Holy Friggin' crap.

The versions, the energy, the attitude, the sound! Everything was so rockin' I didn't what to do with myself. The band rolled up the setlst and just pounded us until we couldn't do anything but stand there, mouth agap and eyes wide. Before the encore, it was a special show. But after a sweet yet playful version of Butterfly, they played intro and I absolutly LOST IT. I'm still getting shivers from that night. Once again the band and the Gorge experience delivered. Friday and sunday were mindblowing too, but Saturday was a serious rock show that never seemed to let up.

Thanks DMB (again)

Been to the Gorge for the shows since 2003. This was the best night by far. Can't wait to hear "Shotgun" again. Boyd had an amazing new solo on Grace is Gone that really rocked. American Baby intro was another tour de force by Dave. In fact, this was the best I've seen all the band perform since last year's Red Rocks concerts. Rashawn Ross is a welcome addition. He and Leroi seem to compliment each other well, and I hope his presence helps rejuvenate Leroi. From an outsider's viewpoint, it always seemed a little melancholy to me, watching Leroi off on the side, a bit isolated from the others. But now with Rashawn adding another wind instrument, they seem to have a bit of a bond, and more than once, I spotted them joking and talking with each other.

Every year, I wonder how much longer DMB can continue to keep touring. But after this concert, I can truly say that I believe they're working to keeping the music fresh and innovative. They are still an outstanding live performance band, and I felt a renewed energy during this concert that bodes well for the future of DMB.

WOW! Friday and Sunday were great shows, but Saturday night was the best I've ever seen. DDTW in the middle of the set blew us away, as did the entire evening. The gorge rules! Can't wait to do it again next year. Labor Dave weekend was unforgettable.

This was my eighth year in a row seeing DMB at the Gorge. I was VERY disappointed with the set list. It was way too mellow and the crowd never got into it. I really loved the new stuff which is rare for me while attending a DMB concert. Usualy, I want to hear the old stuff that I've come to love. I have to say that the new stuff was the highlight of the show. The biggest disapointment was having to listen to Rupenzel as the last song of the night. Who even likes that song? It's OK at best and it's no way to end a concert that's for sure. DDTW was the best song of the night and that should say it all. I hope next year is much better!
