eventually he came back into the middle of the stage as butch joined in halfway through. jamal stayed onstage for the next song, #41!!! what can i say, the song is absolutely incredible! the everyday outro is always good. dave strapped on the baritone and started up space btwn. there was an abundance of lighters lit during this one(this is when i burned the fingerprint off my right thumb). at this point i also noticed a lazer show goin on in hershey park that added a nice effect for the next few songs. what u r began with a bit of an extended intro which worked real well. the song ended and dave approached the mic and gave props to "steffan on the bass guitar." the lights went out and the spotlight shined down on steffan. it struck me, WATCHTOWER!!!!! i was completely shocked by this early watchtower!! steffan played a mean solo and as dave joined in i felt chills down my spine. the song could only be explained as utter bliss. watchtower is and always will be the greatest concert song of all time. the band kept up the good vibe and played a chillin crush. indeed i agreed, "crazy, how it, feels tonight." next dave put on the bari, stepped to the mic, gave a little "hahaha" then began i did it. the band slowed things down as sleep to dream her came next right into grace is gone. i recall dave wanderin to the far left front corner of the stage at one instance during grace. fool to think was next. personally i enjoy this song live, but it was hard for me to enjoy this rendition due to an old lady who was grinding with her imaginary friend in a mini skirt. some guys behind me sarcastically screamed "milf" repeatedly and took a few pictures. next the lovely ladies came onstage and i knew it was time for stay. dave was dancin away during this one. apparently they really did wanna stay considerin they said the "don't it make you wanna stay" bit about 41 times. the band stepped off and the lighters lit up the venue. as dave came back on my friend and i screamed for #40, but to no avail. dave did a solo of Ain't It Funny How Time Slips Away which was appropriate as this is my last dmb concert this tour. as the band came on we yelled for two step, again to no avail. carter started up ants on the snare. a great version which ended the night perfectly. the band stepped off at 11:26 and quickly left on their buses. while walkin out of the stadium i felt so thankful to the band. they have made this summer truly amazing. "we love you dmb"!!!

Great show! Fool to Think was great tonight as was Jimi Thing and Big Eyed Fish! Ants Marching as always is a great closer! Played a long show tonight, didnt get over until 11:30pm. What You Are was also incredible. Im pretty sure I heard "Monkey Man" at the end of Jimi Thing, Dave was singing the lyrics.

first time id been to hershey, and its a nice place. the traffic was unreal. i was 15 mineuts away from the park at 7 and we didnt find a parking spot till 9. so we missed the first 3 or 4 songs. one thing i noticed is that they didnt have the big jumbo screens on either side of the stage, just the smaller ones behind the band. got in in time to hear him start up SO RIGHT: this song is sounding great live, lots of energy, but dosent stray far from the album format. JIMI THING w/ jamal millner on electric guitar was cool, jammed out alittle longer than usual. and ahh... the smell of kind bud in the air. #41 followed, and lerio was groving in his solo. carter wanted to see how slow they could get before they ended the song. TSB: notin special except that butch and the girls help alot on this one. WHAT YOU ARE: sounding very cool with great video work on this one and lots of dave improv with his voice. WATCHTOWER in the middle of the setlist was kinda weird, dave ended it with only two "the theif he lay" or whatever at the end. CRUSH: very cool as usual, been hoping to see this one live, the outro is all about carter though! he was kicking ass in his solo to end the song. I DID IT didnt do it for me. dave fucked up the lyrics, so thats cool. SLEEP TO DREAM HER: sounding good, but just like the studio version. GRACE IS GONE: saw this comming right after sleep, dave figures he is already playing without a pick, why play another. when he was done singing dave was walking to the far right of the stage chilling, and that was cool. FOOL TO THINK: has a cool chours section. STAY: they ended with this at rfk too, so i wasnt to thrilled to see the same closer, but plenty of energy. i really like that willy nelson cover he's been doing, AINT IT FUNNY HOW TIME SLIPS AWAY, very cool lyrics. carter started off ANTS with the snare hits and was trying to juke us out when he hit the cymbol, but prety standard and enregitic. cool show, but i dont think hershey is equiped to handle a dave show. props up to jim who i met at the show, and the girl next to us who gave me "acid" (which were just mints, inside joke). peace.

Personally i dont think that Hershey is the best place to see Dave. It was a good show, but definatley not his best. The highlights of the show for me were BEF --> Bartender, Watchtower, Grace is Gone, Stay and Ain't it Funny. I love the pennywhistle at the end of BEF leading into Bartender. That might of been one of my favorite parts of the concert. Watchtower definately got the crowd into the concert. I've only been to 5 concerts and this is the first time i got to here that live, so it was very exciting. Grace is Gone was just as beautiful as it always is live. I've heard Stay almost every concert I've been too, but I love it everytime, becuase Dave and the rest of the band gets so into it. I heard Ain't it Funny up at Camden the first time, and i liked it alot, so it was nice to hear it again here at Hershey. The crowd actually got real quite for a few minutes during that song. I liked the concert, i had good seats and had fun, BUT he played way too much Everyday and the Hershey crowd, just like last year, needs to stop talking and listen to the music.

