Last night I was at the show at the Beacon Thearter and I have to say that it was the best show of my life. This was my fourth Dave show and it was amazing. I love the new song Reconcile Our Differences, and I'll Back you up was so sweet. The energy in the crowd was amazing and Dave simply played off it and was incredibly funny. When Warren Hayes came out, my friend and I knew he was going to play Watchtower, and we went nuts. It was amazing. I can't wait for Dave to come back in the summer.

This was my first Dave and Tim show, and I have to say it was definately amazing. A few high points were LIOG, BOWA, #41, and Granny. Dave was really funny too. Someone shouted out Are you dumb! while Dave was talking about being quiet, and then Dave was like "some people are just screwed up, like that motherfucker". Also, after Tim's second solo when Walked back on stage, 2 girls ran up onto the stage, and one of them kissed Dave. They were both dragged off by security. There were 2 things about the show that i didn't like. One, Tim didn't play Stream, but the songs he played were almost as awesome. Two, the crowd was obnoxious as hell. People were screaming out requests and yelling shit while he was talking. You can tell it was really getting on his nerves. Once he even said "let me talk already!" When one girl yelled out "i love you dave" he just gave her a thumbs up with a grin on his face. All in all, the concert was really great, and anyone who has tickets s hould consider themselves very lucky.

I have seen Dave Matthews band a few times before and I have seen DMB when Tim Reynolds has played with them, but tonite the atmosphere, the incredible setlist combined with the great DAVESPEAK was absolutely incredible. In the terrific Beacon Theatre, Dave and Tim put on a terrific show really playing out every song to perfection. Dave also told some great jokes including one about apes. An absolute A+ concert

Ok, So I was lucky enough to get into last nights concert, and it was great!! Seek Up was AMAZING!! #41 was also great. I was a little disappointed they played Crash. I've heard the song at every DMB concert I've been to. I would've loved to hear Rapunzel. Anyway, the best songs of the night were definitely Seek Up, #41, The Stone, and I'll Back You Up. After Tim's second solo, a couple of girls ran onstage to kiss Dave, but they were quickly escorted. I thought the set list was decent. It could've been better. Both Tim solos were great!! I especially like the first one. He used some special effects with the guitar pedals. It was incredible about how many people showed up with fake tickets!! Left and right people were getting thrown out!! Dave did his normal thing.. singing songs, telling stories, and making fun of people who made requests. Overall, it was a great concert. I was happy I got a chance to go and you should definitely consider going to a Tim and Dave show.

Sick show - started off with dave telling everybody to basically shut up and he ended up getting a little annoyed as show went on - stopping short at stories because everybody was yelling. he really interacted well with the crowd though answering screams with either gestures or smart alec comments. highlights - BACK U UP - crowd was SILENT and if anyone said a word, they were quickly "shh" ed. IF I HAD A BOAT - was absolutely amazing. CRY FREEDOM was stirring. low-lights - obnoxious crowd, no # 40. all in all, a solid show

ALright, ready? Phenomenal opening with LIOG. Absolutley great beginning with the next five songs unreal as well. Dave was definitely telling the crowd to shutup the whole show though, which he did rather jokingly and creatively. Other highlights: Tim yelling in response to crowd yellers; Dave totally messed up the lyrics to Granny and had to cut the song short; a girl jumped up on stage and kissed Dave; Amazing "Stone" and "If I Had A Boat" is a new favorite of mine!; Cry Freedom was awesome first encore and of course, Warren Haynes' appearance blew my mind. Unfortunately, his solo during Watchtower was cut way short because he WASN'T PLUGGED IN!!! Oh well, still great to see the spontaneity and intimacy of a small venue. Last note - great stroy about bonobo (sp?) apes...real funny.

This was my first Dave show ever and it was the greatest thing I have ever seen. For someone who had to cancel a show the night before because of illness, Dave sounded perfect. Tim, with his long, red hair, is the best guitarist I have ever seen. As they started, my friend asked me, "Who's the girl?" I said, "That's Tim." He's like, "Wow, he looks so different from the back of the Luther College CD." Anyway, highlights of the night were #41-same as on Luther College, but it still sounds amazing. Seek Up-One of my favorite songs and one of the first times they played this on the tour and it was great. If I Had A Boat-This is the perfect song for Dave to cover. It's just like all the songs he's written. I loved it. I liked the new song, Reconcile Our Differences, also. Watchtower was the last song of the encore and everyone got up and started dancing. Davespeak topics included the shots he got, female chimps back in Africa who pleasure the males to get what they want and how fan s get so caught up in the emotion that they have to scream in the middle of the song. Tim never spoke but he did let out a scream in between two of the songs. Overall, a great show. Can't wait till the whole band comes back to NYC.

