Well... Tonight was awesome... probly the best concert i have ever been to. Lets start with #41-- Faaaaaaaaaaaantastic, thats all i gotta say. On Warehouse during the stop time, my friends and I yelled "BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!" every time the music stopped... and soon the whole audience and even Dave himself picked it up. OSW was nice, and Say Goodbye tickled my fancy... Carter's drum solo kicked ass. Then, my friends and I yelled "Jimi Thing!" and they played it... thats the last time we yelled cuz some gay taper in front of us was getting pissed. Sweet Up & Down was SSSSSSSSSuper, I love that song. Typical Situation was very groooooovy. It was the highlight of the evening. I was feelin the new outro. Little Thing was cool, and Grey Street was nice as well. Bartender was great. I like it with the whole band much better than with just Dave and Tim, the same goes for Digging a Ditch. Crush and DIDO were pretty standard. When I heard Dave say, "I got a little sister" I about sauced my pants... I looooove that song. Next, I saw a crew member pull out the 12 string and Dan Myers came back out on stage, so I was expecting to hear JTR, which is a great song, and I like the new outro alot better than the one they did with Santana last year. #40 was cool, not as good as on Lister Supported though... the rest sort of sucked for an encore.. There was also some cool Davespeak... something about a motherfuckin scorpion on the mic... PEACE!

What can I say, a fabulous show. I would probably rate this the second best of the tour so far. The lighting was ok, because Riverbends structure is so weird, you cannot actually see all the lights. Somewhat disappointing. The lawn looks like it would blow. You can only see from certain angles because of the way the facility is structured. I was impressed to how the Riverbend staff regulated on smoking in the pavillion area. Other venues claim there is no smoking but do not always regulate on it (Deer Crek). I would just like to first start off by saying that the crowd tonight was quite impressive. Despite the two lovers in front of me making out and an idiot next to me asking me what the name of all the new songs and the songs that were newly recorded with the band, an excellent excellent crowd. They deserve some applause. This crowd, unlike most of the Deer Creek crowds were very respectful of the band. They were not throwing things, they new a good portion of the lyrics, and they didn't make the concert a social gathering. I was impressed. First off though, Guster, excellent as always and I actually got to meet Adam Gardener. He stepped out of the patio area after the show and watched Dave from the lower pavillion area and we got to chat!! Super nice guy. Anyway, on with the superb show. A side note really quickly on what the band was wearing. Boyd was showing off his chest tonight. He had a button down shirt on with all of them undone. Not so sure Emily would be happy. Carter had on a Cincinnati Reds shirt. What a nice guy, showing off his spirit. Anyway, I will admit that I was dying to hear Seek Up as an openner, has yet to even be played on the new tour. Didn't happen, instead we got an excellent #41. During Leroi's solo, his flute wouldn't work for some reason and so he had an extended sax part in which he freestyled a beautiful solo. Sounded great. Warehouse with the stop time intro was superb. I was feeling it with the crowd. During the stop time intro when the band would stop playing, the whole crowd would chant "WOOO". It sounded great, even Dave was saying by the third or fourth "woo". It was neat. Dave also used a lyric from the Red Rocks version of WH, cannot remember what it was off the top of my head. One sweet World with the instrumental intro just sounds beautiful. It really does. It sounds so pretty leading into the song. Song sounded great too. Say Goodbye, pleased to hear it again. Carter had a wonderful solo to start out the song and so did Le Roi, now that his flute was finally working! Jimi Thing, holy cow. All out jam!! Sounded excellent. Dave had a great solo and so did LeRoi. LeRoi just all out jammed on the song. The song seemed to go on forever and no one wanted it to end. Sweet up and Down, played now at I believe every show, but it's growing more and more on me. I appreciate hearing it at all the shows now. Typical Situation was superb. The lighting was fabulous for the song. Dave had that poem now going on at the beginning of the song before the "10 fingers" lyric. They also changed the chorus around once and Dave said "It's a difficult situation in these typical times, too many voices". Sounded cool, not sure if that's been played before. Little Thing, what can I say!! I will admit that I don't know the words to this song. However, it was either a tease or just a verse but it sounded excellent. It was just Dave himself, not the whole band. Great though!! Grey Street gets better