The concert was great ...at least for a Hershey Park concert. Audio sucked at the begging but it got better. I couldn't hear the first 2 minutes of JTR, which sucked, because I have been waiting to hear it ... but the audio got a lot better. Everyone seemed to get into WTWE. But once the intro to OSW started everyone just stopped. (Except for the TRUE, Dave fans). I only think 1/4 of the crowd knew what was coming. OSW was awesome as usual. FMM->Bartender was AWSOME. I saw it at Giants Stadium, and I wanted to see it again and I did. It was Great. SO RIGHT came and the crowd started to pick up ...a little. JIMI THING came and FINALLY there was a crowd. Everyone started to sing and having a good time. Jamal Millner did a great solo. The guys next to me were just in awww just like I was. Boyd and Leroi had great solos. #41 (Everyday) came on and once the first chorus came everyone kept singing the rest of the song (I wanted to play, I wanted to stay...) I just looked at them and kept singing the RIGHT words. The everyday Outro is great too. WHAT YOU ARE was a little on the slow side. What came next blew me away. Stefan starts blowing away w/ his solo. So I thought Two Step or Watchtower. It was Watchtower. Butch made his keyboard turn into Tim Reynolds Guitar. I was in shock, it was amazing. Everyone's solos were OFF THE WALL! Then we hear the bass riff to Crush and everyone lost it. Great live. I never heard it live before. These two songs totally made my night. IDI came next ... pretty much a standard for concerts. Then STDH came on and I knew the slow songs were next so I ran fast and got a shirt. Came back right in time of GIG. Grace is one of the best lillywhites. FOOL TO THINK was next. Didn't hear it live yet, so I was happy to hear it. Then STAY came on and everyone lost it again. GREAT ending song I got to watch Dave do his little dance and it was all good. I wish played Two Step though. TIME SLIPS AWAY was beautiful I wanted to hear it live so bad. On one around me knew what it was. Dave is awesome. Then the rest of the band came out, Carter started the Rim Shots, and everyone knew what was next. ANTS was awesome. I LOVE the intro to that song. The solos were GREAT and the ENDING WAS BETTER. All in all this rates #2 in concerts next to the Giants Stadium (06-11-01) concert. Let's see if we can top it next year.

I thought the show was great, dave got the crowd really into it and we were going nuts. Watchtower was crazy and you could tell the band was really diggin it. a nice #41 with a little everyday tease at the end. Stay also got the crowd jumpin for the "lovley Ladies" who were great. and Ants was an awesome closer to the show, with a good breakdown near the end.

Another year, another show, another review. Well coming into this show I was hyped up because of the good but lackluster preformance at Tweeter on June 22nd. To start off, what a beautiful but hot as hell day in Hershey. Now to the good stuff, Corey Harris and the 5 X 5 were a decent opening act, even though I couldnt pay too much attention because by that time the beer was flowing nicely. Tonite Dave started off with JTR, a good song but I dont think it fits well as an opener. Next Dave went into WTWE, which I think is a better opening song, but its all gravy. OSW was standard, but nice to hear. BIG EYED FISH was great as normal, then a great jam on BARTENDER. After that Dave strapped on the electric and I called SO RIGHT, and I was dead on. Then Dave introduced Jamal from the Corey Harris, and he sat on a great JIMI THING which got the crowd fired up, literally, and then which I think was one of the highlights, an amazing 41 jam and at the end putting in the lyrics to EVERYDAY, which for them to do is amazing, it was great. Then across the way the HersheyPark laser show went off, and filled the sky up for a great SPACE BETWEEN, and then into a WHAT YOU ARE. Now on to the other great highlight, tonights ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER was probably the best one I heard out of the 8 or 9 I've heard. It was unexpected since it was in the middle of the set, but once I saw Stefan do his bass intro, it was the shit. Next Dave went into CRUSH, I DID IT, GRACE IS GONE, SLEEP TO DREAM HER, FOOL TO THINK, and STAY. The reason I say those all together is that, with an already mellow show, this part just bogged it down even more. GRACE IS GONE was the only highlight of that pack because I really love that song. I'm really starting to like the Willie Nelson song, and I knew with Watchtower already played, he had to end with something finally old school, I wanted Tripping Billies, but ANTS is good enough, with a creative jam at the end. All in all a good show, too much Lillywhites and Everday again, and not enough old school, like Billies, Too Much, LIOG, Seek Up...but its all good, and the guy with the Pig poster, I was chanting Pig for ya, but we fell short. I cant wait till next year, just hopefully Time doesnt slip away next year with Dave and the boys!!! LATER

One Word:INCREDIBLE. This was the 7th time Ive seen DMB and it ranks up there probably in the top 3. It seemed like he played forever. Great song after great song. Songs such as Jimi Thing, #41, Watchtower and Ants. Unbelieveable. Well worth the money I spent on the ticket. DMB...Keep Rockin!!!

