Dave to Appear at Roman Concert

Dave Matthews is scheduled to appear on the lineup for the May "We Are the Future" concert, Italy's Corriere della Sera reports. DMB fans of a certain age will remember the mid-80s "We Are The World" recording, Live Aid, and Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?", all of which raised money for the poor in northern African nations. We Are The Future, which will be held in Rome, is intended as a sequel to We Are The World, as described in a recent USA Today article. Other artists scheduled to appear are Norah Jones, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Sting, with many more being added. Thanks to Luigi Anastasia for the help. 7:20pm Update: Corriere della Sera be damned, it turns out that there's nothing solid about this -- as before, Dave Matthews has been invited, as have many other artists, but that's all that there is to it right now. Hold off on those plane tickets.
