DMB May Enter Studio in January

Dave Matthews Band will likely head into the studio in January, Billboard's Wes Orshoski reports. This is the first indication of any plans for a new Dave Matthews Band album. The timing of the news will no doubt prove reassuring to the minority of fans who fear that Dave Matthews' recent solo release indicates a break from the band. The last Dave Matthews Band album was Busted Stuff, which was released in July of 2002. No producer is known to have been selected for the January recordings, though the obvious candidate is Busted Stuff and Some Devil producer Stephen Harris. Even the matter of which studio that they'll use is an unknown -- their state-of-the-art studio in Charlottesville would be a logical choice, but with Everyday, Busted Stuff, and Some Devil all having been recorded elsewhere, it's far from certain. Presumably, further details will become available over the next few months.