Well, last night I went to see DMB in Hershey. T'was a good show, to say the least, my fourth overall, but it wasn't the best by far. JTR- Awesome opener, got everyone moving, even though a lot of people don't know it. Kind of standard, but still great. Maybe it was me, but I felt that the energy was kinda low for this. When The World Ends- Another great song, but again, very standard and the energy was low. One Sweet World- Nice intro, and the song was cool, but I really started wondering why it seemed like the music and the people were kinda dull. Big Eyed Fish- If there was one point where everything picked up, it was here. During BEF, everyone really got into it, including Dave. Awesome song. Played into. Bartender- Another great song. Really screams some of those lyrics. So Right- My biggest highlight of the night, because it's the one ED song I really wanted to hear and never had. Awesome song, great jam at the end, and everyone sang along. Jimi Thing- Jamal Millner played on this song. He was great, and the song was cool, but kinda dragged near the end. #41- Amazing song, everyone got into it after many had sit down during Jimi, so that was cool, and the Everyday outro was kinda cool. Space Between- All the little girls got up for the first time and started screaming like it was a freaking N'Sync concert, which pissed me off, but it was still a good song. What You Are- Cool song to hear live. Standard, but nice. Watchtower- Stefan intro was ok.but I really don't think it adds much. Song was awesome, everyone screaming and dancing all over the place, it was a great feeling to be there during that point of the show. Crush- I didn't see this coming, and it was a nice surprise. Good song, and the jam at the end was cool. I Did It- No one moved. No one sang. No one did anything (except for the little girls who only know Space Between and I Did It). I thought it was a fun song live, and fun to dance to, but no one seemed to care. Sleep to Dream Her- Great song live, sounds so beautiful. Played into. Grace is Gone- Another great song live, really graceful (no pun intended). Fool To Think- Could have done without this, but it sounded nice. Stay- Standard, but everyone was dancing and stuff, so that was cool. Ain't It Funny How Time Slips Away- I'm not a big fan of the Dave solo encore, but it was cool anyways.Ants Marching- Standard, but still good song. Everyone had a great time. One thing that made me really happy was one of the kids I was with. Just by luck, it happened that, even though I was an hour and a half away from my home, I was in the same seats as a few kids I work with and one good friend who went to college a few months ago. My one friend Mike looked at me during Crush, and said to me, "I've been to a ton of concerts, and this is the first time that I didn't want a concert to end!" That made my night. Well, good show overall, and fun time. Out of ten, maybe a six.

The concert was awesome. Its my second of the year and I would definately have to say it topped the show at RFK. The band sounded great, Boyd was jamming as usual. There only seemed to be 2 problems and those were that the fans weren't all that pumped and it seems that its hard for a band to get all that pumped when the fans aren't, and at the stadium there were certain places where you really could not hear very well. But all and all a great set list and great show. Tops of the night: 41, AATW, Big Eyed Fish (fish monkey man) and Grace is Gone.

Tremendous setlist JTR: Great Song. Ladies were on stage and gave some backup vocals. cool visuals on the "big screen" When The World Ends: Makes me realize how good the Everyday Cd is when it's live. One Sweet World Really cool intro! Leroi was on fire! #41 (Everyday): During the Everyday outro the band would stop and everyone would yell "Everyday" The Space Between: Really cool shots of the moon on the big screens behind the band. Hershey park has a laser light show that happens when the park closes. Just happened to occurr at the same time Space Between Started. All Along the Watchtower: Great intro by Stephan. Boyd and Dave really went at it at the end! Crush Great song, my first time to hear it live. I Did It: Wasn't a fan of it on the radio, sounded much better live. Sleep To Dream Her: Theme in the setlist? Crush, then Sleep to Dream Her into GIG? Grace Is Gone: Very good breakup song. Aint It Funny How Time Slips Away: Willie Nelson Cover. was dedicated to the fans as well as Amanda, a girl Dave had met earlier in the day. Ants Marching: What a great way to end the show. I've heard Ants at 5 of 6 shows i've attended. Great way to end a great evening.

This is my 5th show and it was an AWESOME show with WONDERFUL Jams!!! The crowd was suprisingly very respectful to the band (people were actually quiet when dave talked!!!) The Band put on a very long set at just 10 minutes short of 3 hours. I saw many tapers there even though i dont think hershey stadium permits taping accoarding to dmband.com. JTR opener was a little disapointing since i saw it at PSU (12/8) well basically. I don't really think JTR is a really good opener. When the world ends was nice i liked the world on the screens. One sweet world was great. I had to explain to everyone around me what the won suite whirrled intro was. BEF--->Bartender was awesome i saw it at giants 6/11 too. so right um well ehhh. Jimi Thing was accompanied by jarmal Milner from the 5X5 (as well as a few more songs) it was jammed out to i think like a 13 min version, it was great! #41-->everyday outro was awesome dave sang: jump in the mud, get yourself all fucked up with love, everyday! He also left spots for the crowd to sing EVERYDAY! During the space between, what you are and watchtower (i think) maybe crush also we were treated to a laser light show above our heads. I must say crush was a very pleasent suprise and watchtower is always nice to hear!!! wow!!! I did it-ehh i thought the set would end at IDI cuz it was like 10:35 around that time but nope!!! sleep to dream her---->GIG was REAL NICE! Fool to think I love that song! Stay closer was a disapointment. They really got to cut down on the "make ya wanna stay's at the end. On to the encore:Dave came up to the mic and said that this song was dedicated to someone special (and y'all) (he also mentioned a name but i didn't catch it) Then he broke into a his solo of aint it funny how time slips away i like that song a lot. Then they did a very solid ants closer-GREAT SONG. All in all an AWESOME SHOW. the last one for me this summer, see ya next year boys!

