Just back from the long, arduous, and saturated journey from the Civic Center to the Providence College campus. Dave put on a lovely show for all my sober PC classmates. Oh wait, there were none other than myself. Well, that's two reviews beginning with alcohol jokes. I need new material. Anyway.. the Stone was an excellent opener. Extra energy from all five. Same with DIDO. I always enjoy this live because Dave messes with the lyrics so much. Technical problems arose when Dave mouthed "I've got a sister named Jane, and this is the Song That Jane Likes." No one heard him say it. They actually started the song and all one could hear was Carter. All the microphones went on a glitch for about the first five seconds. Pretty weird stuff. Tapers must have been perturbed. Santa Matthews once again left me coal- the only interesting part of Satellite was the lighting. But all was well again with JTR. I'm going to marry the outro of this beauty. After switching guitars and sipping from his travel coffee mug, Dave sent out his first community service announcement. "Ya'll should drink your fluids, it's cold and flu season." Granny was really solid, in a nice place in the set, and lived up to all its potential. A fulfilling tune. The trilogy (SMTS-->ASTB-->Too Much) was splendid. Hearing this in Boston and Providence was a treat. Again Dave reminded us, "It's cold and flu season." More on this story later. Boyd then emerged for the first time- True Reflections got him going. Next was #41 and the wondrous Everyday outro. Changed up the lyrics a little.. Dave repeated "up from the bottom, down to the top, dancing to love Everyday.. inside and out, left to the right love, Everyday... inside and out, give it up for Everyday" Also at the very end added some high notes similar to something like #36. My biggest surprise was yet to come though- for the first time in a long while, they played Jimi and I actually enjoyed it. LeRoi and Boyd had an awesome duel before Dave's solo. Boyd was really trying to steal some of LeRoi's usual Jimi thunder. It was totally chill. Dave stood between them and was loving it all. WWYS was played with such high energy that I thought there was no way they'd stay on stage. But they did. And treated us to Watchtower. Encore started predictably, with a beautiful Dave and Carter Christmas Song. "This is a religious song." The crowd was especially loud and appreciative for it. Then Dave revealed the reason he played all night with a grey knit woolen hat on and was drinking so much- apparently he's ill with a 102 degree temp and a fever. Damn good thing they had a couple days off. But he said the crowd was making him feel great. 15,000 screaming fans cheering on Mr. Matthews' immune system. Good times. Billies as the night-closer wasn't the best version I've heard, but the momentum built up throughout the night gave it extra flavour. And it hasn't been played often to end shows. So I was satisfied. Now begins the anticipation for February 27th. Happy holidays everyone. I'll catch you next tour.

Definitely a tight show. I went into it thinking that it would be a nice mellow show in a pretty cool venue. There was actually a ton of energy there tonight. Dave was two stepping around like nobody's business. It was actually a pretty similar set to the one on 12/11/00 @ the Fleet Center. Lets do some highlights. I really like The Stone as an opener. It is a beautiful song and is so good live. There was a little audio glitch at the beginning of Song That Jane Likes, but it was fixed right away. Satellite is always good to hear... especially over 5,000 screaming girls. Granny, as always, gave me chills as soon as I heard the opening chord. Nice version, I really like it without the "lovely ladies". #41 was really nice to hear. The Everyday outro makes me so anxious to hear the new CD. Jimi thing was insane... well over 18 minutes. They picked it up at the end too. It was 'bumpin'. Sorry for using that word. Watchtower has been unreal in both shows that I have seen this tour. Dave and Boyd were dancing around like crazy. The encore was a great finish to the night. Christmas Song was nice with just Carter and Dave. Nice, high intensity, Tripping Billies to close out the night. It was a good show. If anyone reading this taped the show please drop me an e-mail. nickpepe@mediaone.net Thanks.

Good concert... I was at Giants Stadium this summer and I'd say that show and this show are like apples and oranges. Giants stadium was more of a serious, even romantic feel while tonight it was party party party. The Stone's a great song, but not an opener. Warehouse is the PERFECT opener. Drive in drive out would be, too. Great party song. Song Jane Likes was great, a really fun uppity song, the best of the night in my opinion. JTR was nice and it had a cool jam, it's really becoming a fluent song, but he needs to say "John the Revelator"! Granny is AWESOME, he changes the words almost each time he plays it, I think. Then we get really party'ish. So much to say (sweet) into anyone seen the bridge, what an awesome, funky song, into too much. Fun set list so far.. 41 was a nice, long jam, then the ultimate party song, Jimi thing, for all the stoner's in the crowd, which their were quite a few as always. Good jam at the end, Dave's evolved his guitar solo into something good. What would you say, fun song, into watchtower. Always good. We knew the Christmas song was coming, was good but wished it had the jam (like on remember two things), and finally tripping billies, another definite party song. Overall a good concert, I was hoping so much for two step, it's my favorite song by far, but maybe next summer. Would've liked typical or lie, too, but it was a fun night. Dave is a warrior, with his flu and 102 temp. and all. Anyways, I'm out.. one love to all Dave fans, see y'all this summer!

