Very impressed as always. DMB never ceases to amaze me. I haven't had the time to se a lot of him since I moved out West, but this was a great show. Truly ingenious musical talent. Proudest Monkey always a favorite for me to hear. Satellite brought me back to college days and old romances in Connecticut. The way I see it, if any Dave Matthews show doesn't pick you up and turn you around, thence make you more aware of the beautiful things in the world, you haven't had your eyes open, or your ears. Idea of You is great, can't wait to hear variations over the next 10 years. Louisiana Bayou very cool. Crash, back to those college days again! Dancing Nancies, ditto. Can't Stop...I can't! Awsome song, check it out from Fenway! Need I say more. Robert Randolph showed his talent on Two Step with a lot of energy! Very good. Sister was a welcome surprise. Very sweet. Encore good and left me wanting to be on stage and jam. Left the show and went back East, visited The Muse (Nantucket,MA {R2T}) and wishing for the old days to see Dave and Band in a small venue. A true poetry verified by continued success! See you next year!

I was not expecting an incredible show or anything right after the Gorge and I was right. It had it moments though and I had fun but not in my top 5 shows or anything.

PNP: prefect way to kick things off, I was expecting One Sweet World, glad it was this although Dave song it an octave lower RAPUNZAL: this was one of the highlights of the evening, seemed like they slowed it down a little but lots of energy and the jam at the end was steller PROUDEST MONKEY: first time hearing this one in 18 shows and it did not let down, a great track and Roi was all over it > Satellite: first time hearing it in 5 years, Dave nailed the high parts which was impressive, sounded good IF I HAD IT ALL: I groaned when they started this but it actually sounded really good, good set placement and the end of it is now much better than it was before DREAM GIRL: was ok, not a whole lot to say THE IDEA OF YOU: Awesome! one of the highlights of the night for me, my favorite of the new songs, very catchy, at this point the guitar tech bought out the electric but Dave sent him back and played SHOTGUN: Another new song, nobody in my area knew it, sounded really awesome to, great jam LOUISIANA BAYOU: this one really got the crowd back into the show, always love the jam at the end, Boyd was all over the stage CRASH INTO ME: not to impressed with this, heard it to many times HUNGER FOR THE GREAT LIGHT: Meh, average LOVING WINGS: I like this song, they did it justice, Roi and Rashawn worked really well together on it DANCING NANCIES: Was very happy to hear the opening notes to this one, good version was hoping it would go straight into Warehouse but instead we got CANT STOP: Not sure what to make of this one yet, cool baseline, Dave seemed really into it YOU MIGHT DIE TRING: Robert Randolph came out and I was sure it was going to be Two step, little suprised they went into this, not really a fan of this song but with RR on it it actually sounded pretty impressive, like the new ending to this one TWO STEP: This one was worth the admission price alone, RR was amazing and the band were having a lot of fun playing it, one of the best versions I've ever seen topped prob only by 9/16/00 with the Flektones ENCORE:

SISTER: Dave came out and spoke a little about it, how that he wrote it in the studio and Robert Randolph liked it and so did his sister, sounded really neat, very emotional EVERYDAY: Was expecting the Pig/Stay encore but not to be, this one was alright, nothing special, nobody around me really got in the #36 sing along so that was kind of lame STAY: hoping for Ants here but got Stay, first time hearing this in 5 years to, not amazing, not bad either.

Overall I had fun, 18th show for me and been going since '99, not near my top 5 but that is alright, check out the tapes for the Two step jam though, that was tight!

Band had tons of energy... From the start, Dave was into it as well as Stefan and even the big man (Mr. Ross) was dancing a bit.. Although none of my old favs were played I was happy with the setlist.... Dave's voice was on and the band was nearly flawless.. The new Loving wings jam is a nice suprise.. Other highlights>>>>>Bayou, Hunger and a "off the hook version" of Two Step with Robert R. on the slide guitar... But anytime one is seated in the 3rd row it can't be bad. DMB is the greatest live act ever. See u @ Shoreline Sat. night........ Wieboutwest

It was the worst show I have attended, of about 12 that I have been too. Dave looked like he was really tired or hung-over or both. Looks like the Gorge got the best of him. Hope he hits Sac next year befor He burns himself out up in Washington. I wasnt the only one upset with performance, as thousands up & left prior to the encore. Traffic was a nightmare getting in, Raley field officials could not handle the traffick congestion. Good luck to my brothers & sisters in San Francisco. Hopefully Dave settles in with a nice young lady and some healthy(non-alcoholic) drinks before this weekend. I would like my money back, honestly...

This was my 43rd DMB show since 1995. After a while, you get used to hearing Satellite and Crash Into Me. I enjoyed them. I love every DMB songs, but often prefer to hear some over others. This show was also the first time I had a double shot coffee before the show. I really enjoyed the new songs. They reflect Dave's original writing yet add a new twist to the music.

