Oh my God!!! This was the best concert that I have ever attended. These guys are completely amazing live. It was amazing how well they reproduced the songs from the albums, but at the same time added new twists to each and every song they played. I don't think that any of the 15 songs that they played were under six or seven minutes long. Some of the songs (like Jimi Thing and Lie In Our Graves) went as long as 15 to 16 minutes. That can be attributed to the mind realing solos that each band member broke out while the crowd danced and sang (among other things!!). The energy that The Dave Matthews Band put out for two and a half straight hours kept everyone within earshot on their feet the entire time they were on stage. Even when they took a break befor the encore, the crowd reeled with excitement, knowing that the best was still to come. Boy did they not disappoint, ending with one of thier new songs, Leave Me Praying, and a spectacular renditiion of Ants Marching. THe best part of the concert had to have been either Dave headbanging to Stefan's Bass solo or the ending of Lie In Our Graves, when the song seemed like it was going to end with a 10 second pause, then Dave came back in with, "I can't believe that we would...". For those that don't know, Wolf Mountain is a top notch ski resort in the winter, and, in my opinion, the best place on the planet to see bands perform in the summer. The entire general admission is just the side of the mountain roped off with the reserved seating and the stage at the bottom of the slopes connected to the lodge. I can't think of anyting better than sitting in general admission with ten thousand of my best friends, and as Dave put it, being high from the altitude, (although in both mine and his case, I think it was more than the altitude!) and listening to some of the best music that's around!!

This was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I was most impressed with the two new songs; For the Beauty of Wynona and Leave me Praying. I hope the guys get into the stuido and record them on a new CD for next Summer. As for the rest of the songs I am amazed at how much better they sound live. The Dave Matthews Band is not one of these bands. They get better every time I see them. I am very excited for the future of this band.