This was my second dave show that I have been to and all I can say is that they were pretty much similar. The only other concert I had been to was the 7-8-00 concert. So, there were 8 songs that I had already heard before and was really dissappointed to hear them again. But, they still have their perks. Had pretty good seats, dead center in the bowl so it was cool. We were sitting behind these teeneage girls that decide to leave like 2 songs into it so, my girlfriend and I just decide to sit down and watch. The highlights were: Watchtower (Much more powerful without Butch), SMTS - > ASTB? - > TM (I love how these songs just come together), #41 with Everyday outro (Love the everday outro, didnt know what he was singing at first). The rest were pretty standard. All I can say is that it was a great atmosphere. Dave was dancing all around, looking to the back of the stage a good number of times. Boyd was going mad, carter was excellant and so were Stephan and Leroi. The only song I wanted to hear during the concert is Halloween. Why couldn't they have played Halloween? Well, you dont always get what you asked for. Happy Holidays everyone!!!

I didn't memorize the setlist, cause I was just to busy getting down. This was my 12th show but it has been over three years since I have seen a show for various reasons. I was so excited to see them again and they lived up to all my expectations. A very crowd favorite set list. Great Jimmi Thing w/ Jam, #41, The Stone, Too Much, So much to say, all great. Great Tripping Billies encore. IT was all around great. Good dancing crowd. IT was just so great to see that after all this time they still give a good a show as the first time I saw them with 100 people in VA. Now if only I had time to see more. Here's to the greatest live act out there.

This was an interesting show. The first 2/3 of the night was good, but not remarkable. The songs were well-played but nothing to knock you on your keister. Then came Jimi Thing through to the finale... Those might have been the best five-song string I've ever heard. The things I noticed about this show, which made it memorable include: 1. The band was tight; they seemed to have practiced - Leroi was excellent; the best I've ever seen him; and playing a new bari sax judging by the luster. Boyd was, well, Boyd; that is to say he was good. Dave was even pretty good on his solos. The jamming was fun, with a good amount of give and take between the guys. Carter and Stefan were very steady and consistent holding the group together. 2. Dave reemphasized his role as bandleader - sometimes it seemed he even did it at a cost to a jam just to remind the group he was still in charge; Jimi Thing as a case in point. Maybe it was my imagination but I don't think so. 3. Showmanship: Dave was masterful as the set closed, and as he periodically looked up from his guitar, especially during Tripping Billies, you could see an almost devilishly smug expression on his face. He controlled the crowd and both brought them up and brought them back down. Watchtower was my pick of the night fop best tune. What Would You Say had much more life to it than I've ever heard it - glad to see that what was once so overplayed on the radio could sound so good and draw so much energy out of the crowd. Jimi Thing and Tripping Billies kind of tie for my second pick(s) as they were both great. Great night overall - I only wish (as we all do) that I got to pick the setlist...Cheers

The last time Dave and the boys played Providence as a band was in '95 so I was looking for a steller show. Unfortunately, it was anything but. It was a good, energetic show, but I was a little disappointed with the setlist. Dave started the show off with the exact same beginning as Boston. The Stone directly followed up by DIDO. At this point in the show, I probably would have cried if he played BOWA, but they didn't. STJL was next. I thought it was a well played out version. After the song, Dave started playing what I thought was Grace is Gone, but went into Satellite. The crowd is always pumped to hear this. I thought they did a good job with it. After Satellite, Dave reached back for his 12 string and JTR was soon followed - always a good song to hear live. Granny followed with a lot of energy. Dave was all over the stage for this one. The boys followed up with ever popular trio- SMTS into ASTB? followed up by Too Much. LeRoi took over for the Anyone jam and stole the spotlight. Boyd's solo was next with True Reflections, a personal favorite. #41 followed with approval from the crowd. Dave played the "Everyday" outro which has grown quite nicely on me. Jimi Thing followed with Boyd doing his thing in the jam. WWYS was next and Watchtower as the closer. I thought Watchtower was excellent. Dave was all over the stage and the boys seemed to be on fire- what a way to close the set! The crowd absolutly erupted after the song. We just missed catching one of Carter's drum stick as they walked down the ram off the satge. Dave and Carter came back on a few minutes later to play Christmas Song- "a quiet, religious song" and ended with Tripping Billies. Overall the concert had a lot of energy. The audience was really into the show as well as the band. I had a good time and I'm looking forward with hope to a D&T tour.

