Now Selling Via Napster

DMB has followed through with their plan to sell their music through digital download services, and is now selling their whole catalog of studio and live releases through Napster. The on-line music service gets exclusive resale rights through August 22, at which time the band may offer their catalog through other services. This is not the freewheeling Napster of four years ago, of course, but effectively a new business using the name of the old, competing with Apple's iTunes Music Store and similar services. DMB has made clear, though, that they don't have any interest in selling through iTunes. Billboard has the story. Thanks to Josh Simon for the tip.
