Short set, but they were trying to accommodate about 20 bands on one stage, so thats understandable. Dave came on saying that he had injured the "throat bone" that makes his singing sound good, but he was going to have fun anyway. LIOG into Gravedigger was cool. Didn't leave the long pause in LIOG like usual. The crowd went wild for Crush, as is expected. I was really surprised by the Maker. Dave said he wanted to do a song by Daniel Lanois before he started and all the little 18 year-old girls went silent because they had no idea what he was talking about, which was kinda funny. Beautiful beautiful song. Dreaming Tree was good too. According to Dave, it was the first time he had ever played it with Tim. Right before Ants, Dave played the opening chords to LIOG again and the crowd went wild but then Dave said "Just kidding." After a laugh he said, "Actually, I was planning on playing that again, but now I can't," and went into Ants. There was a massive exodus after Dave and Tim played, even though John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Willie Nelson were still to play. Good show all around, but I would have liked a few less performers and longer sets, but oh well.