Well Well Well. Holy Sheeeit. This was my 12th show and it was very memorable. I thought the energy that was produced at 7.9.00 could not be topped, but tonight it was. Up until the show started the security was so lax. There was no one checking tic's at the floor, so we walked right on. Definatly the most energetic show I have seen. Dave had a cold, and reminded us to drink lots of liquids cause it's the cold and flu season, now on to the show. Stone- sweet opener, everyone was getting into it, even stefan DIDO- Nothing to special here, but dave was wailing away, and they jammed out the end longer than usual STJL- Dave's mic was turned off for the first 5 seconds, so you could only hear carter. I thought it was a really old school dancing nancies based on carters beat, but when dave's mic was turned back on it obviously wasn't. Satellite-WOW! I never thought this song would be this good. They even jammed this out a little. This was by far the most energetic satellite I have ever heard JTR- The outro is always amazing, stefan was grooving like a maniac during this. Everyone was into it. Granny- One of my favorites. More upbeat than usual. "Love..Maybe" SMTS > Anyone.? > - I've heard this a lot and this was definitely the best one ive heard. Stefan was going nuts during the bridge Too much- "Suck it up...suck it up" Incredible energy given off through this one, stefan once again was going nuts True Refl- Boyd kicked some serious butt during this one. He had a real nice solo #41-HOLY SHEEEIT. This was amazing. The "everyday" outro lasted about 4 minutes and was soooo goood. Both Boyd's and Leroi's solos were awesome. Dave even though he had a cold, was wailing away. The everyday outro was sooo much better than fleet and allstate. Jimi Thing- WOW!!!WOW!!! This awesome. Boyd and Leroi did a little dueling part where Roi's solo is supposed to be. Kind of similar to dueling banjos. Dave's solo was the best one ive heard yet. Incredible version. Next to 9.13 w/ flecktones, best band version ever, simply amazing WWYS?- Saw this at fleet. Much better version here. Stefan was swaying his feet back and forth, sweet version Watchtower- Simply Amazing. Sweet version. So much freakin energy. Stefan had a nice solo. Excellent set closer Xmas Song- Always a pleasure to hear. "cant buy me love, love, love, all you need is love, love, love" Tripping Billies- I was really hoping for two step or halloween, but this ended the show with a bang. Boyd's solo was sweet, tons of damn energy. Overall the setlist was mediocre, but they played amazing. Best versions of radio songs I've heard. I am soo excited for "everyday" and the spring/summer tour.

We got to the Civic Center around 7:30 after pre-gaming it at our hotel rooms for a couple hours. We found our seats (sec. 233) and met up wiht all our friends, and talked to some people in our area. The lights went down around 8-8:30??? The sounds from where we were sucked. Dave and Carter the whole time. Stone was cool and it looked like we were getting into a good show. The set list just felt a little too typical. I was waiting to get hit with some bombs (Warehouse, Nancies, LIOG, Two Step) not happening in Providence. I don't get it, everyone there was giving off so much energy and the band responds by playing radio stuff. Dave sounded great in Foxboro this summer, but then in Hartford and Providence it sounded like shit. True, the Meadows acoustics are not the greatest but the 2 times I went to Phish in the Civic Center They sounded extremely clean and crisp. Oh well, there were definatly some highlights... JTR, Reflections, 41->> (Everyday) Watchtower. All in all it was definatly a fun night... I was just looking to get swept away.