each show. I'm still trying to get down the lyrics! Bartender they are playing a lot too. Sounds pretty good. Probably my least favorite of the new material but still not bad by any means. Crush was next and it was marvelous. Probably, if not the best, one of the best versions of the song I've ever heard. Just excellent. Boyd had a great solo and so did Dan Myers, he just wailed on the soprano and sounded great. LeRoi had his flute solo and then Carter had his drum solo. Song just sounded superb. When Dan Myers was finished, Boyd and Dave both shook his hand on a job well done. He deserved it too!! DIDO sounded great. Always does, I thought for sure that was going to be the closer before the encore just because it seemed to be that way, but it wasn't. There was more. Song that Jane Likes was great sounding as always!! Again, Boyd and Dave were jamming before the "would you like to play" lyric was spoken. Sounded great. JTR sounded great. Still trying to get use to the different lyrics. Too much, everyone knew was the initial closer. Great lighting on the song. Sounded great and had the suck it up fill it up fuck it up lyric. On to the encore. #40, sounded wonderful. Too bad it was just the first verse. It still sounded great nonetheless. Diggin a Ditch, sounded great, pretty standard. Two Step sounded GREAT. I figured Billies or Ants would be the closer, but I was wrong. They played the hell out of it. Dave screwed up the lyrics and didn't realize it till it was time for the chorus. He played it off rather well though. Must have had a little too much to smoke before the show. Carter had a superb solo. He did something not the norm. During the part where the song starts to slow down rather than him just hitting the snare drum with his sticks he went into hitting the low ride and suspended symbol and alternating, it sounded great! You'll know what I mean if you acquire the show. The song went on for quite some time but in the end, I was very impressed. This was an excellent show and I hope everyone gets a chance to hear it. I'll see you back at Riverbend again tomorrow...

Arrived at Riverbend in plenty of time to wind down from the traffic nightmares and catch a little bit of Guster's set. I do wish they had a longer opening stint - be sure to check them out if they're coming to your town! Funny guys, good tunes. Can't wait to see them again tonight! The band arrived on stage at 8:15 and after the obligatory shuffling around the stage broke into #41, which completely suprised me as an opener! I absolutely loved it, got the crowd moving and everyone seemed to adore it. By the time Warehouse was played next, the crowd was whipped up and truly into the show. During "Warehouse," the crowd would yell "HEY!" on the stop-time parts, eventually even the Fenton & Co. got into it, lighting up the entire crowd on the "HEY!" parts. It was an absolute blast and the closest thing to a Phish-like crowd cohesiveness that I've ever seen at a DMB show (thanks to Jaret Brower for refreshing my memory on that one). It was easy to call One Sweet World as the next song, it's getting easier to tell from Dave's guitar noodling between songs, and unfortunately I think he lost a bit of the crowd here, but certainly not our section! By the way, the Warehouse members sitting in the pit to the right of the stage were amazing! They made the show really, really fun for me. Hope to see you all again tonight. If you were at the show, the group I'm referring to is the one right in front Leroi's side of the stage! We were screaming and chanting and pointing at him incessantly. Hasn't Leroi just blown everyone away this tour?? He was the absolute superstar of last night's show. Next I see Carter start with the drum intro, and glance quickly over to Leroi and see him grasping that flute, and I'm all "Holy shit, Say Goodbye!" which to me is a complete treat, haven't seen it since my very first DMB show 4+ years ago!! By now I was in complete nirvana, as was the entire crowd. Good time here to mention what a great Riverbend crowd it was. Sold out and in a great mood, everyone clapping and screaming and truly dancing and getting into it. Not nearly as uptight as some of the Polaris crowds were, and coming from a Cincy crowd, that's saying a lot! Go Cincinnati! Yeh. Quick aside: Dave announced at the show last night that it had been 8 Days since he'd had a ciggie, and that you can tell because you can't taste your tongue anymore. It's been 4 months and 3 weeks since VolcanoJen quit smoking (like you care), so much, much love goes out to Dave and that silky smooth gorgeous voice of his that he's saving for the future. Maybe instead of the annoying (sorry) #40 signs, we could hold up "Thanks For Not Smoking CIGGIES, Dave!" signs tonight. Or, not. Ahh, next up is Jimi Thing and I'm thinking to myself, "Man, what a show, what a set, I'm in heaven, I want to share the love" so I headed back to my friend in the