"Gravedigger" Nominated for Grammy

"Gravedigger," the first single from Dave Matthews' September solo album, Some Devil, has been nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Male Rock Vocal Performance" category. The song is up against David Bowie's "New Killer Star," Bob Dylan's "Down in the Flood," Lenny Kravitz's "If I Could Fall in Love," and Tom Waits' "Return of Jackie and Judy" (a Ramones cover). Though DMB has been nominated for Grammys before, they have only chalked up one win so far, for "So Much To Say," in the "Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal" category. The Grammy Awards will be presented at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 8, broadcast live on CBS at 8pm EST/PST. Our thanks to Michael Jaworski for the news.