Good show. Would have been a great show if I hadn't seen Monday night. First off, I went in thinking section 109* was the second tier of 109, but it was the first. Seats were great, thanks Warehouse since Monday's weren't as good. On to the show: Dave was wearing a hat! It was like a shallow winter hat rolled/cuffed and he looked like a little kid, same black pants from Monday night. Stone, DIDO (uh oh, two for two from Monday so far...), someone bombed the sound for a minute and we couldn't hear Dave say "I have a little sister..." STJL was great love to hear it, Satellite(my least favorite song, JTR(love it, great tune), "Drink plenty of fluids, it's the cold and flu season" --> into a powerful Granny, SMTS-(Dave broke a string and I was worried we wouldn't get ASTB-Too Much, but on they went! I never get sick of hearing this jam, lots of dance moves by Dave, TR(pretty standard), #41 I love the Everyday outro its awesome and was extra long tonight, Jimi Thing...Boyd and Leroi were having a duel!! They were playing back and forth and challenging each other, I've never seen/heard anything like it, it was great! WWYS, crowd was going nuts, same with Watchtower including incredible Stefan intro. Christmas Song, I wanted Halloween, but oh well, Tripping Billies left everyone smiling. Can't wait for June/July!

"Remember to drink lots of fluids, its the cold and flu season." After Dave said this a couple of times I finally started to realize he was sick. Before the closer he told us that he had 102 temp that day. That didnt stop him and the band from putting on an amazing show. They opened with a great stone and went right into a rocking Drive in Drive out. Some of the highlights were 41 with the Everyday outro. I am assuming this will be a new song on the upcoming album. Looking forward to that. Watchtower rocked as usual and it was great to see the crowd into it and singing on every song. I predicted the encore with a sweet Christmas song. Nice to see just Dave and Carter out there. Then dave began fiddiling with the opening chords of Billies I knew what was coming. Didnt get every song I was hoping for. No Ants and no Two Step but hey you cant get every song you want. The boys did a hell of a job tonight, especially dave, fever and all. Great to see the crowd into every song as well. Can't wait for the new album!

High energy, low variety. Maybe the guys didn't relize Boston and Providence are separated by just under and hour. After seeing DMB on the 11th at the Fleetcenter and getting an awesome show I was expecting to hit Providence and they would switch it up some. I was wrong. The setlist was almost the same except for Satellite, STJL, Granny and Billies but the energy was through the roof. Hearing the Stone/DIDO for the 4th time out of 5 shows this year was dissapointing but I have to say it is good. DIDO gets everyones blood pumping. DMB is ON this tour. The energy that they are putting into their playing is phenomenal. Dave had a 102 fever tonight and you could tell because his playing style was a bit more aggressive than usual. He was sporting his winter hat and also told us all to 'watch out for the cold and flu season'. He was breaking strings and dancing like crazy last night. Boyd was also very into the show putting a lot of energy into an awesome Jimi Thing jam. For ASTB Leroi pulled out the baritone sax and did a different solo than normal. It was good stuff. Interesting crowd last night. Security was very lax and the floor looked like a total mess. No checking tickets on the way down or anything. Also, the skinny guy in front of me, although seemingly cool, was sniffing cocaine during the show and that doesn't jive with me. And whoever says the Warehouse seating is totally random is full of it. I am always seated near the same Warehouse people for every show I go to. But I still love DMB and had an awesome time and they put on a good show and I will see them again come next spring.

I should just repost my review from Monday's show... ugh. The show was almost exactly like the show on Monday. You'd expect them to change the setlists around at venues less than an hour from each other... I could expect similar setlists in LA and NYC... Anyway, it was nice that there was no pat-down at the door. Beer bottles were sold (with beer in them) inside the venue; they didn't have to pat down for weapons if they were selling 'em inside. Show was most definitely not sold out. Lack of security was nice (in some ways) as I was eventually able to jedi down to second row section 110... Lack of security didn't help in the brawl that erupted on the floor when about twenty drunk frat boys started going at it. Assholes. STONE -- I hoped that it would start out with some other song, like Seek Up... Less energy than at Fleetcenter. DIDO -- Start to feel that the show will be like the Fleet show... song was redeemed with added "smokin' the hookah" lyrics. STJL -- It diverges from the Fleet show. Kickin' song. Technical troubles at the beginning of the song; house sound wasn't turned up until about five seconds in, all you could hear was Carter's acoustic-ized drumset... SATTELITE -- New intro; ugh, bad song. JTR -- Faster than normal. Dave's pickup literally drops off of his guitar and hangs down below guitar for last ~45 seconds or so. Outro for this song is really the best one they have in their repetoire right now. GRANNY -- Nice, I hoped to hear it. Crowd really into it. SMTS -- Wow, how'd I guess that they'd play it? Nice, but tiring after hearing it at almost every concert. Jam into: ASTB -- Pretty much Led Zep's The Crunge, it's a kickin' jam. Dave switched his guitar with the guitar tech during the song. Picked up (either bong or inhaler) and then took some sips of some bottled water afterwards (all during the song). Jam into: 2 MUCH -- Pretty much always comes after ASTB. Not much to say. JIMI THING -- Jammed into new groove with duel between Leroi and Boyd before Dave brings it back to Jimi Groove and starts his own solo. WATCHTOWER -- Nice, short. Ended first set because of Dave's "102 temperature." Hoped there would be more to the set. XMAS -- Encore #1, Carter and Dave only. Nice song, I wish they didn't play it at every show this tour, though. Again, fitting tribute to Lennon with "cant buy me love" and "all you need is love" lyrics. TRIPPING -- Whoa, hadn't heard this since the summer. Nice.