*Awesome* show. Let's get to it! JTR was a little unexpected, since the only rain was from the security guards with the squirt bottles. WTWE's intense bass was cool, but a fairly standard song. One Sweet World! Oh my god! I've never heard that instrumental intro, but it was rockin. I heard Fish Monkey Man and Bartender at RFK (see: riot show), and I still can't get over Roi and his pennywhistle. Jimi Thing was neat, with Jamal Millner's solo. #41 was standard. The Space Between got the entire crowd singing, along with What You Are. Stefan started pounding on his bass, and we knew Watchtower was next. CRUSH! CRUSH! CRUSH! AAAAH! I Did It also got the crowd going. Sleep To Dream Her got almost *no* crowd response. I was a little disappointed. Such a lame song. Grace Is Gone was a great suprise. Fool To Think was nice. Stay got all of the girls in the crowd screaming. When Dave came back he told us a little story about his he met a girl before the concert, and they got it on, or something to that effect, then he "dedicated" "Aint It Funny" to her. Ants closed the night with a bang. Great Show!

The show started off with a pretty sweet version of JTR. Boyd played a long violin part right before the last jam, really extended. WTWE was pretty standard, as was OSW. But in OSW Dave did a little longer scat at the end of the song than normal. BEF --> Bartender was incredible. I was hoping to hear this and did. Dave was really vocal in both of these songs and this was when he started really gettin into it. So Right rocked. Jimi Thing was pretty sweet with the guy from Corey Harris, but other than that standard. I love the outro to #41. The crowd got really into the "everyday" part and dave sorta was joking around wit it. SB and WYA were pretty well done, it seems like the boys have the new album pretty well covered. Watchtower was amazing to hear in the middle of the set. It was nice that they kept it semi-short too, since there was plenty of jams up to this point. Crush was a total shocker. Butch played the lead guitar solo on his keyboard at the end. WOW! IDI was standard, although the LL add a lot. FTT was awesome to hear live also. There was just a lot of good songs tonight. The setlist was pretty strong and the band played really solid. Dave was dancing like a madman during the last few mins. of Stay too, i love it when he does that. All in all, great show to me. Of the 4 i've been to, i'd rank it #2. But that's just me. Take care.

What an unbelievable show! The best of the 2 I've been to. It was over 2 1/2 hrs long and Jamal Milner from the opening band came in on Jimi Thing (sweet) and #41 (always great). I'm just gonna run through the show from the beginning... Corey Harris & the 5x5 were good but a lot of people around me didn't agree. They were too busy being teeny-boppers to care (I still hate teeny-boppers). JTR - great opener, great jam at the end, I called it but no one around me knew it, the ladies sound good on this one WTWE - awful, God awful, but at least it's short! One Sweet World - 2nd time I've heard it, great opener, Leroi sounded great! Big Eyed Fish - got my wish, "Stay up in your f---in tree...", great jam, and Leroi on that flute thing sounded really sweet Bartender - so much energy and passion by the whole band, still no one around knew it So Right - okay if you like crap!, I hate Everyday so you'll get the same reaction on each of those songs Jimi Thing - great, everyone singing along and Jamal Milner was off the hook w/ his solo #41 - standard but solid, great audience participation on a lot of the tunes Space Between - not a great song, but it was beautiful when all the lighters were on, and then the laser show from the amusement park came on and that was just amazing! What You Are - sounding sort of like Last Stop or Minarets but I'm never that lucky, my dad liked it but once again, I hated it Watchtower - standard except Leroi and Butch and Boyd's solos were unbelievable, esp. Butch who made his keyboard sound like an electric guitar Crush - Hell yeah! So pretty and the whole audience was singing along, totally unexpected, it made the 6 hr. trip from Cleveland worth it I Did It - What the hell is that about! The song wouldn't have been worse if carter had crapped on the stage, the audience seemed to agree w/ me, not a great reaction for this (dare I say) "song" Sleep to Dream Her - just bad, but since I knew what was coming, I was willing to wait Grace Is Gone - 2nd time I've heard, better still than last time, so beautiful and many people knew it which was nice Fool To Think - they had to go there and f--- up the show again, I knew Stay was coming up cuz the ladies were out though Stay - sounded good, I like it as a closer Ain't It Funny... - great job by Dave, told a little story first, then threw in a line from this other song (name escapes me...) Ants Marching - wanted to hear it so badly and it was all I thought it could be, great energy, great solos, everybody singing along, I loved it! No Warehouse but I was so happy anyway, it didn't matter. Great long show and one of the best of 2001 (probably saying that only cuz I was there)