cheap seats and exchanged my fourth row ticket with him so he could boogie down front to his favorite song. I enjoyed Jimi (which was, as always, great but nothing out-of-the-ordinary) from the lawn, which was in full-on rodeo-style party mode, along with the amazing Sweet Up & Down which baffled the crowd but nonetheless got them dancing their collective asses off. This is gonna become the boogie-down song of the shows, I'm tellin' ya. Next up is Typical and as always, I am beyond ecstatic to enjoy this moment at a DMB show. This is the song that absolutely unifies the crowd and by now I'm back up front and just loving life and all around me. Again, what a set, what a show, I'm thinking, and then, as Typical ends and a new song starts, I'm like, holy mother of God, he is NOT playing Little Thing is he? Why yes, he is, and the fans down front go absolutely 100% banana-fueled ape shit, I'm here to tell you. It was a short, sweet version, and Dave smiled very coyishly when it was over, as if to say, "Hey! Thanks for indulging me!" Why, you're welcome Dave, now give us some Grey Street and it'll be the perfect show! Which of course, is what happens next, and we're dancing yet again to Grey Street, my absolute fave new song from the forthcoming album, love it love it love it hope to hear it again at Tuesday night's show! Yeh, so next the nice kid from Guster came out to play on Bartender and I'm still in new song heaven. Seems like the crowd all around us loved Bartender especially. What a show, what a set list, and then... Yes! Could it be? Oh wow I think it is... you mean to tell me that they're gonna play a song off of BTCS and it's NOT Don't Drink the Water or Rapunzel? No, no, it's not, yes, yes, YES! It's Crush and I'm ecstatic. My first Crush EVER, and it's about damned time. It rocks the house, brings it absolutely down. Now don't make fun of me or anything, because I'm sorry, but Crush is a great tune, exactly the jazzy kind of heat the show needed at this point. It was a great moment, everyone singing along, Stefan grinning like a fool, everybody's happy, everybody's free. Yes! So now I'm glancing at my watch and realizing this is turning into one kick-ass long show! It's at least 10:30 by now, and at the Polaris shows, we were already into the encores by now. But no, no my friends, the boys are going to play Drive In Drive Out for us next, which I'm loving but thinking boo, that's gonna be the last song before the encore, but I'm wrong, because the next thing that happens shocks just about everyone in the house. "I have a sister who's name is Jane. This is the song that Jane likes." You can just imagine the ecstasy that surrounded me and others in our section who were high-fiving and smiling and loving life and all that goes with it. The Song That Jane Likes! Could this show get any more perfect? Well, yeh, because next is JTR which I *finally* recognize now that I've got my head out of my bum. It's great, it's 10:45, and by the time they start up with "Too Much" I know that's it before the encore, but who can deny the love of "Too Much?" It's boogie-down time in Riverbend, and the boys leave the stage (Dave making a pretty big deal out of shaking the hands of those in the front row center, seemed like he knew them, or maybe just thanking them for buying the auction-charity tix?), and they're back on around 11:00, and I'm hope-hope-hoping for #40, which we get, followed by Diggin A Ditch which I love and I don't care what everyone else says, it's beautiful and I love it at a show, mellow can be good for you! The folks behind me say "Hmmm this must be his next big hit," and I can't agree more, except maybe I think Bartender might take that distinction. I see the way Leroi is clutching that violin and yes, I know Two Step is the closer and I couldn't be happier. This song is just boogie-down heaven, folks, and it's becoming a GREAT closer (first night Polaris). The boys leave the stage at (are you ready for this?) 11:15!!!!! Longest show of the tour so far, and we in Cincinnati skipped away from this show walking on thick, humid air. For my money, this show is second only to the Polaris opener in my all-time fave DMB shows book. I can't believe what a great tour this is, everyone. Something has happened to these boys during their studio time, I think, there's a cohesiveness, a joy, a jam-quality that is at an all time peak and the shows are SO much more exciting than the last of the BTCS support shows last summer and the summer before (!) even. Run, don't walk, and make sure you catch a show this summer! It's true, The Lovely Ladies and Butch are joining the tour tonight for the second Cincy show. We're certainly going to get an altogether different show tonight. Let's hope that it even begins to approach the magical joy of 6-26-2000! Mmmmm, one more night in Cincinnati and then I'm off tour till Cleveland in August. :-( Tonight I'm gonna dance, dance, dance...