Well..I guess one can only say seeing a DMB concert is like pizza or sex..even when its bad...it's good. After traveling to Minnesota...then to Alabny...then to Boston..and 2 TREMENDOUS nights at MSG(okay..I only saw the 2nd night..but none of you know that)...I was really looking forward to the final two shows of the tour. Unfortunately..Mr. Matthews was a little under the weather..so this show and Sunday's show in Philly (yes..I am writing this on a Monday..you have not entered the twilight zone) fell a little short of expectations. For being ill, Dave put a tremendous amount of effort and energy into giving the fans all he could for two hours(show was from 8:30-10:30), but it was just unfortunate after those impressive Garden shows that he got ill from partying too much...TOO MUCH... in NYC. Even though Rudy has gotten rid of all the strip joints...so where the hell did Dave party?? And if Dave being sick wasn't enough..the sound guy F***ED up the first five seconds of STJL..my favorite song...DAMN HIM!! Oh well...can't complain..but I will....anyways.. always manage to have fun at these shows..and I guess that's the important thing. Well, see y'all next tour... Merry Xmas..Happy Chaunakah..and Happy Kwanza to all! Peace. Bake

Let me just start by saying how much I love those nice people in the Warehouse. Especially that nice guy who upgraded our tickets from section 211 to front row center! Let me tell you, this was my 8th DMB show and it's a completely different world from up there. So the setlist was a bit like 12/11 at the Fleet (which I also caught), and so Dave had a cold, but can you find a band with more energy and heart than these five? I think not. Highlights of the show for me were Granny, (especially when Dave winked at my roomate and I during the "next pretty girl" line), and #41 (love the Everyday outro and Dave seemed somewhat surprised that the front row already knew the lyrics). I was digging the Beatles tribute outro to Christmas Song and Watchtower doesn't get any better than this. A little competition between Boyd and LeRoi for solos on Jimi Thing perhaps? But it's all in good fun, I'm sure. And Stefan was rocking out more than I've ever seen before. He better watch out or those lizards behind him are gonna take over the stage. Side Note: I got his autograph and shook his hand before the show and just let me plug the man here as being one of the sweetest and most gracious guys you'll ever hope to meet. And, like everyone else, I was hoping for Two Step, but what can you do? Give the boys their dues, they deserve it. This is music at its purest and most passionate. Gotta love it. Much love to all you other DMB fans out there. See you this summer!

Tonight's set was really similar to the show Monday in Boston but, one thing was different and that was the songs were played ten times better than the Fleetcenter show. Stone and DIDO were better as openers as Dave in his blue beenie hat and the rest of the boys hit the PCC stage. The sound guy screwed up the beggining of STJL but the band played it smoothly, Satellite still sweet as usual. JTR, I never really was a fan of the song but tonight somehow it hit me how good the song really is maybe cause the lovely ladies weren't there. Granny awesome again cause no lovely ladies, SMTS and Too Much awesome as usual. I'm getting really sick of True Reflections (7 of my 8 shows they played it) but, they made up for it with my fav. tune #41 again. Jimi Thing, WWYS, and Watchtower better than Monday. Throughout the night Dave kept mentioned the cold and flu season as he sipped from his coffee or who knows something cup until he mentioned after the great playing of the Xmas Song that he woke up with a 102 degree temperature but still felt pretty damn good. Thats it Dave!!! The band ended with Tripping Billies to end probably one the best weeks of the my life so then one the drive home after my 8th DMB show I realized only a few short months to the Summer Tour 2001!!!