I thought that the show was great! Dave played an amazing show. He talked about Hershey Chocolate which was entertaining to the crowd. The setlist was amazing, because there were classic Dave songs, like: OSW, JT, 41, Watchtower, Crush, Grace, Stay, and Ants. There were also new songs like JTR, WTWE, Fish, SR, TSB, WYA, IDI, S2DH, and F2T. It was a great mix of songs. The show was very energetic: both crowd and band. All members of the band shined, even Butch and Jamal. Excellent show except for one thing, many concert goers seemed to not know many of the songs. Could this be the result of "Everyday"(Pop), being released instead of the "Lillywhites"(True Dave)? or just an unknowing crowd? let me know what you think: email-Luke_Towner@yahoo.com

My first show and I was very impressed. So Right was great. The Space Between was amazing along with a lot of the other Everyday songs. Butch Taylor adds alot to Ants Marching which was a great encore. Lokking forward to returning ASAP.

I have been to three dave matthews shows in the past 4 years, and this one was by far the worst. He played a total, yes a total, of 3 songs from crash and under the table. Practically all of the songs he played were from everyday or before these crowded streets. And he played a bunch of stuff from lillywhite, but they were all the crappy songs from lillywhite. I would say about every sixth song was good. With the exception of watchtower, which was very well done, and maybe stay, none of the songs were particularly high energy, it was really mellow. When he did grace is gone and sleep to dream her back to back i thought i was gonna fall asleep. I almost considered leaving before the encore, which wouldn't have been that bad cause he only played that willie nelson song and ants marching, which was played exactly the same way they have played it since like 1994. This was a very disappointing concert. No warehouse, tripping billies, too much, two step, what would you say, crash. Just crappy 3 and a half minute everyday songs. Boooooo to dave on this one.

Once again Dave put on a wonderful show. This was my third time seeing Dave in concert and probably the best. There was a great mix of new and old songs, very well known and very little known songs. There was very little davespeak which I didn't mind because the set was longer. He played for what seemed like an eternity, but when it ended I was of course sad to walk out that stadium knowing it would probably be at least another year till I see him live again. All Along the Watchtower has got to be a fan favorite as well as Dave's favorite to play in concert. I have only once ever seen a song performed that well (Two Step in Pittsburgh on the fourth of July with 20 minutes of fireworks to Dave jamming with the band). This concert was especially great however because I got to spend it with the girl of my dreams. As she put it "There is nothing more euphoric than a night with Dave on the stage".

Dave and Co always seem to put on a good show in Hershey. I've seen all Hershey shows since '96 and they never let down. We got there in time to hear a little of Corey Harris and the 5 X 5... really liked their stuff. Be sure to check them out if you get the chance. The JTR opening was great. I can't get enough of the Lillywhite cuts... much better stuff than the radio friendly Everyday. Dave please release these to the public... my napster versions aren't the best. OSW is always sweet. Bartender was played... probably my favorite tune from the boys. The lirics are very powerful. Jimi Thing and #41 with Millner were fantastic. This dude plays a nice guitar. #41 is a great live song... always great. So is Jimi. After some Everyday songs, which I didn't care for too much, came Watchtower. Started with a sweet little solo by Stefan, Dave puts so much emotion into the song. Really enjoyed the huge video screens on this one. Boy, the band has come a long way. I'm a huge fan of Hendrix's Watchtower, but Dave's is growing on me. Crush was good as always... love the bass on this tune. Could of done without IDI, but they have to play it. 'Sleep To Dream' is a good one. 'Grace' was beautiful... another great song from Lillywhite. 'Foot To Think', I like this one also. 'Stay' was a great ending of the set... love the horn on this one. Dave's solo at the beginning of the encore was nice, but couldn't wait for the rest of the boys. 'Ants' was the finisher... always an excellent way to end the experience. What is it about this band... I can't get enough. CARTER for President.

JTR always starts a show out on the right foot. With that funky verse and catchy chorus blending into the ending jam that displays all of the bandmembers' talents, the audience was up and loving it. The core of the show consisted of some classic DMB tunes in the form of Jimi Thing, #41, Watchtower, and Crush. Although I did not like some of the Everyday songs they brought out, at least they were surrounded by the songs aforementioned. Playing Fool To Think and Stay to end the show was slow and predictable. Stay, especially with the lovely ladies, is too overplayed. Nice encore with Ain't It Funny How Time Slips Away where Dave dedicated it to a lady friend of his. Sorry to hear Ants as the closer. Would have liked to hear Greystreet or Tripping Billies with nature intro. All in all, a great show that was made better because the Everyday songs were surrounded by the classics.