Howdy Ya'll!!!! I just came from one of the best DMB shows that I have ever seen. Through out the whole show, Dave was saying goofy things which was awesome. The first thing that he said when he came on stage was "I like to play with balloons!" in some crazy voice. He opened with #41 which was awesome. Then Warehouse. All of my friends were screeaming during the pause in the Stop-Time intro. One Sweet World was next. Very good, especially when Dave started talking that jiborish stuf at the end. There wasn't a swim naked outro, so the thingy at the top is wrong. I was hoping for it though. Say Goodbye was next. Carter tore this up!!!! Very good version, especially when Dave changed the lyrics to "It's cooling off outside and the fire's bright". Jimi Thing was next. Only a standard version of this, but still a favorite of mine. Sweet Up And Down was AWESOME!! This is the best new song by far! Typical was sweet, especially the Mexican sounding outro. Little Thing was cool too. Grey Street was pretty good, although it sounds a little like SUAD. Bartender was next. This was soooo awesome!!!! At the end, Dave was screaming like a mad man!!!!! Crush was next. Dan Myers tore it up!!!!!! Drive In Drive Out was ok, but the Song That Jane Likes was the highlight of the show! When he said "I have a little sister named Jane" I almost made my pants into a urination station!!! BAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!! JTR was really awesome. I love the outro. Too Much was really good. I like the "F*** it up F*** it up" instead of "suck it up" #40 was soooo cool dude!!! I love Digging a Ditch, but I was extremely dissapointed with Two Step. It would have been cool if they would have played Watchtower, because i heard them close with Two Step at Polaris, but its ok.a All in all, it was A-OK!!!!!! See ya tomorrow night. Oh yeah, on the way home we all got naked in the Limo!!!! Because my name is Paco and my friend Chico was with me and we went to play some plinco and eat some burritos at Taco Bell!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alright, I would like to start out by saying that I was fairly drunk for this concert, so I probably missed some of the little things. However, it was a good concert and I wish that I had had one less beer so that I remember more of it, anyway. I missed Guster again, but oh well, cant do much about it. #41, fucking awesome. I had called that as my opener in deer creek, but I guess I was just a show off. Warehouse w/the stop time intro is great. The crowd really got into it, shouting "whaa" at the stop time, and even Dave joined in. To my knowledge that is the first time that's ever happened. It was also my first time to hear the song live, so I was very happy. One Sweet World is just a beautiful song w/the intro. Say Goodbye was fairly typical, kinda disappointing after the great one on Saturday. I wish they would play that after #41, the two just seem to go perfectly together. Jimi was a great surprise, and a great version. Band really got into it. SUAD was good, the band seems to be getting that one together. Typical was a nice surprise as well, the crowd really got going and some of the lyrics and the outro seemed different. I honestly don't remember little thing or grey street being played, but I think that may be when I left to find a friend to sneak down to out seats. Bartender was also disappointing b/c the version on Saturday was just unbelieveable. Dave just didn't get into it as much. Crush was nice to hear. Not too much jamming, but I love the song. That was the only song off BTCS Saturday or Monday night.interesting. DIDO has never been one of my favorites, but it was still a good song. "I have a little sister her name is Jane and this is the song that Jane likes." I almost shit my pants! I love this song and it was definitely the highlight of the evening. The band jammed out before the lyrics began. JTR is probably my favorite new song, and the band really got into it on this one too. Too Much was a good closer, got the crowd pumped. As for the encore, I have a funny little story. See, as I was semi-inebriated, we lost a ticket on the way into the venue, and since they were warehouse tickets riverbend said they couldn't print me out a new one. I had my warehouse card and the envelope it came in saying that I had those two seats, so after about 45 min of messing around they were nice enough to give me a ticket and let us in. I talked to the supervisor afterwards and he said that he had to talk to "the big man backstage." I don't know, but maybe he meant Dave! Cool. But.before the show I had gone to Kinko's and gotten 250 #40 signs in hopes that if he saw them he would play it, except that the other dickhead supervisor confiscated them from me at the door. So, when they came our for the encore and Dave started messing around with the c chord I went nuts knowing what was coming. I don't know if Dave found out about my story or not, but I'd at least like to think that he played the song b/c of me. So I was very excited though it was only one verse. Digging a Ditch was pretty good, nothing special. Two Step was a great way to end the evening. The band was really into it and the song just kicks ass w/all the solos and whatnot. Overall I would have to put my stamp of approval on this concert, probably the best one he's played at riverbend since I started seeing them in 97.

