"Live Trax" Compilation at Starbucks

A "Live Trax" compilation will be sold in Starbucks across the country, the coffee company announced in a press release. The release is confusingly worded, but it seems to describe a CD that amounts to a nine-track best of prior Live Trax releases. The tie-in with Starbucks might seem kitchy, but the company's been getting into music releases in a big way — Paul McCartney ditched his label to sign up with the company's Hear Music label, under which he just released "Memory Almost Full." Starbucks figures that six million people walk into their establishments nationwide each morning, so if all of them are playing DMB and are promoting CD for sale on the spot, that could add up to big sales. Thanks to Aaron for the news.