This was a phenomenal show, especially considering that Hersheypark Stadium isn't the most optimal venue. Since they lost alot of the sound with the stadium being so open, it worked out well that they played a 'chill' setlist. This was my third show of this tour, and they played every song that I hadn't heard previously, but had read about on this page, or really wanted to hear. At the top of that list, Big Eye Fish, or Fish Man Monkey as Dave sang it last nite, is an awesome song and has quickly become my favorite. I was a bit surprised that very few people around where I was sitting knew the Lillywhite songs, I guess I just assumed everyone has been as lucky as I and had them since March. Highlights of the show were Fish/pennywhistle/Bartender, the jam at the end of So Right is very sweet, the Everyday outro on #41, the space between really got the crowd going, a slowed down watchtower, crush had everyone singing, GIG and ants is always a great ending. I was so cheesin' after the show about seeing all I have seen in the three shows I've been to this year. Thanks to everyone who submits reviews on this page and gives me something to do during work. I am so glad that the concert reviews have increasingly shown that the Everyday and Lillywhite CDs are beginning to live in harmony among fans during the shows. Take care.

First of all what an amazing show. Driving nine hours from detroit was definatally worth it!!! The highlights of the night...First JTR sounds so great live the ladies gave the song some added enjoyment with there background vocals. Then in was into WTWE which I heard in Detroit and sounded the same and then came the jam into OSW which i was surprised I thought it was going to be Sattelite or something but i am glad that it was OSW. Big Eyed Fish into Bartender unbelievable this was one of the greatest momens of the night hearing Leroi with take it into Bartender truly amazing. Jimi was a great jam and 41 with Jamal Millner was awesome. The Everyday added onto the end of it was an added surprise. The came Space Between this sounds so great live and during the song the laser light show was going over the stadium at first i thought that this was planned but i found out later that this was part of hersheyparks night show. After Watchtower I was convinced the show could not get any better with crush and I did it following amazing. To close with Slips Away and Ants was amesome!!! I didnt think that i would hear either of those. Even though I was in section 1 row AA (which is far from the stage) I could hear everything not as loud as I would like but good enough. It was a great time and definatally is the best concert i have ever been to.

What a Phenomenal Setlist in Hershey tonite. This was my last show of the 2001 summer run and they certianly went out with a bang. My friend called the JTR opener which was sweet. Hearing One Sweet World was my first of the tour. WAtchtower snuck up on everyone in the mid-set, and what a sick watchtower it was. Let me just say that JimiThing and #41 with Jamal Milner Was a flat out JAM SESSION. That was freekin great. It was an extremely solid show, one of the best i seen, goes in my top 5 favorites. Ants capped off a terriffic summer run for me and my friends. These hershey shows just keep getting better and better. Well my summer 2001 run is over I would have to Rank 6/24/01 Camden as the best with 7/27/01 Virginia locked in as nearly a Tie with that one as the best shows i saw this tour. the 2nd e-center show and Tonites hershey show come in at a arguable 3rd and 4th and i would rank e-centre Night #1 as fifth. But all in all they all ROCKED! until next time dmb......bring on the winter tour!

Great show!! Although out of all the DMB shows I've been to (five), this wasn't the greatest. The 6/23/01 DMB show at Camden, NJ was the greatest. They played all of my fav's...."Watchtower", "Crush", and "Jimi Thing", along with "Grace Is Gone" from Lillywhites. The begining of the concert was horrible. It started with the bass turned too far up, so you couldn't hear Dave (part of the reason this was not the best concert). So during songs the crowd cheered "turn it up," and after about thirty minutes passed, they turned down the bass, or turned up the trebile. Although I drove 2.5 hours to see him and spent over 100$ from tickets, to motel fees, it is always well worth it to see Dave!!

The Hershey concert was great, aside from a few too many Everyday songs. Watchtower was excellent and everyone was on their feet. I found Jimi Thing, #41, and Crush my favorites of the night. The crowd was totally into it on #41 and Crush was beautifully done also. Sleep to Dream Her was the worst song by far, almost everyone was sitting (who had seats), followed by I Did It, probably. It was a great show, not one to be missed!

I've been to 15 shows in the last 3 years and this had to be one of the best! He seemed to be having a great time on this gorgeous night and it showed by the set list. There was a great mix of old and new. The best had to have been The Space Between, when all the lighters were out, the moon was behind him and the lazer show started, that just hyped everyone up. A bunch of people left early which sucked for them since they missed Stay and Ants Marching.

Wow... the shows just keep getting better. Dave's performances have become even more amazing than since the songs from Lillywhite and Everyday have been written. The crowd around me didn't seem to be into the show but I know my brother Matt and I were dancing to every song. The new songs sound great live. The last thing I want to read about his shows this year is the fact that Dave isn't playing his old stuff... He only played a few older tunes. I love the old stuff too, but damn it...the new stuff is great. JTR as an opener was great. "Big Eyed Fish" was great too...and yes...he did sing "Monkey stay up your fucking tree..." Bartender was simply awesome. Leroi on the lute was sweet. What a song. "Jimi Thing" was played...what more needs to be said? I think the entire stadium smelled the fans "...smoking their minds..." Watchtower in the middle of the set was cool. It always gets a crowd going. "Fool to Think" sounds great live as does "So Right". I was really happy to hear them. The Encore was great. The Willie Nelson tribute is very pretty. Dave does a great job on it. And then Carter started hitting his snare in the unmistakable rhythm of "Ants Marching"... What a closer. This was the only thing that can take the place of a twinty-minute version of "Two Step"... The concert was simply breathtaking... Thanks Dave!!!