This was my first show of this tour, but it looks like the best one so far. I am from Cincy, but I would have to say that the crowd sucked. I was in the lawn, because I am a poor college student, and at times I heard people say "What is this shit?" at the beginning of the encore. I guess you had to be in the pavilion to appreciate this crowd, cause in the lawn it was a social festivity. The Dave Speak was awesome. He first said something about the pretty red balloons that someone had thrown up in the lawn. His lines about the scorpions were hilarious. Everyone seemed to be playing very well last night, especially Carter, who's solo blew me away. Here is my opinion on the setlist: #41 - pretty standard, nothing like the one at the Coliseum a year or two ago. Warehouse - the intro was incredible with the crowd chanting, and the song was great too. One Sweet World and Say Goodbye - usual sounding, but still great. Jimi Thing - well it is my favorite, but I think this is when I realized this concert was kicking ass, great solos. Sweet Up & Down - this is my favorite of the new songs, it was played really well compared to an mp3 I have of it from 6/20. Typical Situation - very cool. Little Thing - a nice tease, very cool to hear. Grey Street - another good new song, much better again. Bartender - great song, played very well. Crush - very surprising for me, at this point I was commenting on the lack of BTCS songs, and then was expecting DDTW, this was very nice. Drive In Drive Out - nice, I thought he was going to be done until the encore after this one but I was way wrong. Song that Jane Likes - another wonderful surprise, always nice to hear. JTR - at this point I didn't know if this show was ever going to stop, a good song though. Too Much - energy was very high during this song, always a good song to hear. #40 - I knew they would tease this song sometime in the night, new lyrics are pretty good. Digging a Ditch - never heard this one before, and was quite surprised to see it in the encore. Two Step - Dave screwed up the lyrics, but jammed it out in the end, very nice ending to the show. Can't wait until tonight's show.

this was a no-nonsense show. dave did not mess around. i've seen the band a number of times before, but this was the tightest and most cohesive they've ever played. only two radio-songs made me happy. i can hear these on the radio anytime - i came for "grey street!" that song is already a classic! "sweet up& down" and "digging a ditch" are also songs to be reckoned with! this show was excellent, andeveryone was plenty occupied in the lawn with people passing around girls and a big stuffed sheep.

I was on the lawn for this show, so I thought it was excellent, but many of the "radio" fans probably did not agree. First, Guster was incredible. For everyone who didn't really listen to them last night, give them a chance tonight, because they are an excellent band. Dave and the boys really rocked, so let me get to the highlights. #41 is a great opener, and I don't think I'll ever get tired of that song. Warehouse was excellent, but I don't think the crowd really got into it. It's a shame, because they really jammed on it. Maybe they should save that one for later in the show when the crowd is ready to actually LISTEN to the music. I'm really impressed with the new songs. Sweet Up and Down is just perfect to dance to. Grey Street gets better every time I hear it. And I think Bartender sounds different every night. This was my ninth show, and I finally got my first "Song That Jane Likes." Going into the show, I even told my friends that it was the only song I needed to hear. It was absolutely incredible!! After that song, I didn't care what they played! I, unlike most of the people around me, really enjoyed the encore. #40 was beautiful, Digging a Ditch is really growing on me, and Two Step is one of my favorite closers. All in all, a great show. I'm really looking forward to tomorrow night! See you all there!!!

I've been to every show of the tour so far and this one was the best...so far. A little change for the 27th with Butch, and the "lovely ladies" showing up. But the 26th was the best so far, as far as energy, and set list. Thats all.

Well I got to admit I was quite dissapointed when I walked out if the show not becasue the performance but man does that place SUCK. The sound was terrible but what an amazing setlist. I was suprised that with such an amazing set list the crowd was so dead and lame, i couldnt believe it. But anyway 41 was an awesome opener I was pleased then to hear warehouse right after cause it is so awesome in concert cause Dave is so into WOOOOOOOH in the beginning. One sweet world I had heard as in opener at the second Deer Creek show but it was nice to hear again, it was quite funny during the song he broke a string so he had to change while he was singing, the crowd loved it. After the song ended I saw Leroi pick up the flute and I knew we already heard 41 so i knew it had to be Say Goodbye and sure enough Carter started his intro which was awesome. As soon as that ended Jimi Thing was up next it must have been well over 15 minutes. I hadn't heard it since last tour so it was nice to hear. Sweet up & down was next it was cool to actually be one of the few that knew the song and knew the words, the crowd actually responded well to all the new songs. Typical came up next but i don't know it sounded a little off tonight but it was cool to hear Dave go right into Little Thing which I had never heard in concert. GREY STREET was next, that song kicks!!! I have a feeling in the years to come they will close with that song. Boyd then started Bartender and it sounded cool as usual. About a minute after the song ended Stephan started his intro into Crush and that got the crowd back on their feet, it was awesome to hear as usual. I was suprised to then hear Drive IN Drive Out becasue during the past the band has played it as an encore song but it was nice to hear anyway. Then next Dave gave his little speech " I have a sister named Jane, this is a song Jane like..." It was awesome tongiht Dave was real into the song. JTR (aka John the Revelator) is not nearly as good as it use to be but i like how the band remade it. This was another first for me to hear Too Much as a closer it was awesome the crowd was the loudest it had been all night during the song. After about 10 minutes the band came back out for the encore Dave started with the first verse of 40 which i always love to hear then into Diggin a ditch, it did not go over well with the crowd although i liked it. Then Two Step was halerious because Dave screwed up so much, he started singing the 2nd verse first and then went back to the 1st verse and then the chorus. It was interesting but anyhow it was an awesome setlist and cant wait for to shows here in Chicago.