My first Dave and Tim show----definitly intense---real problem with crowd though---kept getting up and down the entire show, and especially when Tim took two amazing solos. "Reconcile---DDTW" was great--really dark. Played Granny!!!! ONe of my favorites, followed up with pretty good "Satellite." "Back you up" was absoulutly beautiful, and the crowd actually shut up for this song.--Incredible---women behind me talked on a cell phone almost the entire show---some people have no clue. "Seek Up" was the highlight of the show for me---jammed out on it for a while--tim was awesome on this one---used all his different effects. "Spoon" and "If I had a Boat" were great also. Encore with "Cry freedom" was cool--didn't really like thAT SONG until last night. "Watchtower" would have been amazing with Warren Haynes---but his guitar stopped working halfway through---overall a great show and experience-----Dave speak was funny, and looked like he put on some weight.

WOW!! What a show, my first Dave and Tim show ever and it was simply incredible. If someone has not seen a D and T show it is a must see. Davespeak was common throughout the night as he spoke to the crowd after each of the first four songs rather longly. After Dave characterized the crowd as "animals" because of some loud fans, even Tim gave out a loud "aaaahh" to the fans. After a fans screemed out to play "Halloween", Dave simply explained "What are you crazy, I've been sick you fool". As for Tim, that guy can play. Many fans after the show were marveled by his quickness and percision with the quitar. His solo's were incredible as the fans appreciated his character. One of the highlights of the night, besides Davespeak, was when Dave and Tim played "If I Had A Boat". The fans, most of who never heard the song, all enjoyed it. Dave also brought out "The Best of Whats Around" which was played real well acoustically. Also, "The Stone" drew satisfaction from the cro wd especially, after going into "Can't Help Falling in Love". However, when Dave and Tim brought out Warren Hayes for "Watchtower", the crowd went crazy and the three performed a memorable encore. All in all, a rememorable performance from Dave and Tim, a night a know must won't forget.

Beacon show was great in many ways - hat's of to Dave for his (pharmaceutically induced) stamina. I went expecting little after watching his voice fade on Saturday nite / he barely made it through Nancies. But, Dave was up and animated and ready. So what happened? Well, I learned that as much as I'm not into dropping and giving anyone twenty, the Cadets at West Point have my sincere appreciation for their maturity and respect for Dave and his music. Because, the crowd at the Beacon sucked. Dave spent the whole evening trying to lightly and humorously convince the crowd that it's not cool to be an asshole. There was a war going on between the meathead "WATCHTOWER!" crowd, the ditzy "I LOVE YOU" crowd, and the "SHUT UP AND LISTEN" crowd. Very uncool. So the Dave speak was of the school marm variety (with the nice exception of the Chimp / Ape story about conflict resolution ... but you had to be there). You could hear a pin drop at West Point, you couldn't even hear that there wa s a concert going on at the Beacon.... Don't mean to eminate bad vibes. Dave and Tim will always give me a great show. I just have to say that if the Beacon was a solid show, Eisenhower was the set to seek. I just don't get the relationship between great music and clueless children. But then, the Jimi -> What Will -> Pantala sums it up. Who cares. Relax, smoke your mind, make your life better for a short while. Oh yeah, and hey, Timmy, how bout, maybe, washing your hair before the tour ends.

Started off slowly but ended awesome. Overall a great show besides the crowd worst crowd I have ever seen. Dave was even getting pissed at points. I mean people still stand up and right when the show starts Dave says that this is a chill show and u groove in your seat I mean what more do you want then the artist to tell you to sit down. Great set. Sweet sweet jame in Nancies and one of the best seek up's. Cry Freedom was the biggest surprise I hadn't heard it since 6-9-96. What a great song. And watchtower is always a treat especially when you get Mr. Hayes acoustically.

It is late and I have school tommorrow so I will make it short and sweet. The crowd was very good and mostly respectful.Dave told some guy to shut the fuck up a few times.Lot's of Davespeak including the shots Dave had to get to be able to play to cure his flu.Tim was unbelievable as always.Dave said everybody should let out a scream every once and a while so Tim preceded to do so.Setlist was good but not amazing.I really wanted to hear #40,Pay For What You Get,or crazy but it didn't happen. My highlights were BOWA seek up(great jam with tim),warehouse with the passio intro,Reconcile Our Differenecs(very mellow and reminds me of passion intro to warehouse.Dave and Tim were just simply unbelievable and Dave is a comedian and a musician rolled into one.I am happy I got these tix,I was 25th row and had a great view.By the way,Dave's hair is a little longer but he ain't that heavier.I can't wait to listen to these tapes.I will see ya all at the spring/summer tour 99'.