JTR what a perfect opening it was a great tone to begin the night and they had so much energy. Fish Monkey Man also a treat to hear and sounded cool and Bartender was also excellent, Leroi had a cool fife or something in both and sounded awsome. So Right was better live nice jam at end, Jimi Thing was not expected and had some nice solos and a cool jam at end. Space Between best i've every heard they've really dome some good stuff to that song. Next my personal fav Watchtower totally unexpected in the middle of the show and they had so much energy into this song, boyd really rocked the house for this song, Crush another fav nice to here live very cool. Sleep to Dream Her into Grace is Gone is a very nice transition and both were a treat to hear live. Stay kicked, the band really laid it down on this song so much energy, they really kept it going. The encore was amazing both songs were excellent especially ants best version i've heard yet. All in all this was the best show i've seen so far they player for 3 hours and jammed every chance they could, the crowd and the band had so much energy flowing all night awsome show!!!!!

Hey everybody! This was my first DMB show, and I loved it. I know that my opinion may differ from those who have seen 10, 15, even 20 shows in their life, but hey, I don't care. I thought that the boys really seemed full of energy tonight. They played a good variety of old and new songs, too, which was nice. I don't really feel like going into great detail with every song, since I don't have too much to compare them with. I would have liked to hear Two Step, but it didn't happen. #41 (Everyday) was my personal favorite of the evening, followed by Watchtower. I guess that's all I really have to say. I'll definitely be there next year to hear them again!

First off, this was my 2nd show of the tour, and I should say it was definitely a high quality show. JTR - Very nice opener, I think the whole song was improvised than the version on the LWS WTWE - Not a fan of this song, its short, which is pretty much the best part about it OSW - Loved hearing this! Great version, who can complain about this song? BEF-->Bartender - Already heard this on tour, both pretty good versions, Bartender was sweet. So Right - 1st time hearing this, sounded alright, nothing thrilling Jimi Thing - very nice surprise, the guy from the 5x5 jammed nice, but i would have rather just heard the boys jam on this song 41 - Always great to hear this, same as Jimi Thing, still would have rather heard only DMB jam on this..Everyday outro was pretty cool to hear Space Between - Ehhh, whatever What You Are - Had a lot of energy, thought Dave might have lost his voice for a second during this song Watchtower - Midset Watchtower!!! Fully re-energized the crowd, great version, Dave and Boyd rocked Crush - Wow! didn't think we'd hear this. But it sounded beautiful live. I Did It + Sleep to Dream Her - Not even commenting, they need to stop playing these songs Grace Is Gone - God this song is great, it shouldn't be paired with STDH Fool to Think - (See I Did It) Stay - I've heard this too many times, It's losing it's touch Ain't It Funny...- I was hoping for Waste, but this was a cool song Ants - Boyd fully rocked this song out, Carter was great...couldn't end the night better. As you can see I'm not a big fan of Everyday, the old stuff rocks, while the new stuff just sounds too bland.

Well, I've been to Hershey now 2 years in a row and this year was a lot better. The sound was better and the overall show was better. As an opener I expected Two Step or Seek Up, but instead we got JTR. I've heard this at all 4 concerts I've been to. The ending jam was better than any other time, mainly because of Carter's little solo. The ladies were there and sounded really good. WTWE was played a lot slower tonight and Dave seemed to do some kind of little rap in it. OSW was excellent and totally unexpected. It was the first time I've heard it live. Fish Monkey Man-Bartender was terrific. Leroi was excellent on the pennywhistle, too. I thought they would play it but not that early. The added word in "a money should know stay up your tree" really got the crowd going. So Right was the first song of the night that really got the crowd into the show. That song is so good live, but I think Leroi can do more with his solo. Jimi Thing ..awesome! It really got the crowd dancing a nd Boyd, Leroi, and the special guest guy all had awesome solos. #41/Everyday had the crowd singing. The jam at the end of 41 was excellent.Leroi on the sax and Carter on the drums.the crowd screaming "Everyday" made the ending better than what it is. TSB stayed real close to the album version but the Hershey laserlights added a real cool effect. What You Are was also standard but a terrific setup for the next and best song of the night..Watchtower. Unbelievable version! Best one I've heard. I could not believe they put it in the middle of the set. All the solos in it were terrific and the crowd was really into it. Crush..yet another unbelievable song. The crowd sang every word and for me it was another first time live song. I Did It I did not expect at all. I've been wanting to hear it so bad because I've never heard it live before. It stayed close to the album version but for me that was no problem. STDH really brought the crowd down after some of the best songs of the night. I personally don't like the song either but I love the song they followed up with which is Grace Is Gone. All 3 times I've heard this song have sounded the same but tonight was the best because the ending to it lasted a lot longer. Fool To Think stuck to the album version but still great to hear. It really did not get the crowd back up though. Carter is so cool to watch drum in this song. I think everyone called Stay which was by far the better of the 2 times I've heard this live. Dave was all over the stage dancing, as he was during most of the songs. Boyd was dancing like crazy, too. When Dave came out by himself for the encore, I knew it would either be Waste>Billies or Ain't It Funny>Ants. Well, we did get Ain't It Funny which Dave sounds great on, and Ants. Ants was the perfect closer. The whole place was dancing and rocking. Boyd's solo lasted longer than usual. The only disappointing things for the night were that were very few dance songs. No Granny, WWYS, etc. Also, I thought they would play something different tonight such as LIOG or Nancies. One kid behind me was yelling for Nancies the whole time. Oh well, the night had too many highlights that made up for that. Can't wait for a Fall/Winter tour and next year's Summer tour.