So. Guster's opening set was absolutely amazing! I'd heard OF the band, but never actually heard anything from them...I was totally fascinated!!! They're great!!!!!!!!!! The very first thing that hit my mind when the DMB started into #41 was the near-famous 30 minute version from 11.21.98...could they repeat? Obviously not, as it was the first song of the show, but we can dream, can't we? Still, #41 is a crowd-pleaser, and it definitely caught the attention of this fan and made me even more excited than before! Warehouse got everyone going (which #41 didn't...something about the first song played always gets a standoff-ish response from the crowd), and it even got Dave laughing as the front rows did a fist-pumping thing during the stop-time intro. I thought he was going to have to stop playing, he was laughing so hard...OSW, as usual, had the crowd asking itself "What's this instrumental stuff?", but it led, as always, into a full-blown sing-a-long. I was a bit disappointed that there was no "Swim Naked" part, but that's just me, I suppose. SAY GOODBYE!!!! My date for the show, Sarah, hates this one, but I pulled her fingers out of her ears and made her listen. Once she could actually hear it, she seemed to enjoy it so much more! It's always fun to see how many people will try to sing along with Dave on this one before they realize he changes the lyrics around every night. Jimi Thing followed, which led to the air smelling of burning pot (much less than in years past...thank you!!), and a fantastic jam to the end of the tune. Now, we get into the new stuff! Sweet Up & Down has a great sound to it! There's something about being one of the first people to hear something new that makes it even more special...go us!!! Typical Situation, complete with the "Tear Falls" intro was spectacular...and bathing Dave in blue light was a nice touch, too!!! Next came the single biggest surprise of the evening...is that Little Thing I hear? Holy C-minor, Batman, it is!!! Where did Dave pull this one from? Wow!!! Do it again!!!! Grey Street rocks...can't wait to hear this on the album, and the same with Bartender...having the full band on this one is so much better than just Timmy (but he's great, too!). Sarah got all excited for Crush, and rightly so. It's arguably the most romantic of the DMB love songs, and it always gets people dancing, which makes it an even better experience!!! Drive In...same as always in sound, but at the same time, very very much more alive! It was a little dead the last time I heard it, so this restored my faith in this great song. "I have a sister..."--and the crowd goes wild!!! Another surprising tune, but very welcome anytime! JTR--I agree with Larry Huffman (from one of his Deer Creek reviews) that the jam on the end doesn't fit in well--something is needed. And, why did they take out the lines about John the Revelator? Too Much? Never. Keep playing this one until your fingers fall off, guys!!! #40!!!!!!!! I've been secretly praying to hear this one since I saw it pop up in the setlists from the '98 fall tour, and I wasn't disappointed at all. Everybody to our right knew it and we were all singing and holding one another closely. Diggin' A Ditch...can this really be the same tune as with Dave and Tim? It is? Wow!!! What a great treatment by the full band!!! It's now 5 minutes to 11 PM. I figured the band for done, but Sarah finally got her wish: Two Step. With backwards lyrics, and an extended jam, she kept on grooving until 1110 PM. You should have seen the smile on her face!!!!! She's still talking about it as I type this, actually... In all, TREMENDOUS!!! The couple next to us (Kate and Justin) swore that it was the best show they'd ever seen, and I agree. Most of the crowd was into it, even with the high temperatures and tons of sweat in the air. There were the normal sticklers who don't get excited about anything they're seeing or hearing (some guy who kept yelling for Seek Up between every song), but everyone seemed to really get into it! We were both pumped for the next night, and so ready to come back and DANCE!!!!!
