Just in time for Earth Day, the (Hampton Roads) Virginian-Pilot has a review of the charitable and environmental work done by Dave Matthews Band in recent years. Just last year, they worked with the Nature Conservancy to fund the planting of 900 trees to offset their buses' carbon-dioxide emissions. A year before that, they kicked off the One Sweet Whirled global warming awareness campaign, which even prompted one group of Pennsylvania DMB fans to adopt a highway in the band's name.