One of the better of the shows i have been too. I was a little upset at the beginning of the show but So Right def picked the crowd up which went into one of the best Jimi Thing Ive ever heard.. Watchtower was AMAZING and got the crowd going crazy.. Crush was also amazing and made the show that much better. Grace is Gone although a very mellow song was performed great and was one of the best of the night. The first encore song AIFHTSW was alright i wasnt too familiar with the lyrics which made it less enjoyable. The fans around me seemed to love it tho. Ants topped off the night with Dave allowing the crowd to sing like in Live At Red Rocks. Also def the best Ants ive ever heard. To top the night off we saw a girl get carried out in a strecther she drank so much, we met some really great people, and also we all got shitfaced on the way there and back. Def one of my favorite shows yet

My 6th concert, and as what always happens...Every time I go to a new one .. it's the best one I've seen. I actually called the first two songs of JTR (love it) and When the World Ends (one of the better ones off Everyday). Big Eyed Fish I've never heard live and is my fav or LS, so that was awesome with a long Bartender following it. #41 is my favorite of all Dmb songs so that kick major ass. I love all the new Everyday songs live because it sounds like Dmb again. The only thing I didn't like about the concert was the lovely ladies (they need to go!!!!!!!) and the song "I Did It" It's too much of a sing along and it sounds like Glen Ballard wrote the whole thing trying to get Dmb a radio smash hit....Anyway, the concert was great and was filled with new, old, released, and unreleased stuff which needs to be done!! Awesome gig!!

The phrase "totally different" comes to mind when i think of this show. I had hoped for them to open with JTR and despite how slow it was it was still impressive and crowd uniting-everyone was singing "Rain Down On Me!!!". Carter's artcraft stole the song with awesome new drum roles but boyd was a close second with his turbo 64th note build ups. Ok next song! Can you tell yet i loved this show?WTWE....coooool ass shit man. i really didnt want to hear any everyday stuff but was surprised by how well the songs have developed over the past months. WTWE had a lot of strength. One Sweet World...aaaaah...DMB touched base with Remember Two Things. Thank the music gods. the jam in thebegining was very jazzy; the sax solo just closed the whole crowd in and made us all feel like we were in a little club just chillin' while the boys jammed. It ruled. Another highlite...big eyed fish...dave switched all the verses around and dropped the f bomb in it. Curses are FUN! love that song. it went right into bartender which was the great version i have ever heard...the penny whistle took the air out of my lungs. Leroi is amazing. So right...strong, surprisingly full...sax whaled...and cool tight ending. Jimi thing...very long jam with an awesome blues guitar solo! BTW that opening band ruled where the from Charlettesville? 41 always welcome at my shows...long jamming and that everyday outro was excellent. Space Between- pretty. What you are....carter!...enough said. One of the big highlites was All Along the Watchtower...three solos! Boyd, then Butch, the Leroi...Butch used an electric whaling guitar effect which reminded me of Dream Theatre, anyway it was a surprise to hear him incorperate the Stairway to Heaven solo in his solo on keyboard. Want to surprise the whole crowd? Then play Crush! Great passionate vocal version and the drum solo at the end is so fun to watch! I DID IT. WOW i thought it would suck. It was actually really fun...everyone was singing and dancing to it. Sleep to dream her-loved it and the sax is all over it now and carter does alot of cool hi hat stuff too. Grace is Gone...wow.. all i can say is wow. Fool to think... they certainly turned my opinion of that around...the drums are all over it i just cant hear them as much on everyday.Stay....big closer....they said the phrase "makes you want to say" 42 times...try to beat that-JESUS! So far a great show! now the encore:Aint it funny how time slips away was very chill and im glad i heard it...reminded me of long black veil...same scale i think. ANTS predictable but cool...ended the show on an optmistic song. The national ANTem. Best show ive seen them play in a long time...lots of lillywhite stuff :). The band seems happy again! It shows in their performance. Enjoy the rest of the shows everyone...you wont be let down!
