After seeing the second half of the LA Forum show, I was pleasantly surprised. Where energy was missing on 10/27/98, it appeared here. The whole band, with Tim Reynolds and Greg Howard, performed with quite a bit of enthusiasm throughout the whole set. A really, really long Seek Up opened, and a phenomenal Tripping Billies ended. Wow. This is the best full band show I've seen. No Crash or Satellite!

An excellent show. This was my third DMB show and this was by far the best (better than the famous 5-20-98 Irvine Show with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones). Although Dave did not play Watchtower, Nancies or Lie in Our graves the show was amazing. The whole band was extremely energized- Dave went crazy jumping up and down and pointing at random things, Carter had great solos losing drum sticks along the way, Boyd broke god knows how many strings jamming, dancing, and singing, Stephan jumped and waved to the crowd at the end, and Leroi played without sunglasses on!!!. Highlights: Carters intro into a passionate version of Say Goodbye (a great song that isn't played enough), the 25 minute Seek Up, the crazy intro to Minarets, Greg Howard on the JAM for Dreaming Tree, Boyd's insane solo on Billies, Dave screaming and shaking to DDTW, Warehouse!, Timmy's solo on Crush, and how much fun the band was obviously having during their 3 hour set. They had a great mix of songs from all the albums (considering the impossible task of playing every song that everyone wants, 41 lie in our graves, nancies, crash etc.) Lowlights: no granny.