Last night's show was the best of the five shows I have seen. The venue was small, but the energy the fans had was amazing. Dave and the gang really used the crowd to their advantage. They started of with the Stone right into Drive in Drive out. Same as the beginning at the Fleet but still good. Dave busted out some danceing moves during DIDO. Then they went in the Song that Jane Likes. Unfortunately, the mike wasn't working so we missed "I gotta little sister named Jane and this is the song that Jane likes." Nevertheless Boyd did well at the beginning which set the tone. Satellite: first time I heard it live and it did not disappoint. JTR, Granny, SMTS-->ASTB-->Too much: i was expecting it and it was awesome as usual. #41: always love to hear this one. The "everyday" lyrics at the end worked well with the rest of the song. The highlight of the show came during Jimi Thing. THE BEST VERSION EVER. The "battle" between Boyd and Leroi was mind blowing. Great funk at the end by dave. He knows how to jam on an accustic guitar. Next was WWYS. Great song, but i was a little disappointed that this could have been the ending. But, Stefan started wailing on the bass and i knew it was time for Watchtower. Much better than the closer on Monday. The lights really aided this song. "No reason to get excited!" the lights flooded the floor and added to the whole effect. Encore: I was expecting Grace and Ants, but he did Christmas Song and Billies. "This is sort of a religious tune." Great song with a strong meaning. Billies: Boyd went off on Billies. That is his song to shine. The yellow and green lights excited the crowd. Everyone was singing "eat drink and be merry" and dancing. A great ending to a great show. Nothing like I expected. Well thats all for me until their next tour. Thanks to all the guys in the band for starting my vacation off so well.

I would just like to say that Dave disappointed me for the first time ever. I went to the show on Monday, December 11 in Boston at the Fleet Center and it was almost identical to the one in Providence. It was a sad night. I was there with 5 of my friends and none of us knew what to say.

Nice.

Well I'm gonna try to tell it how it is. First of all, thanks to the Warehouse i was stuck with seats in 233. So I was thinking to myself, I need to get closer. The local radio stations here have been giving away tickets all week. So to my luck, I call and win tickets!!! Section 108, literally right next to the stage. I gave my old tickets to my mom and brother(who are now obsessed with dmb), and i took the better seats. The Providence Civic Center is like the best place to see dmb. There is like no security at all! Me and Gary stood behind the stage and stared at Carter's kit for like 10 mins, the security guard was just sitting in one of the seats and when I walked by him, I told him that Carter Beauford was my hero. He just kinda looked at me. Ne ways on with the show The Stone- terrific opener(hehe gary i knew they would open with it). I have never heard this song live before so it was extra special. It really got the energy going. The atmosphere before the show was pretty laid back, but that would all change. DIDO- awesome, I love hearing these two right next to each other, I wish they made a little closer transition though. STJL- as you may have heard, there was a little technical problem in the beginning with the mics, so you could only hear carter for like 5 seconds, it just gave it more character though Satellite- once you hear this song in concert once, you dont really need to hear it again, the stars on the ceiling were a plus though JTR- the energy picks back up here, the outro is just amazing, Dave was dancing like a madman all nite Granny- i reallly liked hearing this song tonite, during the part where he says ( i through my faith, to the next pretty girl to come my way), i looked at the girl next to me hoping for a smile or something , it didnt happen, its all good though SMTS- pretty standard version, the only highlite was knowing that ASTB was next ASTB- just perfect as usual Too Much-- got dave dancing again, even though the poor guy must have felt like crap True Reflections- i think during this the energy took a little lull, its was good to hear without the ladies though #41- started off kind of slow, then just picked right up as usual, the best part was when me , lang, gary and mike? were yelling the everyday part jimi thing- oh boy o boy, definitely the best song of the nite, the duel between leroi and boyd was definitely the sweetest part of the show, dave's solo was pretty ill, we were hoping it would go into warehouse, bc it sounded like thats what he was playing WWYS- pretty ok, nothing special, mucho energy though Watchtower- this song always seems like it has more energy when it is a closer, rather during the middle of the site, great way to close Christmas Song- very cool to hear in concert, carter gives it a more upbeat feel in some places Billies- very good to hear it as a closer, really really really wanted to hear halloween before it though, my heart kind of dropped when i saw the rest of the band walking out on stage, still a great show with a ton of energy!

All in all I would have to say this was the best Dave show I have ever been to. I thought it was going to be bad b/c it was indoors, and im used to outdoor shows, but the band was definitley in groove mode that night. I heard a lot of songs i hadnt heard live, like JTR & What would you say. Granny was awesome and Jimi Thing was just unbelievable. They jammed for a good half hour on that song alone. Watchtower was a great closer, and tripping billies rocked for an encore. The lighting was awesome to. Only complaints is there was no Crash, which i havent heard live in a while and was kind of looking forward to, and no Two Step, which i still havent seen live. Definitley a great show though!