This band has evolved into a great sound machine. Every show I see is a different individualistic show. The show started with a band (Rapunzel) and the slowed down a bit (Proudest Monkey, Satellite, If I Had It All). DMB got it going towards the latter half. Die Trying was an amazing jam. Loving wings made me feel like I was in Jamaica (they have added a carribean feel to it). Rashawn Ross is the perfect touch to the band with those high octave trumpet notes.

Two step was amazing. I have seen that song many times live, but with Robert Randolph jamming along, it blew the crowd away. The encore presented a soft and delicate song called Sister. It was really nice to hear. Everyday was fun too. I am really starting to get into Stay (Wasting Time). Just every DMB song, they all seem to grown on me sooner or later.

Overall, it was a good show. Every DMB show never ceases to amaze me. For all of you who think any DMB show is not good, you have not experienced the Dave Matthews Band. Attending a show is an experience. You don't have to be a student of music to appreciate their talent, but it is clear they are the baddest brothers with instruments on earth.

Anytime you get a 25 minute Two step closer with Robert Randolph and Dave jammin into the night, that alone is worth DOUBLE what you paid for. Dave did seem a little tired/horse up there, however you'd be a fool not to expect that after 3 straight rockin shows at the Gorge.

The set list was okay in my book. I liked them all, just didnt hear many of my favorites. on the flip side, there were a few songs that he DIDNT play that im thankful for. Sac is traditionaly a weak setlist and a recovery show for the band.

This weekend is sure to be rockin in the Bay, both nights! And lastly, DMB live, front and center (8th row), beats anything I could ever dream of, even if they played Loving Wings for 3 straight hours.

Wasn't expecting much for this show it being in Sac as well as the first concert after the Gorge. But being in the 8th row center was more than I could have ever expected, I think I spent the first few songs just in awe of how close we were! Boyd was his usual rock star self and Dave did look a little fatigued but always puts on great show. Awesome closing with sister to everyday to stay! hat-trick close! Took a friend who has never seen DMB nor was a really big fan, kinda spoiled now, first show being with seats that good. Interested how they look this weekend at Shoreline. But being in row 15 i'm kinda jaded!

This was my 6th show and it was killer...maybe my favorite but then again i was kinda young before so it was still awesome....opening with rapunzel was so great, then monkey and satelite was cool because the camera showed the full moon that night in my hometown of sactown...but i was kinda getting out of it when they played like 4 slow songs in a row....idea of you and shotgun were pretty cool but still wasnt getting alot of energy but i knew they would bring it i was just waiting for it and then it came with louisiana bayou! i love this song especially towards the end and boyd just went nuts! oh great then they played crash ahhhh im sick of that song sorry...hunger for the great light got the energy back up and then into a song i hadent heard before that went into a sick horn number that sounded like i dream of genie...then really got into it when they started playing dancing nancies it was so awesome! i was hoping they went into warehouse which wouldve brought the house down but they played cant stop which was ok..then out comes robert randolph who is so entertaining and they played you might die tryin which was good and even better with those face-melting solos by R.R. Then what made my night was TWO STEP probably my favorite dave song and it was unbelievable!!! CARTER IS THE BEST DRUMMER ON THE PLANET!!!

Then the encore was really nice with dave playing solo a song called sister and i have 4 older sisters so it was goooood! The everyday was awesome especially whjen it goes to #36 which it seemed like only my mom and sis were singing the hani hani's and then finally people started doing it when boyd would sing 36 while dave and carter wiuld sing everyday, just awesome way of doing it...then when it went into STAY i just lost it we were all dancing having a blast which ic like all dave shows!!! cant wait for next year!!!!

As a seasoned fan with amazing seats very close to the stage, I can't say the show was not an insane experience, but I know I was not the only one who thought Dave and the band took it very easy that night. Boyd was extremely mellow for the majority of the show, and while most songs ended with a rockin' jam session, they started with a low dose of energy. I can't help but compare this show with the following two at Shoreline (AWESOME, ENERGETIC, AND INCREDIBLY MOVING by the way)...and while Robert Randolph kicked ass at the Shoreline shows, he kind of ruined Two Step with his steel guitar - made the song sound like a dirty movie version with the waaa waaa waaaaaaaoooo sound of his instrument. After all is said and done, Dave Matthews does not put on a bad show - I know I'd be wiped after a tour schedule like that. His voice was husky at times - but it added character to the songs if that makes any sense. Final words? Low energy at times, but hey dude it's FRIGGIN DAVE MATTHEWS.

High points? Dave's new songs rocked. I think he used every single muscle in his face and body in his performance of Can't Stop. Boyd added such refined music to Shotgun (the violin was so....emotionally engaging), and Sister and Idea of You were extremely heartfelt and touching. Dave really hit those new songs out of the park. The lyrics and music were just beautiful.

After all is said and done, Dave Matthews does not put on a bad show - I know I'd be wiped after a tour schedule like that. His voice was husky at times - but it added character to the songs if that makes any sense. Final words? Captivating new songs, and besides some low energy at times, it's FRIGGIN DAVE MATTHEWS. Next time in 2007.
